Stopped in here on a Friday night. This location was an Asian / Sushi place in a previous incarnation that could not make it even though it was an alright spot. Place was busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Sports bar/pub atmosphere inside. A nice looking spot, quite lively. The menu here had quite a few interesting selections to choose from. We ordered a salad with pears and balsamic, pretzels, and a couple of their burgers of which they had quite a selection to choose from. They also have a fairly large craft beer list. Service was friendly and fast, always a plus. All of the food items we ordered were good. The pretzels came with a cheese sauce and were really good. Three large pretzels and the sauce was made in-house. Light and subtle tasting. On the burgers, they give you an option on your side. I got the tater tots which were quite tasty and the portion size was so large, I could not come close to finishing. Burger was cooked perfectly and came on my chosen pretzel roll which was top notch and held up to the burger. I liked this spot and would definitely come back to check out. Cheers to all read more

First time in since Covid. We ate inside and enjoyed the PGA and Blackhawks on the tv. Tons of people enjoying dinner and drinks. Well spaced for safety, staff is masked up but not many patrons. My husband and I went here for the first time last night and I think we'll be back! We had to wait awhile but it was NCAA Final Four so people weren't really getting up. The food comes out quickly so I think their turnover is probably a little quicker usually. While we waited we checked out their drafts.. Pretty nice list I had a Grapefruit Shandy (really refreshing and flavorful!) and my hubs had a Pineapple Sculpin- don't remember the brewer but he liked it. I like that they use a lot of local Brewers. Food: Fried pickles- yum! Nice crunchy cornmeal crust and a spicy dipping sauce. Diablo burger and canjun fries- I don't think my husband could feel his mouth after that but he knew what he was getting into said it was good though! runny fried egg, roasted jalapeños, pepper jack, siracha, bacon, pretzel bun. Maui Waui burger- pineapple, bacon, provolone, roasted jalapeños. It was good, I took most of the jalapeños off though so it didn't dominate the other flavors. I like that you can sub grilled chicken for any of the burgers- will try that! Ranch- we get a side of ranch for our fries wherever we go.. This one could use more flavor and be thinned out.. This was a fun place to come for a working lunch. I didn't try any of the many craft beers which seem to be popular, so will base this on a burger meal. The burgers are fantastic! Well prepared, well crafted, and flavorful. I tried a Gringo, which is a 1/2 pound burger with Pepper jack cheese, Cheddar cheese, Roasted Corn, Fried Tortilla Strips, Guacamole. I ordered the burger medium-rare, and on a pretzel bun. Outstanding burger, and highly recommended! The fries, however, needed some extra prep time. They were a bit under-done, but with a ton of potential! Great flavor, just a few nearly raw pieces. The service was great. Our server was prompt and polite, making sure we had everything we needed. We only ordered water to drink, but she was still attentive, which can often not be the case at a place specializing in alcoholic drinks. Stop in when you're in downtown Glen Ellyn. I've been here twice with coworkers since it's the perfect distance from work when we need a quick drink after spending the whole day with kids. Although finding a parking spot around this area can sometimes be tricky, we've were pretty lucky. The first time I visited I only had a glass or two of wine and some tater tots but we had a very nice and attentive server. The second time I had a chance to try a few appetizers and some drinks. I really like the casual ambiance and laid back feel of this place. I had a few beers and tried their jalapeño poppers, which I was surprised to find were wrapped in bacon (yum!). I also tried their Buffalo chicken flatbread, which was a miss for me. The celery and carrot pieces kind of threw me off. Lauren L. ordered a pear salad, as she was right in the middle of her diet. Easily the best burger restaurant in the area! My fiancé and I always intend to try somewhere new, but we come back here time after time because it's so good and service is so great. Burgers are great of course, but they also have fantastic salads. If you're a sweet potato fry fan as well, then this is a must-visit! read more

I like the menu format in that you can choose your protein and bun and your choices are adapted to any burger style. Especially pleased that a non-meat choice is amongst the options. The fries are hand cut. That's a big deal to me. It was a nice-enough pub experience. The staff was friendly. It's a spacious place. And they have Allagash White. One of my friends recommended this place to us when we couldn't find somewhere to eat so we decided to check it out. It was a little busy and we sat at a high top table near the bar. We ordered 3 different starters/appetizers and each got a burger with fries. Instantly while ordering, we felt like our waitress was annoyed. She did check on us frequently and filled our drinks which we liked however things took a turn when she came over to ask us if we needed any boxes to take our food home. Two of my friends had CLEARLY only eaten 1/4 of their burger and still had their plate full of fries. She still had this annoyed demeanor when she would come by and it honestly killed our whole vibe. It very much felt like we were being rushed out of the place although there were tables available if anyone came in. We wanted to order some drinks but decided to go to another bar where they had much more friendly service. The food was great, I got the California burger with sweet potato fries and the jalapeño poppers were delicious. So excited about Main Street Pub! Glen Ellyn needed another bar and this place was great. Had my husband's birthday there with friends and family and we all had a really nice time. I worked with the manager on reservations because we had 10+ people and he was so easy to work with. Love the atmosphere and the open concept, did a great job transforming the space from what it looked like before. From the hostess, to the bartenders and to our waitress, everyone was so nice and fun. Service was really good. Food was delicious as well, loved the margarita flat bread!! Everyone in our large group enjoyed the food and burgers. Seriously no complaints. So needless to say we will be coming back for all the above and also because my husband loves that they have a golden tee machine in back. read more

