Of their three locations, the Redwood City locale is the one that my family and I have frequented the most. They are a solid spot to grab a quick Mexican meal. Below are the reasons for my overall 4-star rating for Sancho's Taqueria in Redwood City: PROS: * Free parking in the private lot. * Cool décor - those who love el Día de los Muertos art like me will appreciate the artwork on the walls. * Outdoor seating available. * They have an on-site bar. * Service is super friendly - at our most recent visit on Friday, June 20, 2025, one of the guys behind the counter who took our order gave us a couple of free baskets of chips and salsa (normally $2.00). * Food is yummy - I highly recommend the California Burrito ($12.95) with Carne Asada. It's my go-to order at Sancho's. * They are dog friendly, even indoors! We had our maltese, Lulu, sitting in her stroller next to our table at the dining room inside. Definitely a hidden gem in Redwood City. This place has better food than any of the overpriced Mexican restaurants downtown. Traditional Mexican dishes served with hand made tortillas. Some of my favorites are the enchiladas rancheras, caldo de res, milanesa and any of the shrimp dishes. Be ready for a long wait as they have limited number of staff working. The service here was fast and awesome which was very nice. For food I tried the green sauce enchiladas with seafood and this was fresh and inviting. My hubby got the chipotle sauce enchiladas which were even better. Sauce is great and I would definitely order this again. We also got chips and salsa which came with 3 different salsas and you could really tell they were fresh and homemade. For dessert, we got churros with ice cream. These were warm and crispy with a chewy interior and went perfectly with the ice cream. We would order this again! Overall, really nice experience and would come back here!
