100% the BEST bagel place in the area! Their breakfast sandwiches are always stacked high and their prices are reasonable. They have amazing bagels that are always fresh and never run out of bagel options. I will say that the service on a Saturday or Sunday morning can take a little while but it's always worth the wait. read more

YUCK!!!! Had to make an account just to expose this place. They serve milk that is outdated for months that isn't refrigerated, and burnt coffee and stale bagels. When I confronted them about it they were only mad at me and when I threw out milk that was a month expired, they yelled at me and told me they didn't care if I never came back and they don't want my business. I was a loyal customer who went there multiple times a week for a long time. Not happy. They don't want my business? They don't need yours either. Not only that, but the owner was outright being mean to me, not just the other employees. Also, he tried to get another local business in trouble with racism when he is being racist himself! Tasty, chewy bagels. Best in the area. Pleasant atmosphere with seasonal outdoor seating. My bagel go to place. Can't comment on the deli sandwiches, which don't appeal to me. People I know have told me they're good and they seem to do a brisk business with them. A great asset to Main Street. read more

I grew up in Flemington but this place was not around "back in the day". My wife and I wanted a bagel so I searched bagels on the trusted Yelp app and this place came up. It's located right on Main St in Flemington so you're going to have to find a street spot. We came on a Sunday around noon, so they didn't have their full bagel selection and they ran out of everything bagels by the time we left. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with lox spread and my wife had an everything with cream cheese. Food was served relatively quick and the servers were friendly. The bagel itself was pretty good but it was served with a little too much cream cheese. I had to take a decent amount off, but I guess it's better than being served with too little. They had a pretty good drink selection which is crucial for a bagel shop. For some reason, I think a Snapple goes great with a bagel and they have plenty to choose from. It's a pretty simple menu and a pretty cool spot. If I lived in the area, I could see myself coming here more often. read more

Yesterday I called John on the spot to order four dozen bagels at 7 AM! Not only did he and his wonderful staff put together three beautiful trays of bagels... They also set us up with all of the utensils, plates, and enough cream cheese for everyone! I commend this wonderful establishment for all of their hard work but more importantly for their friendliness. I will continue to go there for my morning coffee and bagels. It is not every day you come across such wonderful people. Keep up the great work. read more

Yes, the bagels are good. Yes, its very clean inside. However, the staff is beyond rude and inconsiderate. After placing our order, two friends and I went to pay for our breakfast on one card. Instead, the woman up front told us "now wasn't a good time", and to pay when she's less busy. OK, fine. 5 minutes later, she came to our table with two of our orders, which were both a pork roll, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. One was supposed to have ketchup, one wasn't. Not rocket science. My friend (the one with tomato allergies) asked the woman which one didn't have the ketchup. She gave us a dirty look, and said "I don't know, you guys need to figure that out yourselves" and throws them on the table. We look at our bagels, and one had bacon, one had pork roll. Not what we ordered, but we sucked it up anyway in effort of avoiding the wrath of the woman helping us. Another five minutes passed, and my other friend (who ordered a bagel with cream cheese) still hadn't gotten her food. I went to the counter to make sure they didn't forget about us, and the same woman shouted at me "can you just wait and sit back down?". Not the way to talk to a customer. A few minutes later, the same unpleasant woman comes up to our table, and asks "what we are eating", as if she hadn't just delivered our food five minutes ago. She leans into our plate, and asks if we ordered bacon on our bagel. We said no, but she didn't need to fix it. She told us that "wasn't our order", and was for a customer at the other table who had been waiting. (were we supposed to apologize for her mistake...?). I then asked her if my friends bagel and cream cheese was ready yet, and she laughs at us, as if getting food we ordered was a joke. She walks away. The guy working at the grill then comes and sits (yes, sits!) at our table, and asks if "everything was alright" because we seemed to be upsetting the woman. We explained the situation, and he asks again if we are "sure everything was alright". Was I missing something?? I'm wasn't trying to have a therapy session here, I just wanted my friends bagel! Finally, it comes out a minute later, and we go the register to pay right after she finishes. My friend and I both put our cards down at the same time, attempting to pay for each other, and the woman shouted at us again, telling us to "make a decision or move out of the way". (why is paying for food so difficult here...?). We settled the bill and left, never to return again. While there likely aren't other bagels nearly as good in the area, I will settle for another establishment that doesn't hire the worlds unhappiest people. read more

This is one of the better bagel shops in the Flemington area. In fact, if I were evaluating on food quality alone, I'd be giving 4 stars. Eating or ordering in store, however, leaves much to be desired. Staff is friendly, but painfully slow and often confused and overwhelmed. The last time I ordered 2 bacon egg & cheese on bagels and waited for 27 minutes (i timed it). The store wasn't particularly busy nor was it a peak time, so that was a bit disheartening. After about 20 mins I let the cashier know that I would be sitting outside waiting with my breakfast companion and please don't forget us. About 5 minutes later, my friend went back inside to use the bathroom only to find the same cashier holding our bagels in the middle of the dining room with a confused look on her face. I'd hate to think how long a bagel sandwich would take if ordered during a busy time! Sad, because I so want to like this place. Fortunately they sell their bagels in Shoprite, so I can buy there and not have to endure the frustrating in-store experience and wait times. read more

I moved to the Canadian border in Vermont and often times, late at night, I wake up in a cold sweat remembering these bagels. While the snow drifts dance and the front yard ices over, I rekindle my wood burning stove and dream of mornings I spent in my youth with an everything bagel from here. While I do not know how it is now, I can tell you I have nightmares in which I never get another main street bagel that make me awaken screaming "LOCKS AND CAPERS PLEASE". I love their bagels. I go there for bagel sandwiches frequently. Reasonably priced food. The place is on the small side so there isn't much place to stand and wait for your food.
