Things have not improved. The kitchen is disordered and dirty, although I cannot tell to what extent because there is so much clutter. The food tasted better this time...but I was sick for a week and it suspiciously started the day after I ate their food. Obviously I cannot conclusively say it was their fault, but based on the condition of the kitchen, I wouldn't be shocked. For takeout Chinese food this place is the best in the area. The way to tell us that the quality of the meat - no tendons or grisle. Sure there is a higher ratio of veggies to meat but that's normal for any Chinese restaurant. I typically get the ma po tofu, cashew chicken and sautéed green beans. You can also tell them if you want a different sauce. Their lunch specials are a pretty good deal too. read more

For our Chinese takeout, we select the Main Moon. For one, it is close to our house. Secondly, you get a large serving whether it is for lunch or dinner. The taste of the food is fine and consistent based on the times we've had takeout. The location is NOT for dining in and could be presented in a better manner. Were there another option for Chinese, the Main Moon would have some competition. read more

The Main Moon is one of my favorite Chinese takeout restaurants in the area. I have eaten here several times and it has proven itself to be very consistent. It is nothing flashy inside, and don't anticipate them being able to seat large parties ;), but it is, from my experience, food you should put in your mouth. read more

Our family has been going here for years, it is pretty solid Chinese food and very rarely have they ever messed up our order as do many Chinese restaurants in the area seem to do. The General Tso's is pretty tasty as is the Orange Chicken, but I have had better. The egg-rolls, spicy chicken, and various other popular meals are all very good. I tried the Mozzarella sticks the last time we ordered just as a joke to see what Chinese mozzarella sticks would be like and let me tell you... they were AWESOME! I rarely rate establishments but have to say am shocked at some of the other comments on this site. I have been ordering from Main Moon for the better part of 5+ years and their food is always on point. I have tried almost every dish on the lunch special menu and have never been that disappointed. Perhaps my palette is more forgiving but you get what you pay for when it comes to sub $20 meals. Also, since Sakura opened up their sister Japanese restaurant next door I couldn't be happier (think cross ordering between the two on one delivery order). I WILL NEVER go back to this place. Ordered the Hibachi chicken. It came out totally COLD: not even a little bit warm and the Chicken was not even fresh! It was as if they had cooked it several days earlier and had it in the fridge and just threw it on a plate. It was so rubbery that I bet it would have bounced if I dropped it on the floor. I refused to eat any of that slop. The wait staff was no better. The woman who served us was slower than molassas and seemed to have a bug up her butt about something. She never once asked how our meal was and when I told her how terrible my food was she seemed to be annoyed at us!! As I said we will NEVER EVER go back to this place. I live right next to main moon so I go here often. I think these reviewers just came on a bad night or something. The food here is the BEST out of all the many chinese take away restaurants in my area. They have the best roast pork and mixed vegetable. Their wonton soup is so good. Best wonton soup ever. Their general tso's is really good. Their sweet and sour chicken is great too, just make sure you go there during lunch time or dinner time so the wok is hot and the food is made fresh. Oh their beef and brocoli is great too. Everything seems fresh and the lady owner there is really nice. read more

This is about the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered a delivery of a shrimp roll and some spicy beef. The shrimp roll was all cabbage, except for 2 very tiny shrimp. No flavor at all. The spicy beef was almost all sliced onions and scallions, with a few little pieces of beef. Once again, completely devoid of flavor. And the fried rice that came with it was gummy and totally bland. How does this place stay in business? Do yourself a favor and don't order from here. read more

I've lived in Clark for 2 years and Main Moon seems to have changed management/owners/cooks 3 times, but the group that is in there now is by far the best. Pricing is typical for chinese. All foods are goods, soups are a lil bland. If you really want a good, interesting dish with a hint of spice try the Singapore Chow Mei Fun.......fantastic. read more

This is my go-to place for Chinese take-out and I've I've tried a LOT of places in the area. Nowadays I cook more authentic Chinese food at home, bless you Kam Man. My personal favorite is the fried chicken wings, nobody else has chicken wings this good. The American standards of chicken or beef and broccoli, lo mein, fried rice, egg foo young, and the rest are, I think, of slightly better quality. Vegetables are never soggy mush like so many other places. The twice cooked pork is of better quality than most places but I wish they would put dried tofu in it to kick it up to an A+. The beef chow fun is another personal favorite of mine and loaded with fresh vegetables and plenty of beef. The last time I was there, they chased me down as I was leaving the parking lot because they forgot to pack my beef teriyaki. Considering some of the other places in the area, this isn't overcooked, greasy slop, it's good, fresh, Americanized-Chinese take-out. read more

I have only used their delivery service, but that is the main reason why I called them in the first place. I have ordered Crab Rangoon every time I placed an order there because they are excellent, the best I've had locally. I have also had their Steamed/Fried Dumplings and they were very good. I ordered the Boneless Ribs once and they were so tough I couldn't eat them. For my entrees, I have ordered Seafood Delight and that was very good with large sized seafood. I also ordered their Crispy Shrimp which comes with a House Sauce that is unusual but quite good. The shrimp are large and the batter isn't exactly crispy, and it's a little different than breading, but I like it very much. The dinners come with fried rice which is adequate but nothing special and an egg roll which I don't care for so I don't get them. I had a problem with ordering and the language differences twice. Once was so bad they were reading me back the wrong order so I had to call back and talk to a completely different person to get it changed. My order ended up coming right. The rest of the times I have called, there was no issue. They normally quote me a wait time of 40 minutes and show up in about 30 minutes. Their drivers are friendly. Main Moon is my new favorite delivery restaurant. read more

I am not a hard person to please when it comes to Chinese food. It's pretty simple.. make it good (not usually that healthy, and bring decent portions. This was my first time ordering from this place, but thought I'd give it a try. I ordered my 'standard' for my Chinese likings.. Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken and egg roll (usually lasts me 2 or 3 days). When I called in I specifically asked for the MB to be cooked 'not spicy' and got the combination on the sweet & sour chicken; served with pork fried rice and egg roll. They informed me that delivery would be 1 hour or more; I opted to pick it up. Well, I got home to find: A- MB was spicy; full of red pepper B- chicken was over breaded and under cooked, C- no egg roll in my order and D- food was not at all hot. I called back to advise of the discrepancies with my order and they said they'd get it out right away to me. It's now 30 minutes later and still no replacements. Then, to top it all off, while I was eating the rice and chicken I found a staple in my food.. A FRIGGIN' STAPLE!! and these are items that came in plastic containers, so it wasn't from the food containers themselves. I will NOT give this place a 2nd chance.. the food was so bad it wasn't even mediocre! read more