We just moved to the area about 4 weeks ago and seriously have gone 3 times now. They have created burger monsters out my husband and me. Every time we go we try a new burger (that's 6 burgers!) and every single one has been delicious. They are very flexible with the menu as far as substitutions and subtractions. Although the burgers are paired awesomely. Friendly wait staff. Great beer list. They are currently playing all games for March Madness, and have plenty of tvs for all sporting seasons. While the ambiance is generally fun, the food and service are a 1 out of 10... I ordered a burger special because the overpriced burgers are 20% off per the menu weekdays 11-4. When our food finally arrived, mine was a dry patty with no toppings. There are about 10 different burger styles and the reason you'd pick a $13 burger would be for all of the toppings. When I finally flagged down my waitress and she replaced my dry plain burger with the one I ordered, it was about half an hour after my table mates had finished their meals. Oh and by the way, apparently 3:00 on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is considered a holiday, so our $52 worth of burgers were not even 20% off... This is the second best restaurant in the downtown Glen Ellyn area, only behind Fire and Wine. It is the best bar in Glen Ellyn. The burgers here are very good and juicy. The Fries and thick cut and seasoned to perfection. The Tats are good, but personally I like the fries better. My recommendation is the Western Burger which has Bacon, BBQ Sauce, and Pickles on it. The Main Street Pub also has a large varieties of beverages from Soda to Draft Beer. They also have a friendly staff. I am a big fan of Main Street Pub. read more

This was the first time we visited Main Street Pub. We loved it! The decor is great and the space is just big enough but cozy. We had the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer and they were super yummy. We both choose burgers for our main entree. I had the California Burger with bacon, provolone and avocado ( with lettuce and tomato too), my husband had the the Bullet Burger. The burgers were excellent and huge. What really made my meal was the hand cut fries. I WILL GO BACK just for the fries!!! The service was great. We were seated right away and the place was clean. This was our first time ordering from Main St Pub, and man are we glad we did! My wife had the Western burger and I the Diablo burger. The pattys were cooked to a perfect medium and just bursting with flavor. They're definitely not skimpy with their toppings, and their spicy fries were totally unique. I can't speak to the service or the atmosphere of the restaurant as we ordered take out, but we're looking forward to visiting again. read more

The area isn't very large and it does get crowded on a Saturday night like most places. I had called ahead to reserve a table and they had to ask the owner to make sure it was ok. However, when I showed up they didn't know anything about it but were able to accommodate us quickly so at least that went well. read more

I've been to Main Street Pub several times, and I've always left satisfied with my overall experience. Their burgers are some of my favorite in the suburbs, and the beer list always has a lot to choose from. Their appetizers are mostly average, with the exception of the bacon wrapped dates - they're excellent. Their fried pickle burger is my favorite, but I've tried other burgers and have yet to be disappointed in any of them. They've always come out within a reasonable amount of time, and they've always been cooked the way I've asked. The staff is attentive and friendly, even on busier nights. My only disappointment with this restaurant is the ambience - it really doesn't have any. The decor is pretty stark and boring, and it doesn't really leave you wanting to stick around for very long. Definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for a good burger and beer, though. read more

I really wish I was able to do two separate reviews here, one for food and the other for service. The food and beer selection is great! Love their quinoa and black bean burger substitute (highly recommended) and they always seem to have a beer on tap that my boyfriend loves! However, the service is absolutely awful! Last night was our second time in - we put our name in for a table +45 min. later we were seated and it took almost 20 min. for our server to recognize that we were sitting there. Love Jackson Avenue Pub in naperville which is why we were excited to go to the new Glen Ellyn location. People were great, food never disappoints. BUT. I go to an adult pub because I want to enjoy a beer and burger without feeling like I'm at Red Robin. There were 4 children in the BAR with 3 adults who had absolutely no control over them. They were literally running wild. They bumped into a man behind me who spilled his beer very close to me. Come on, management. If the parents aren't going to do anything why do the other adults have to put up with that! Apparently they were your friends since you were ok with letting them annoy those attempting to enjoy a night out. My kids are adults now but I never let them run wild in a restaurant disturbing others. And certainly not in an adult bar! read more

We were there after the Taste of Glen Ellyn on a Saturday. The music was great, fun and loud. The place was packed. They had a few outdoor tables, which was nice. Lots of tables inside, but also a nice little corner where you could cozy up to someone on a couch. We had hummus which was very good and a huge portion. The service is a little lacking and the bathroom was completely empty of toilet paper. Not cool on a Saturday night. Someone really needs to check on that more often!! This is a welcome addition to the casual dining scene in downtown Glen Ellyn. We love the open and airy layout. The tables are nicely spaced so that it does not feel crowded. It is family friendly which is nice as well. The food, while limited, is the best of the downtown Glen Ellyn pub scene. Great appetizers. We particularly like the bacon wrapped dates, very large portion! The burgers and sides are a clear standout in Glen Ellyn. While others have mentioned nice craft beer, bourbon, Scotch selections Main Street has the only "drinkable" wine list of any Glen Ellyn pub restaurant. We haven't tried the salads yet but what we have seen they look good. read more
