Got a 12-inch pie, half stromboli and half ranch sauce combo... actually meant to get a 10-inch, but didn't realize that the "small" size was big enough to feed 3 people and what I had in mind was the "personal" size. Needless to say, I ended up with more leftovers than expected. I couldn't find an option online to order half and half for pizzas, so I called in a phone order instead. The pizzeria was a cozy takeout spot with just a couple counter seats inside and a small parking lot shared amongst other businesses including 7-Eleven next door. Service was efficient and helpful when I arrived, and I was on my way in no time, to enjoy my pizza at home. The thin crust was tasty and crisp at the edges and went well with the zesty pizza sauce and creamy ranch. There was plenty of melted cheese, and the toppings were fresh and delicious, especially that savory ground sausage. Every bite was so satisfying. I'm definitely a fan of the pizza here. read more

Omg this place is definitely a hidden gem for pizza, it was so good especially when it is still hot. I have tried the cheese pizza & the pepperoni cheese pizza. Both were amazing. The dough was so soft and the crust was crispy but not too hard. I am usually just ok with pizza, but I love this place. Service is fast and staffs are friendly. Living in Mountain View, this spot has always been nearby but I'm ashamed to say I didn't check it out until recently! I was in the mood for some pizza, but I didn't want to get a full pizza just for myself. Fortunately, I saw they had pizza subs available, which I thought was pretty unique! The ability to get my go-to pizza toppings in a nice individual sized sub? Sure, let's do it! I chose to order online and then walk over to pick it up. For online ordering, all payments are done at the store, even if you're paying by credit/debit card. The shop itself is pretty small, and there's not any options to dine indoors. But the employees running the shop were pretty nice and helpful in getting my order! I only got myself a sub, but looks like the sub came with a free small bag of chips. For me, I'm a sucker for pineapple pizza, so I got my equivalent in the form of a sub. Each sub allows you to add up to 4 toppings to it, so I added canadian bacon, pineapple, onions, and cilantro. The sub itself is pretty massive and really filling! The bread was nice and toasted, almost like I'm eating the crust of a pizza. Super yummy and filled my pizza craving at a great price point! I know where I'm coming back when I need my pizza craving quenched but don't want a full sized pizza! read more

I give this pizza a solid four. I brought a co-worker to have a slice two weeks ago and she was impressed...with the pizza (her's w/pep, mine cheese.) Come for the pizza to-go bc you'll not be impressed w the "lobby", if you can call it a lobby. It's two broken down chairs at a rickety countertop. But who cares!? Go for the pizza. I came upon this little hole in the wall when I was a sales rep in the are years ago and it's still as good as I remembered it. I think a former co-worker's family owns it or did, not sure, if still but that's what brought me there. But who cares!? Care that when your slice gets heated up with more cheese put on top - it's thick and melty...and delicious. PLEASE change your hours listed on all platforms, Apple Mpas, Google Maps, Yelp, even your own restaurant. If your close at 10:00PM the start thing would be is lock your system online from allowing anyone to place any orders unless it's for the next day! If only FRI & SAT your open till 11PM then every other day in the week have 9:45PM be the last time for someone to place an order online! The absolute most annoying part of this entire situation is that, YOU guys see exactly when an order has been placed! If you saw an order come in at 10PM and you are supposed closed... knowing that a customer would be showing up expecting there to be their order waiting for them! idk maybe CALL THEM! We started ordering takeout pizza from here several months ago. It is the closest thing to East Coast pizza that we've found- my husband is from Buffalo and we love pizza that is similar to New York style but has a fluffy crust. We always get the 14-inch whole milk mozzarella pizza with toppings and what is mystifying is that sometimes the pizza is outstanding- lots of gooey cheese, soft crust, evenly-distributed toppings - and sometimes it is terrible. Last night (we always order on a Friday) was one of the off days - our crust was hard and dry and overdone, and some slices had way too much pepperoni on them and not very much cheese, which made it way too salty. So I think it's fair to say that this is our favorite pizza place maybe a little more than half the time? It's a little frustrating to get such inconsistent results, but we're going to stick with it. read more

Wanted to give a new place a try and was disappointed. A large Maldonado's special comes with pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms, onions, linguica and bell peppers. The crust was good when out of the oven and piping hot but when it cooled it was hard as a rock. Half the pizza was wet and very soggy but the other half was dry. Pizza is one of my favorite foods in the world, and Maldonado's does not disappoint! I ordered pizza and breadsticks just 20 minutes ahead of when I wanted to swing by to grab it, and they were keeping it warm for me to pick up. Not to mention, the staff were really nice and friendly! I will note that it's not a super nice-looking area and it doesn't look like much from the outside, and there isn't seating. However, if you're just looking for a pickup, this is the spot. My order was a large pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. It was a little greasy, but nothing that a napkin couldn't handle. What earned this place 5 stars from me was the pepperoni - I just went for the 1x topping, but it still was COVERED in pepperoni, and some of it was even layered in with the cheese. So delicious, and in my opinion, prices were reasonable! Will be coming back here for sure! read more

Although I ordered pepperoni and sausage and we didn't notice until we got home that we only got sausage on our pizza. They were nice about the extra ranch, some places they charge you extra. While staying in Mountain View, my son wanted pizza. And not just any pizza, he wanted "good" pizza! We decided to try Maldonado's. The delivery was WAYYYYY sooner than expected. The driver was super nice! Our order was perfect! The cheese sticks couldn't be any better. It came with ranch and marinara sauce for dipping. The pizza was amazing!!! The perfect amount of toppings. I've been going to Maldonado's for 50 years. Our family lived in Mt. View and for the OGs that went to Klein Elementary School you all know this place as Pontillo's. It is amazing how the current owners are using the same recipes and their pizzas and sub sandwiches have not changed over the years of changing ownership. My kids, nieces and nephews all grew up eating at this pizzeria. It is a hidden gem. They are very consistent with the quality of the food and they are very generous with the toppings on pizzas. It is so nice to see a business opening for this long and still maintain the original integrity and honesty of serving their customers. I have not been cheated at this place. IMO the pizza is NY style but with a light fusion craft of a CA West Coast mentality. All I can say is try for yourself and taste their pizzas and sub sandwiches - this is the only test to know if the pizza is good or not. read more
