This is a great little French bakery off the beaten path in Delray Beach. It's a bit of a whole in the wall place, with barely enough space to walk in and turn around, devoting the major of the place to baking the delicious goods in house. They make fantastic croissants, and a really delicious ham and cheese sandwich they keep in the fridge. The staff is friendly and helpful, and service tends to be pretty quick. Parking is a bit tricky since it's off a main road, but it's absolutely worth it for a visit! read more

Hands down the best French bakery in the area. I've tried several now, and the quality here is unmatched. You can see the bakers and staff working on pastries/bread/etc as soon as you walk in. They have a wide range of French favorites. We were watching them make some chocolates while in line, and ended up grabbing a box - they were delicious! ($11 per box). They also gave us a Choquette to try and they were amazing!! We bought 3 to go. Other than that, we ordered 2 sandwiches (absolutely perfectly toasted and buttery bread), and a chocolate almond croissant - I highly recommend. Important note is that there's only 3 tables outside and 1 small table inside. It's a small place, with only street parking on busy Federal hwy, but don't let it deter you! Living in Washington, D.C. and often visiting New York City, I love a small, independent bakery. With that in mind, Yelp recommended this spot the most while visiting Delray Beach for two weeks for work. The bakery is next to two others north of Delray Beach's main drag. Well-deserved 5/5 stars. Maison Bouchard is a local bakery offering baked works of art. We tried the pistachio eclair, the coffee eclair and two croissants, one plain and one with almond. We also had the ham, cheese, and bacon quiche. While we ate these, life was good. Maison Bouchard is small and unassuming. It has a single high top and a few tables outside. I would say it's more of a takeout type of place. Our server was very friendly and the baker (owner?) after we chatted went to work rolling dough. Yet another Delray Beach old-school gem. Okay I'm not gonna lie- my gluttonous side took over and I straight up devoured our box of pastries before I could even take a photo! I will be back though and promise to photograph the most delicious, mouth watering pastries I have had in a very long time. I literally felt like I was transported to Europe! Not only was this quaint shop adorable and pushing out seriously good food but the staff wasn't pretentious nor the patrons like the bakery across the street... My boyfriend and I ordered a plain croissant, the apple tart and the apricot/almond tart, a latte and iced coffee. I feel terrible because I think he got to have about 3 bites of the tarts and I just couldn't stop digging into the box! Hands down the apple tart is everything! It had just the right amount of sweet without being too sweet, the apples were tender and evenly cut, the crust...oh that crust! The apricot tart was equally delicious, a little sweeter than the apple one with the apricot filling and the almond was subtle but hitting all the right notes. The croissant- super fresh and crusty on the outside while tender and buttery inside- perfect pairing with your cafe. When I return I will certainly try their eclairs and quiche but there is no way I'm leaving without another piece of that apple tart! I was looking for something impressive to take to tea at a friend's house so I stopped in to Maison Bouchard. Everything there is so gorgeous and the staff are super proud of all of it and very helpful with the story of the shop, it's pastry chef, and each item! I got the chocolate croissant, the berry brioche, and some jam thumbprint cookies. All were shareable and perfect with tea! I cannot wait to go back and try the chilled desserts...that passionfruit one looks ! It's a take away shop for the most part, though there is at least one table outdoors if you want to go and sit to immediately eat something before you head home. The quiche was okay but bland. Another French bakery in the area has better. I also ordered a chocolate croissant, but when I got on my roadtrip, I found the croissant was not in the bag. I was dying to have it with my coffee! Since I was long gone, I called to ask them to simply refund the money to my credit card. The woman said she had to use Zelle. I got a text saying it was transferred, but it was never actually received on my end. The next week, it happened again with a FaceBook Marketplace sale, so I called my bank. I was told that there was some hold up with the way my Zelle was working. When the bank fixed it, they told me the bakery would have to start a new Zelle transfer because the first one would not go through due to time constraints Zelle has before it refuses the transaction. (The FBook Zelle finally did go through.) I let the bakery know to restart the refund. The woman at the bakery refused and kept insisting that the money went through the week before - all while refusing to check her bank statement. My bank statement proves it did not go through. It is only $5 people! Now it became a MATTER OF PRINCIPLE! I tried several times to get her to check her statement and refund me, but she ghosted me. Seriously? You can't spare the $5 even in the name of good customer relations? You didn't complete my order for a long trip, and then you keep the money anyways? This is your version of customer service??? Wow. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth. read more

We normally go to the French Bakery across the street but they just closed at 3pm and luckily, we saw Maison Bouchard and OMG! The pastries are way better than the French Bakery (which of course are pretty good as well) but this place is on another level of yumminess!!! The apple tart has the right balance of sweetness. Not too sweet but PERFECT!!! We also ordered the berry brioche which was amazingly delish. The ham and cheese sandwich - aaah brought me back to the small village in France that I visited. We forgot to take photos of the pastries, we got so excited and couldn't stop moaning with every bite we took. To the one who gave 3 stars and who'd never go back, don't believe that person, maybe he didn't brush his teeth so he thought the butter was stale. lol... What a find! Petite pastry shop with beautiful creations that look like jewels. Did you know the French bakery on US one in Delray closes at 3 PM. Exactly. Well, as I turned out of the parking lot north on Federal Highway , a neon sign, featuring a small baguette, caught my eye. I kept driving went and picked up some fish at Cpt Clay's and turned back after reading nothing but five star reviews on Yelp about Maison Bouchard. I picked up some vanilla and some Grand Marnier eclairs for dessert. A baguette and two almond croissants for breakfast. The eclairs were incredible. The Grand Marnier version was so delicious so lightly flavored and they were the perfect complement to my dinner. The baguette was the perfect sandwich baguette, but I cut it up and dipped it in olive oil, and it was soft and chewy and very very tasty. This morning I tried the almond croissant. It has delicious almond paste that you can tell oozed to little on the sides as it got extra crispy simply delicious. The small bakery can go unnoticed on US1 North Atlantic. But don't drive by when you see the French bakery look across the street and step in to Maison Bouchard. I won't drive by without a stop again. It's on the East side of US1. read more

I haven't been disappointed with anything I've gotten here. Anytime I come in, I have to get the coffee eclair because it's just that good! The almond croissant is to die for, and you can't go wrong with the pain au chocolat or the regular croissants! Quiches are also delicious - I could go on and on. Chef Alain takes pride in his work and it absolutely shows. You can walk in on any given day and he'll be in the back rolling out croissants or the crust for quiches. Truly an art form that you can only appreciate in person. The shop is small and aside from one table, it's standing room used to order. Baked goods like croissants and brioche are in the case right when you walk in. Pastries such as eclairs and tarts are in the case to the left. I highly recommend getting a few different things to try. They have plans to begin baking fresh breads in the near future and I'm sure those will be equally as delicious! read more

We just had the best croissants in town. We have been waiting to go here because it's out of the way for us but it was definitely worth it. Finally a great pastry in Boca/Delray area. Reminds me of Paris. The Bakery itself is small but has a cute table outside to sit and enjoy. We actually saw "The French Bakery" across the street and decided to do a blind taste test of the plain croissant and the chocolate croissant. Maison Bouchard won both.
