Fast service and very fresh bagel. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a cheddar jalapeño bagel and you can really taste the fresh cheddar and real jalapeño. Came around 8:30-8:45 on a weekday morning and although there were many people coming in and out there was never a line and everyone was served promptly. Parking was plentiful and I found a spot right outside the door which was great on a cold morning. Ambiance inside was classic deli style with a lot of seating options available. Awesome, quick service and the Asiago Bagel was scrumptious! The lady who fixed my order was all business but not rude and very efficient. The place has a few tables, a great selection of deli food other than bagels, and it has self serve coffee. It gets busy in there so it tends to be a little stuffy but you're only in there for a quick second. The prices are higher than my area but the flavors is there so it's worth it. read more

I don't get to Clinton very often, but when I do I stop at Clinton Bagel for lunch. In my most recent visit I ordered a plain bagel with lox, sliced tomato, and VERY LIGHT cream cheese (I'm picky). This is what I always order at bagel shops. At Clinton Bagel I was served a very fresh and delightfully soft bagel with a very nice amount of lox with two tomato slices (not just one) and the right amount of cream cheese. Many times people just slap together a sandwich as quickly as possible, but this one was made perfectly - exactly as I'd asked. Thank you Clinton Bagel for an excellent sandwich! We really like the bagels here. They are fresh and delicious and this store is always open in the early mornings. After church we always get a fresh bagel with lox and onions and tomatoes and it make our day. We highly recommend the poppy seed bagel and especially when they are toasted. A perfect little family run bagel shop. Prices are very budget friendly. The staff was extremely charming and welcoming. The bagels were very fresh and they were generous with the cream cheese. Honestly, as you know if you've read any of my reviews, customer service is so important! I'm giving you my business and I don't have to. The least you can do is say hello. So I will start here, you walk in and every single time, there's not one person manning the front. You can't even get anyone's attention. Doesn't matter how many people are in the store waiting. Finally when they see you, it's like you're bothering them. This last time I had it... the woman turns around with a nasty, maskless look on her face and said can I help you (sarcastically) like I was a bother to her. I then said, "I placed an order online for pickup". There's always something with this place. This time, they didn't care that I said no egg on my bagel, it came with egg. Now I know to check every time because they don't know how to read an order. Actually, they don't care, simple like that. The reason I gave two stars and not one... well they make a better bagel (even though it's a little too soft) and give you more meat and cream cheese than the other bagel place in town. Don't get me started on that one. If I haven't written a review already, I will be. What's up with NO ONE caring about their customers? Zero customer service, I mean do not expect anything. So to continue, they could not fill the online order, they were out of a specific bagel. So the guy was letting me leave the store and I said wait, "there's only one bagel, there's supposed to be two". Then this depressed face, short blonde headed woman looks at me like I'm inconveniencing her and says nastily, "we were out of it". Not, I'm sorry, we ran out or is there something else we could get for you? No, they don't care, this is what she said, "we didn't charge you for it, we refunded the card". I'm like, ok then, that's fine, but for heaven's sake, please try to be nicer to your customers. I'm literally getting so fed up with this! They do not care about anyone, bottom line. Also, there's usually someone texting right there on their phones while there's a line. This time it was one of the nasty blondes. I'm not that old, but these guys are a bunch of kids who have nothing else better to do with their lives, but make other people's miserable. In addition to this, the place is super small and once again, check your order before you leave! I'm also noticing that not many good reviews have come in lately. Makes sense! Definitely the best bagels! A classic in this area. Made fresh everyday but also had an extensive menu of sandwiches, wraps, etc. Any time of bagel you can think of, they probably have. Their speciality spreads are also homemade. Better to get there earlier than later as bagels will sell out on busier days. With COVID, they have plexiglas and separate entry and exit. However, there have been several times that the masks are not over the employees noses and customers being six feet apart is not well monitored since curbside pickup was retracted. read more

