I love supporting small businesses. We had 5 people at a table at the outside dining. We easily had racked up 300+ dollars. We planned on continuing. However, whoever the manager is, was a complete joke. Told us "you're going to need to leave, we have a reservation soon." So how is that our problem? There's more tables, same size. We aren't drunk, we are eating and having conversation. So, as we are trying to finish up, the manager told the waitress, "we need to get them out of here, give them all their tabs". Not knowing we heard her. Our tabs were all mixed up, and being rushed. I like this place, but after tonight trying to support a small business and being treated that way, we won't return. We planned on staying longer, but since we were forced to leave, someone else can have our business. read more

We have family gathering for Sunday brunch at Major Biddle's every time we are in town and are always pleased. The food is always fresh and the cocktail choices are amazing. Our servers are very attentive and friendly. I look forward to Sunday brunches with the family. read more

Easter 2022 was my first experience at Major Biddles. They served an excellent Easter Dinner Buffet with so many delicious foods to choose from and plenty of it. The wait staff was friendly and awesome, keeping on top of everything. We had a party of 9 and were seated upon arrival and greeted by our waitress within 2 minutes. Ordered their 8oz filet cooked medium rare. Waitress asked me to cut it and check when she brought it to the table. It was very undercooked but it's a thick piece of meat I understand mistakes can happen, anyhow she took the meat back to be put back on some more and when she brought the plate back it was too hot to even touch. (Which means the plate was microwaved) and the filet was still pretty much raw in the center. Was cold to the touch. Waitress came back by and asked how it was and I was honest. She said she would talk to the manager and see what they could do then she brings me a too go container for the left over food. I packed everything up and she came back saying she wanted to show the manager the piece of meat. When she returns she tells me the manager said there was nothing they could do since the meat was already packaged up and not on the plate still. I'm really not one to complain or cause a scene so I just accepted that answer and left. Definitely feel like that could of been handled better by the manager, for the price of the meal I just figured more attention would be paid to it and they would stand behind their food a little more. Was more first time that and sad to say will probably be my last. The waitress wait great though! Nothing against her at all! read more

They told us the wait was 15 minutes. They took 30 minutes to seat us. They gave us menus and we determined what we wanted. They then told us we could not order from the menu. Our only option was to order from the buffet. This is at 1:30 in the afternoon. This is about the 5th time I have been there since they changed management. I have had issues before but nothing like this. I wanted this place to be good because it is only a block and a half from my home. I will probably never go there again. read more

Really glad there's finally a good restaurant in the area. Started coming here a few months into the pandemic and have come in at least once a month since. Everything I've had is great. Drink selection is great. Just had the chicken parm which was better than most Italian joints I've been to. Staff is great. Love this place. read more

Came in for brunch and couldn't believe how gross it was and what they were charging. Was told by the hostess that bottomless drinks were included when you bought the "brunch buffet", but our waitress said each drink would be extra (even though there is a literal mimosa bar). Looked around at what we'd be getting with the brunch buffet, and it looked awful. All of the food was old and looked like it'd been sitting out for hours. Lots of flies, and the drinks sitting on top of the bar (that all cost extra) looked warm and gross. Didn't even end up eating here, just looked like a disappointing waste of money. If you don't want the whole buffet, you have to order each item separately. Wtf lol. Might give this place another try but this visit alone turned me off for a while. read more

Sat at high top tables across from the bar. Great vibe to the place, good music ( soundtrack to pulp fiction I think) better be hungry. The salad bar is extensive. Buffalo cauliflower and pretzel apps. were delicious. Serving sizes ample. Beer selection was amazing our server Savanna and the Manager Jackie were prompt, courteous and helpful. Compared to their other location, Truago, Major Biddles is a Major Bummer. I love truago and I frequently go there, but when I went to MB, I was pretty disappointed. Their service was slow both times that I went there and the food was mediocre. Two people that I went with ordered the vodka pasta and both dishes were COMPLETELY different. One of the orders had the normal creamy sauce that you would expect from a vodka pasta, while my cousins was completely red. Almost like they forgot to add the cream. I had to ask the waiter, manager, and a waitress that wasn't even ours for a coke and it took about 20 minutes to get my first one and never received the refill i asked for. I ordered the prime rib the first time i went there and enjoyed it, that's the only reason for the 3 stars. read more

