I actually stumbled across New York Pizza by accident when I got lost in Mountain View. I ended up in the Ranch 99 plaza and spotted the giant "New York Pizza" sign from a distance, and since it was lunchtime and I'm a huge pizza fan, I decided to give it a try. This is a great spot if you're looking for a quick slice or a full pie. I haven't ordered a whole pizza yet, but judging by the massive boxes stacked near the oven, they're huge. The slices are the real highlight. A cheese slice is around $6.50, while specialty slices like the combo run about $8. The slices are enormous, loaded with toppings, and served hot and fresh after a short wait. I've tried both the combo and cheese slices, and both were excellent. The combo slice was so filling that I ended up taking my cheese slice home for my wife. I also appreciate the consistency, these last two visits so far has delivered the same large portions and generous toppings. They offer more than just pizza too, including sandwiches, salads, and I believe calzones. While it doesn't quite have the exact New York flavor I'm used to from visits to the Big Apple, the huge slices, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and great value keep me coming back. We ordered 9 large pizzas delivered for a birthday party and the order was executed perfectly. I called the day before and had no issues placing my order over the phone with the helpful staff. The pizzas arrived right on time, piping hot and our guests loved them - we got a pepperoni, cheese, sausage and peppers, and Hawaiian. They did party cut (square slices) since we had a lot of kiddos attending and that really cut down on food waste. As typical when you're hosting a party, I didn't get to eat anything hot but am now crushing a few cold slices standing around in my kitchen and the quality and value is definitely there. Thin but chewy crust, sauce is not overly sweet and the cheese has a nice extra Italian seasoning on top for a super savory vibe. Having lived in NYC I see the stylistic elements here - tangy sauce, bouncy but thin crust - but certainly don't expect the exact flavors because, quite frankly, the competition and culture around here isn't going to produce that level or type of pizza at this price point. I'm very happy to give this place 5 stars for doing its category very well, which is delivery thin crust pizza. When I say New York Pizza in Mountain View knows how to do it BIG, I mean it literally. We came for the King Kong slices and these things are no joke--easily bigger than my hand (pics don't lie). I went half on the Combination and Meat Lovers, and both were stacked. The Combination was loaded with fresh veggies, melty cheese, and just the right amount of sausage and pepperoni--every bite felt balanced, not soggy or greasy. The Meat Lovers? Pure comfort. Hearty, flavorful, and the kind of slice that makes you forget you were "just gonna eat one." My son called it the best pizza he's had in a while, and honestly, I can't argue with him. When the kid approves, you know it's real. The shop itself is small but has enough tables to sit and enjoy. We were told 15 minutes for our food, but it came out quicker than that. Staff was super friendly, and I loved watching the constant flow of delivery drivers running in and out--it's always a good sign when a place is that in demand. One of the best New York style pizza in the area! They have many options, sizes, and items. They make it fresh for every order and are usually very fast. Their King Kong sized whole pizza is huge when we need to feed a lot of people. I usually opt for a large size for family dinner nights. It's not a big store since most people take out but there is some space to seat indoors. After a terrible experience at Tony's Slice House Mountain View. (My review is posted on their yelp page). My family and I decided to give NYP a try. Let me start of by saying the service was amazing. The cashier took his time with us and even made suggestions on how we could save some $. Fantastic! We ordered a few slices, a large mixed combo and a few other items. Despite the cooks looking extremely busy they managed to have our food served to us within 15 minutes! The pizza was loaded of fresh toppings and did not lack in flavor or cheese. The under carriage was Crispy from tip to crust and the sauce had just the right tang. I'm pretty particular about pizza as someone who doesn't usually eat it a lot due to experiencing a lot of super greasy pizza, and found this place on DoorDash. I ordered the gourmet pizza and shared it with my boyfriend. The 12" is considered a medium and was already a bit pricey. However, the pizza tasted super great with all the flavors and textures and good crust. I'm not usually a crust eater, but really liked it from here! Found another solid pizza place in South Bay!! The dough was good, cooked just right, sauce was good and I liked that it was a little bit on the heavier side. The pizza wasn't flimsy and held together well with toppings. There was also some seasoning of some kind with a hint of garlic that I loved. Sausage was delicious and dolloped on like little baby meatballs. My kids loved the pizza and the 6 yr old inhaled 4 slices! There is seating inside, it's small but it wasn't busy so we easily found a table. Pizza came out fast, super hot, straight from the oven.
