    Brazilian beef stroganoff
    Eileen T.

We were greeted warmly and seated promptly, the hostess allowing us to choose whether or not we wanted a high top table. We ate on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but not full. We parked in the lot across the street although there is 2 hour street parking. Our server was friendly but it was a little disappointing that one of the drinks we wanted couldn't be ordered because it wasn't available (not sure why because it was just an old fashioned and we could clearly see the whiskey displayed behind the bar) so we ordered a different drink and the exotic mushroom pasta entree I ordered had a choice of being served with gnocchi or pappardelle pasta (which I preferred but again, it wasn't available so I went with the gnocchi). One of my friends got the beef sliders with mashed potatoes ($3 upcharge!!!) (they wanted the beef stroganoff but the chef wasn't able to make it without mushrooms) and my other friend the Brazilian beef stroganoff. The food was delicious. The ambiance was typical of a tavern with the TVs broadcasting the Olympics and the tall ceilings caused it to be a little noisy but not unbearable. We were too full for dessert but the carrot cake had been recommended so we ordered a piece to go (the biggest slice of cake I've ever seen!) along with a slice of their lemoncello cake. Good experience, I would've given them 5 stars had they not been out of so many things and unable to accommodate my friend's wish for no mushrooms

There aren't many bars in Orange but this one was so inviting. For New Years the had a prix fixe menu with 6 courses for $65! They also had music and celebrations for New Years which included a complementary champagne toast and party hats and horns. The bartenders were excellent at their craft and constantly checked in. The drinks were delicious!

Stopped here while passing through town. We sat at the bar. You have to get the Brussels and cauliflower appetizer. Oh so yummy. We got the burger and fries to split. Burger was great. Fried were fries. Shout out to our bartender, Dawn. Ask for her. She's great.

I have been meaning to try this place for some time. I will definitely be back. You will miss the place if your not looking for it as you pass through Orange. They have outdoor seating, but we chose to sit inside on this delightful Saturday afternoon. The staff are absolutely super. The menu offered a good selection of choices. We both had a mixed drink which was good. The steak and cheese is excellent. The bun they use is really good. My wife got the flatbread pizza. I have no complaints. Nicely done. We will surely return.

Traveling with a group of four and we happened into this lovely establishment while on vacation in the area. The building is 250 years old, and it is absolutely gorgeous from the beautiful metal ceiling tiles to the lovely light fixtures and everywhere else. It is tastefully decorated. There is a full-bar and a fabulous list of craft cocktails to choose from. Our server, Grace, was absolutely delightful. She was fun and friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu, and quick and efficient. I started with the hibiscus margarita, which had black salt on the rim and was delicious. We ordered the ground beef nachos which were tasty and topped with fresh pico. Not spicy, just full of flavor. In our group, we had the meatloaf which comes wrapped in bacon and was reported to be excellent. The half chicken was very good, and a huge portion--enough for another meal. The chicken wings with Korean BBQ were tasty and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the pork tenderloin with collards and asparagus. The meat was excellent and cooked to the temperature I ordered. We really enjoyed our time and our food... highly recommended!

Schnitzel with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts-delicious.

We had a great time at MST. We started off with the mussels special, a Sauvignon blanc, and a spicy margarita. Everything was perfect. The mussels weren't too spicy (thankfully because I'm a light spice girl). I had the schnitzel special and it was so delicious. I didn't care for the pasta and they swapped it out for mashed potatoes. The pork was so tender and cooked perfectly. My husband had the catfish dinner and he said it was so good. We sat at the bar and Billy, the bartender was wonderful. He was personable and made drink just for my husband (I forgot what it was, but he loved it.) The restaurant was clean and matched the vibe. I took home a piece of key lime pie to eat later. I snuck a bite and it didn't disappoint. Looking forward to returning soon. Oh and they have a rewards program-don't forget to sign up!

Sat at the bar, great service from Ashley, every course tasted excellent from the appetizers to the dessert. Never waited in a refill, exceeded expectations.

    Lobster bisque

Nice ambiance and well kept. Service was mediocre. She was polite and checked on us but maybe was having an off day. Forgot our soup, brought two salts instead of salt and pepper. Caesar salad was very fresh and I enjoyed it. Sliders good. Panini good. My mom said not to get the steak as it was inedible when she had it previously, couldn't even cut it it was so tough. Lobster bisque was the soup of the day. It was one of the worst lobster bisques I've ever had. Tasted like cheese soup with zero lobster in it. Came topped with croutons and two crostinis that were too hard to eat. Definitely do not recommend it. Overall an average restaurant. Nothing to write home about. Probably would not return.

This is the first time I have been here. First impressions are the outside is colonial building and the door is decorated nice. The inside is decorated very nice. The artwork is of foxes in outfits. The chandeliers are very ornate. The staff is friendly. They seated us quickly and took our order quickly. I ordered a cheesesteak with fries. My daughter and wife ordered flatbread pizzas. My son ordered pasta. The food was tasty and filling.

Pork loin chop with honey grits and greens... Awesome

Awesome! Food at main Street tavern tonight. Excellent service! Jamie rocks, Great! Bartender and server made excellent recommendations on the menu and took care of us!

    Pan-Roasted Pear Salad

Loved the food and the decor! I had the pan-roasted pear salad, which had a great blend of flavors. My husband got one of the specials (fish and chips) that had generous portions of fish that were well seasoned and not that greasy. The staff was friendly and quick. Great place for dressed-up pub food!

We were seated at 7pm and received appetizers at 8:30pm. He had the steak tar tare and I had the mushroom toast. They were both just okay. Bread, amuse bouche, cocktails all took forever. Maybe 30-45 minutes. There was an acknowledgment of the delay of appetizers with no explanation, however. We received entrees close to 9pm. All were lukewarm at best. Evidently the center my friend's filet was still cold (the order was for medium rare). My husband and I had the lamb and the chicken. Both just okay. He also had an old fashioned that was all ice and not really what you'd expect for a restaurant of that quality. We enjoyed our gin cocktails and wine, but skipped dessert altogether. Honestly, I cannot wrap my head around this experience for a ~$500 meal. If you're looking for somewhere special and a fine dining experience, we'd recommend you look elsewhere in central Virginia.

The restaurant wasn't that busy because our reservations were early, so it was quiet and the service was very fast. We would definitely be back! The inn was gorgeous!

Our waitress brought over menus and asked for drink orders shortly thereafter, and also filled us in on their monthly specials. After taking a look at the menu, their wraps caught my eye. I ended up going for the Southwest chicken wrap, which came with grilled chicken tossed in buffalo ranch sauce, lettuce, and tomato. It was absolutely delicious. The wraps come with a side, so I went with the homemade coleslaw. My friend got the buffalo chicken wrap (made with chicken tenders) and that was also very good. Overall, great food and service. The only thing I didn't like was that there a ton of flies outside. I wish they had one of those UV light bug traps so clients could eat in peace.