Very nice, clean modern bar. Sat in the bar area, very plush seats! Ordered the Mac and cheese. For $10 it was a great portion and super good. Boyfriend got jambalaya and loved it, also good portion. He got a side of Brussel sprouts that were a little too covered in balsamic. We enjoyed our drinks, normal price for cocktails if you were going to a downtown spot. Will definitely return. read more

We came in on Saturday evening (7-9-22). We were seated on the barside and Sarah B was our server. I must say she was quite rude and didn't seem like she really wanted to wait on us. We ordered the Bruschetta for an appetizer which was OK, and for our entree's I ordered the Perch Piccata, and my boyfriend ordered a special Shrimp linguini with mussels ($32). He was very unhappy that he only received 3 shrimp, and the linguini was drowning in what appeared to be a ton of lemon juice, it was quite disgusting and the lemon just overpowered the whole dish. My perch was cold and very mushy, the only thing they did right was the loaded bake potato. I feel like we spent $85. for a loaded potato and that just isn't right..... We told our server about it and she said ohhh the kitchen must be slammed then and ran off somewhere..When she came back with out check no apologies or no discount. We were walking to our car and we heard someone screaming and it was our server and she yelled get the F out, not quite sure who she was talking to but it was quite obvious the owner was not working that night. I am sure she would not be to pleased all the employees hanging in the back smoking. What a shame, we won't be back...... read more

We been coming to Major Biddle since it open as a family dinner & just my husband & I. On Saturday I had the worse experience. I order a beer and they gave me a sour beer, it wasn't listed as a sour. I ordered the small prime rib medium well & end cut & it came our medium rare and not an end cut. You had a better draft beer selection when you opened. Need a nice amber. read more

This was our first visit since they opened. The inside was completely renovated it was very well done. There was 10 minute wait for a Saturday not to long we took a seat in the bar area which was very comfortable. The drink order was taken promptly and so was our food order. I ordered the chicken and waffles were very tasty the sides were very plentiful and tasty. The salmon was very good and the side choice of green beans was a good choice. read more

Great to see a restaurant opening in the area that isn't a Coney Island or Mexican restaurant! Having said that I was disappointed with a few things. The prime rib I ordered was actually three individual slices stacked. When one orders a PRIME RIB one expects a thick cut of beef!I Not something that looks like leftovers. It also lacked flavor. The broiled cauliflower was not broiled, just seemed steamed. The baked potato was awesome. The Old Fashion drink was off just not as good as some of the other establishment I visit. Inside decor was very nice, but very noisy. All in all certainty not worth the price I paid. This place was only open a couple of weeks, so perhaps my bad experience was just a start up hiccup. I do plan on revisiting, but I will give this place several months before I come back. read more

Literally the worst service I have ever had. There was no service, AT ALL. We arrived just before noon on a Thursday. 20 minutes after being seated we left without ever having ordered drinks. We watched groups that came in after us get their drinks and put in their food orders while we sat completely unattended. This is a real shame as we leave just a few blocks away and will never return. read more

I will go again. Good food good service. My wife and my son (27) stopped in for dinner, My and I had perch picatta with a baked potato. The perch was excellent and it was a generous portion and the potato was huge and properly cooked. It came with 2 sides i choose the baked potato and the spicy baked beans, good but too sweet for me. My son got spicy Mac & cheese with chicken, he was pleased with the spice level and took home half for tomorrow. My wife's other side was a creamy chicken soup - interesting it was a polish influenced version with lots of chicken, dill, lemon and other vegetables. ps wife & son cleaned up the beans! read more

Had a delicious meal at Major Biddle's last night. The fish & chips were awesome. Huge pieces of fish and very tasty chips! Husband had the meatloaf and it was delicious also. We stopped in for lunch around noon on a Friday. We were seated in the main dining room near the buffet island. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered a draft beer and glass of wine then an appetizer, Cajun tips priced at $14, very small pieces of streak drowned in au jus was tasty but overpriced. The Classic Caesar salad at $9 was a plate of romaine lettuce and several stale croutons with the dressing, from a bottle on the side. Not classic and not a true Caesar salad. The Shrimp Scampi at $19 passable but too lemony. And John's Jameson Cheeseburger which was ordered medium rare was cooked well done, was cold and in three pieces as if it was sitting in the kitchen long before we showed up and at $12 a disaster. This was our second visit and the last. Overpriced and less than acceptable food. It was, however, entertaining watching very large, poorly dressed men stalking like buzzards around the buffet table. Oh, and one more thing; the country music was blasting during our entire visit. read more
