Came to L'atelier after eating lunch and not expecting to get a whole lot, just a little snack for later. I knew immediately when I stepped inside that was not going to be the case. I got a baguette, coffee eclair, strawberry tart, kouign-amann, regular and chocolate banana bread and a regular croissant (as they just came fresh out of the oven) I had the croissant immediately. It was warm, flaky, airy, buttery, everything a croissant should be! The coffee eclair was insanely creamy and they so not skimp on the filling! Nice coffee flavor, not too overpowering. The kouign-amann was heated up so it was a bit softer. Great caramelization. I cant speak about the baguette, banana breads or the tart, but those will definitely be taken down later! The woman who served us was also incredibly kind. For about $45 this was a steal! Will definitely be back!

An out of town friend told me to go to one place in Delray Beach- L'atelier Des Pains. When I pulled up to a random strip mall, I got excited. What a gem! L'atelier Des Pains didn't disappoint! It's a tiny bakery with croissants, pastries, cakes, and more. Everything in the display looked amazing. I ordered the double chocolate almond croissant. The man behind the counter warmed it up for me. It was very big and messy, but tasted good. The bottom texture was a little off so I wouldn't order it again, but the taste was there! There are a few tables outside and window seating inside.

A little piece of French bakery heaven in Delray Beach. They have every piece of French bakery items you could wish for from breads to croissants to a few savory items as well. Delicious items all made in store.

Excellent French bakery. Yves is a master French baker. There is a wide selection of fantastic pastries. A drop out of the way but a must stop. Wonderful.

Front of store. Hard to choose - pastry or gelato. Both are great choices.

The day we visited, Chef Yves was making a custom Kings bread. So not only did everything in the case look fabulous, the place smelled amazing. it was a hard decision, but we went with a croissant, a chocolate-pistachio croissant and an éclair. I'd go back for the croissants. I'm sorry I didn't know about this place during the holidays. I want to try the chef's Bûche De Noël and galette de rois.

We recently took a drive from Miami to visit the "Egyptian Pharaohs: From Cheops to Ramses" exhibition at the PBS studios. As we made our way back, we spotted a sign at a nearby shopping mall that piqued our interest, leading us to stop for a little treat. L'atelier Des Pains. What a fantastic decision that was! The treats were absolutely delicious. The highlight, however, was the warm and welcoming service we received from Lisa. Her friendly demeanor and genuine kindness made our visit even more special. My little one was in love. I wish we lived closer! This unexpected stop turned our outing into something memorable, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area or passing through. Don't miss out!

Where is this new French bakery?! It is in Delray's foodie plaza, along the East side of Congress between Atlantic and Woolbright. L'atelier is in good company alongside Rogie Pierogies, Ana's Killer Empanadas, and Proper Ice Cream. There is a tall counter that faces the front window with some stools inside and some chairs and tables outside. I really enjoyed being able to get a baguette and sourdough bread along with my eclair, apricot pastry, and a couple of other delectable looking items. I will definitely return. I love a good bakery, and I would love to try more things. I don't mind paying for specialty items. But there is nothing in the store that tells me anything about the owners, the ingredients, the technique, etc. I appreciate that info. Also, I get paying for something particularly French or difficult to make like pastries, but chocolate chip cookies are just cookies. I cannot justify paying this much for a cookie no matter how amazing it might be, unless it is super large, made with organic ingredients, etc. Suggestions to owners: -cut up items for samples because trying something is often the key to wanting more of it -offer some daily specials or limited items: don't change what you make but make the items seem more exclusive -use a Yelp Check-In Offer -Have at least 1 thing be cheap-ish! I would have loved to buy a bag of madeleines if they were just a tad cheaper.

Great bakery selections and service was excellent

Tried this bakery during Mother's Day weekend with my mother and grandmother. Everything we ordered was delicious (cappuccinos, sandwiches, and pastries). The service was excellent.

I've wanted to try this French bakery for a while & today was the day. Every cake, pastry & croissant was a work of art. The smell of butter permeated the shop. We left with a bag with 3 delectable chocolate chip cookies that were the best I've had in Florida. The breads @ sandwiches were appealing too!

This is the custom "tarte" that we had made for us.

