Being new to this area comes with the homework of researching which businesses to trust and eventually work with. After reading all of the reviews I decided to take the plunge and have the folks at Toyotech perform a much needed 90,000 mile service on my 2001 Highlander. The car was passed to me by my sister (long time Toyota employee) and it has only been serviced inside of Toyota employee maintenance centers and trusted off-campus sites (and a jiffy lube or two by yours truly. Mistake, I know) - naturally I was scared to take it elsewhere. I made an impromptu visit and spoke to Rick. I learned they only work by appointment so I made one for a few days later. I didn't see it as an inconvenience because many repair centers have become "turn-and-burn" operations. Rick seemed to take a genuine interest in the work that needed to be performed and made no attempts to sound off-putting. Fast forward a few days, I dropped my car off and was given a complimentary loan car for the day. Rick followed up with me as promised and I went to pick up my car a few hours later and was taken care of by a polite, younger gentleman. As I left the lot, I noticed something off with my temperature gauge. I immediately brought it back and it was handled straight away. The guy helping me told me that they'd stick around a little longer past closing to ensure they'd be there if anything else happened. All went well and I took it home. The next morning, I received a courtesy phone call from Rick, as he wanted to check up on things. The call wasn't needed but it was certainly appreciated. My car now runs like a champ! In closing, I will be returning here for ALL of my service needs moving forward. The great experience I had provided peace of mind. I highly recommend this shop to all Toyota owners out there! After 26 yrs of going to which was at one time called toyotech which is now mainstreet garage has left me very unsatisfied and very upset. At the end of May I took my car in for a oil change and to have the transmission serviced as it had just hit the 60 thousand area. Was told it didn't need that service. But there was two leaks that should be fixed. Wasn't informed as to what the leaks were. Just that David will call me with an estimate. David told me the leaks do not prevent me from driving. Just that it's spendy. So I didn't worry. 2 months later I had to call David since I never heard from him. He then proceeds to tell me the leaks is my left and right front axel. Well, that sure sounds like more of a problem then not. After all, I've been doing a lot of driving with leaks in the axel. David says, I will call you back with an estimate. This is day 3. No call back! So I take it to a local mechanic that is highly recommended with no complaints. To find out both axel need replaced. My belt is completely ruined and I need a new motor mount. Plus I have bad dust build up on rear brakes and they have to remove the dust plus adjust them. On top of all that. I have a leak in my steering wheel. (Rack and pinion) for a responsible mechanic and their company they sure have done no good service for me! If this would have been actually looked at, it would have been addressed! They have lost my business of 26 yrs. The father was a great man. The son, he needs to step away as he truly doesn't care about the customers nor their safety on the road. Only reason they get 1 star is due to the facked I can't submit this without! read more

My experience is as follows: After getting a quote from Chino Hills Ford to repair the power steering on my 2006 Ford Focus for about $590.00, I decided to try to beat that price. So my daughter researched Yelp and found Main Street Garage with all it's great reviews. Well after replacing the power steering and sending the car home, it was still leaking. We called and the owner, who said to bring it back. We did! He then said the continued leak was coming from a pinhole in the line. So we left the car another week. John was very gracious to provide a loaner car and communicated with us very well. (We had to get my daughter to Travis AFB) Well after that week and 3 days I returned for the Focus. After I drove the car a while I kept hearing a farting sound in the steering. So I returned. John said it was only air, because all the components except the reservoir had been replaced, but to return if it didn't go away. Well. It didn't go away and began to leak. At that point I had 14 days invested in this job. That was enough! I took the Focus back to the Ford Dealership. The problem was the fittings on the reservoir, which had begun to leak. They fixed in 2 hours. If you ever been so frustrated you had to just step back, well that was me. Well after giving Main Street $750.00 and then the Dealership a final $300, (150 part, 150 labor) I learned my lesson. As far as Customer service, Main Street was great. Everything Sounded really good, with all the concerned phone calls. But never did the price drop or John say, "Hey look, we know this job was a huge inconvenience, your next oil change is on the house", or something. Technically, they struggled on the power steering issues and honestly got stumped on this one. My Dad, 65 was pretty upset. He is a retired military airplane mechanic, as I am currently active duty as C17 Aircrew. Not bragging on our duty positions, but just saying, we're no slouch to technical orders. The technician really needs to go back to the books on Ford power steering repairs. No good! Farting sounds coming from the unit, (air pockets) Come on! Like my daughter said, "REALLY!" But what can you do? I guess, just write a review and try to be as honest as you can. Everything comes full circle. read more

It was my first time at the shop. Called to see if they had any appointments for a break check and oil change and they were the closest to my office. David answered , very friendly , said come on in- the place is clean and looks like a living room or coffee shop . David was there to greet me, said he'd do the oil change and let me know before they did any work on my breaks. I brought my car in for a repair of my torn seat upholstery in addition to a funny noise from my front left tire area as I made a right turn. John Turant said he would be able to fix the seat and look into the problem regarding the noise. It was great that he was fix the wheel well which was causing the noise and repair the upholstery all by the next day. The fees for the service were entirely reasonable. In addition, they had given me a loaner car to use during the repair at no additional cost. The service area is also incredibly clean. read more

Scheduled two appointments with them on two separate days to install an interlock device only for them to tell me on day one they couldn't install the system due to incorrect wiring and on day two they had a malfunctioned system. Made an appointment with John the owner to see why my check engine light was on because I've heard great things about this place and they do a free diagnostic check. He was very sweet and explained what came with the free check. When I arrived at my appointed time I was greeted by name as I entered which I thought was very professional by the guy at the front desk David. He was very nice and helpful. The front lobby/waiting area is fabulous. Comfy leather seats, refreshments and lots of space for my 18 month old to explore. They took my car right away and thank goodness the check engine light was due to a loose fuel cap hahaha. Simple fix and they reset the light and I was on my way in less than a half hour. No charge.