Love the power bagels and the flagels. Sandwiches are good. I'm not a fan going during summer simply because they mean well in hiring local kids but they are always all over the place or disorganized. I wish they offered a coffee bar like latte or espresso Iced bar in summer. It's serve yourself approach. Only really hot and the non fresh brew for Iced. This used to be one of my favorite local bagel places. No longer. The customer service is abominable. My young son and I went on a recent Saturday. We arrived 15 minutes before closing and we were given the death stare. The young, blond woman behind the counter was such a rude sourpuss. She refused to make us a buttered bagel. She just threw our two overpriced bagels in a bag and sent us on our way. The bagels were sub-par and the service was less than zero. Such a shame. The quality has really tanked since the ownership changed. I realize there are staffing shortages and other challenges for small businesses, but that is no excuse to treat customers like garbage. read more

I have been here many times but this time was 25-30 minutes before closing. I asked for a bagel, toasted with cream cheese. I also want a sandwich with bread instead of bagel and was informed that side is closed because they are cleaning the slicer. I thought closed is when you were so doing business not when you left the building. Oh, and as a side note: bagel was not toasted. I used to swear by how great their bagels were but after today I will never go back. I ordered a bagel sandwich and in my bagel baked in was blond hair. I'm absolutely disgusted. When I called regarding it the lady Carla started saying it wasn't hair it was something they cook the bagels with. Regardless it shouldn't be baked in the bagels. She wasn't even sympathetic about the situation. After this experience and other errors in the past I will not be returning. They are going to get someone sick with poor quality control. read more

We stopped her on the way to NYC. Easy to get to and not far off the highway. It was a Sunday morning and the place was packed which was a good sign. As a first timer the ordering process seemed very unorganized and the employees were too busy to answer any newb questions. Not a lot of room inside but there are plenty of clean picnic tables outside. Chicken salad is excellent the philly cheese steak is good but pretty far from a philly cheese steak. The aroma actually starts in the parking lot - you don't even have to open the door. And the bagels are worthy of five stars. We were the guests of honor at a brunch friends were hosting for family today in celebration of our visit (when you are considered family you know you have great friends) and when we asked what we could contribute we were directed to this bagel shop. Not only were the poppy seed, sesame seed, plain and raisin bagels delicious and chewy perfect, they were value priced. Just a little over $10 for a dozen yummy bagels, still slightly warm when we picked them up. What? Are you kiddin' me here? HOW do they do that? Create such great bagels for so little money? I do not know. Something to ponder while we chew our bagels. Our friends and their family call these the "blue building bagels" and when you see photos Ben C and others have posted you'll see why. Not much going on for ambiance, not much available in the way of seating inside, but this is definitely THE place in this part of NJ to pick up bagels to go. Which was evident by the full parking lot on a Sunday morning and the steady stream of customers with empty hands walking in and carrying bags of bagels walking out. We recommend you join that stream of customers if you're in the Clinton area. NOTE: They open at 7a but close early in the afternoon too...just after lunch, I'm told, or earlier if the bagels run out. I didn't' confirm that for myself, but the message was if you want to be guaranteed bagels, go earlier rather than later in the morning. read more

This is the best bagel place I have ever been to, even one's in New York can't compare. I usually get sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it is delicious!! There can be a long line but it moves fairly quickly considering how many orders they have to make. My family once asked the owner how many bagels they sell every day and she responded with about 5000, which is pretty impressive considering they are only open for a couple hours each day. Around the holidays, they also make colored bagels to add some festivity such as for Christmas and the 4th of July!! read more

Been going here for 5 years and I looove the bagels. They're fresh and not overdone. The dough is spectacular. I'm giving them 3 stars because I always have an issue with ordering a harvest bagel. If I'm there by 6am they don't have them done and when I go by 9am they're sold out. So not very convenient for commuters or those going to work. This has happened many times. Also they let sick people work and I've seen people cough all over the bagels. They also don't use gloves to prepare food and handle money at the same time. Hygiene and inventory needs to be improved because these are by far the best bagels! The best bagels that ever existed!!! I've been going to this establishment for over 20 years. Honestly you can't go wrong with any order. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Bacon egg and cheese or if you want to be a local then pork roll egg and cheese. Also the classic bagel and cream cheese is awesome. The walnut raisin cream cheese is sneakily awesome. I don't particularly love either of those items but mixed together are tasty. If you are anywhere near the area it's a must stop.