This little French bakery is the real deal. Everything is made by the very friendly owner Yves, and it is delicious. We just had a tarte custom made, and, as you can see by the photo, looks and tastes absolutely delicious. We love the crusty french bread. One treat that we absolutely love, and have never had anywhere else, is the pistachio croissant. Oddly green in color, but addictingly delicious. The chocolate croissants are also our favorite. There are two tasty treats that we keep buying to enjoy as breakfast, a ham and mozzarella round "tart" and one with salmon. This is a nice bakery, and I hope it sticks around for a long time.

Thank you Sugar Chef for the amazing job you did on the cookies for my daughter's Baby Shower…read more With short notice on a holiday weekend .. after my order was cancelled by another vendor .. you really came through for me! I needed a special birthday cake for my mother-in-law's 88th birthday. After reading Yelp reviews,…read moreI chose Sugar Chef. I cannot agree with the other reviewers, and am posting this negative review in hopes of helping others. The whole reason I picked Sugar Chef was how they had decorated the cake I offered for inspiration. What they gave me was NOTHING like the inspiration. The only things they got right were the fondant color and chocolate cake. When I pointed this out to the rude person who brought out the cake, she took no responsibility for the errors, and no offer to try to fix the decoration. She only offered to refund the cost and I could leave without a cake...right before we were to bring it for the birthday dinner. This woman had the nerve to place blame on me, saying I wasn't specific in my order. Not only did I discuss what I wanted with Marie, but I put in an email exactly what I wanted, AND provided previous Sugar Chef photos I found online, as to how to decorate and another showing the ganache color. I even discussed dietary concern with buttercream icing as my reason for choosing jam filling. The cake decoration was so pedestrian and could have been done by any reasonably talented grocery store. It had a bunch of same sized roses ringing the bottom of the cake, not around the middle of the cake (as in the inspiration photo). To add insult to injury, there was a lot of buttercream icing in between the layers and very little jam flavor, and although the chocolate cake had a nice flavor, the crumb was very dry. Here is my original email specifying what I was ordering (edited for brevity): 6" chocolate cake Seedless raspberry or strawberry filling Fondant - the pretty blue color, as shown. Due to father-in-laws digestion, he needs to limit his dairy intake, so a lot of buttercream icing would be bad for him. Please use the Sugar Chef image as a reference for putting a decorated band of flowers around the perimeter of the cake, in colors that go with the fondant. Decorate the top with or without additional flowers, with or without "Happy 88th Birthday," or a combo. Most of all, the cake must be delicious. I was so upset, I ended up sending two emails during the celebratory dinner, sharing my dissatisfaction regarding the ordinary decoration that wasn't even placed where I requested, and again when we cut into the cake and I saw the large amount of buttercream. I felt in my rights to ask for compensation on such an expensive cake, solely on those order details not being followed. I didn't even let them know the cake was dry. It's been a week and I've not received an email reply, a call, or simply a credit card refund. Their lack of following specific order details, execution, and taking responsibility has forced this poor review. Shame on them.

Owner Danny Cho moved here from South Korea in 1996. After meeting CEO John Nam in church, they have gone on to open locations in Davie in 2014, Lauderdale, and Boca Raton in 2017. Their newest bakery, Ari is located in the Boynton Beach Promenade Plaza. Look for gold spinning pinwheels out front. Paris Morning bakeries are known for their less sweet French influenced Korean pastries. The bakery's most popular item is the red velvet cake is decorated to look like an apple. Ari has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. There are tables inside if you want to dine in. Wooden tables hold breads and individually wrapped pastries made with red bean paste, matcha, chocolate, almond, and blueberry cream cheese. Once you decide you can take your selections to the register to pay. Other sweets include macarons, croffles, and beautifully decorated sponge cakes decorated with light and creamy frostings. They also sell savory traditional Korean-style meat with rice bowls called zipbop, which are popular among Korean students. Drinks include hot coffee and tea, iced coffee, frozen lemonade, and bubble tea. A visit to Ari bakery is a delightful experience where you can explore a mix of French influenced traditional Korean flavors in cakes and pastries. Don't forget to add one of the refreshing drinks. I am a fan of the lychee bubble tea and the hamster bread is especially adorable.
