Of course he could have upcharged but he was right. Well balanced. The steak fajitas fed two. The kids almost finished their tacos. The croquettes are one of my absolute favorites and they really were great. We all sampled each others food and I would come back if I was in the area again. The shrimp on garlic sauce had some heat. All around great place. Parking in the area was rough. I don't know what to suggest for this. Obviously a beach area at the lake and busy. We almost didn't find parking. Glad we did.

Enjoyed a very tasty dinner at this spot, but just beware when ordering cooking will take a while!…read moreWe were seated on the patio, which was nice, felt more airy. The interior of this restaurant is very small, with limited seating. I'd say patio seating is the best. We put our names in and were told it would be 30-40 minutes, so went up the road for a drink...as our drinks came out, the table became ready, in only about 20 minutes, so we had to drink quick and head back. We got back and a server took our drink order, they took a bit to bring them out and then we placed our order. We ordered a chicken Paella to share. The menu did note paella would take 45 minutes to cook, so we also got a few appetizers, ceviche, guacamole and Patatas bravas. After about 2 minutes, we had to flag down the water again and check the apps were coming g our first, and not everything at once...he went to check and then began bringing them out. The wait was long, but they were all good. As they began taking away appetizer plates they brought a hot plate for the paella and a bowl "for the shells"...at this point I reminded him we got the chicken paella, he agreed and took it away, it was then about 45 minutes later (1.5 hours total) that he finally brought them out chicken paella out, acknowledging the long wait and informing us he accidentally put the original order in for for seafood paella. Nothing the long wait and the Erie, he told us the paella would be computed and profusely apologized for his error and the long wait. We appreciated his honesty and making things right by not charging us for the main dish after such a long wait. The paella ended up being very good and was way more than the (4) of us could eat. Overall, the food was good, service could use some work on their communication, but they did right by us. I'd try it again if ever in the area!

Came here over the weekend to celebrate my mother's birthday. Guests were 4 adults and 3 kids…read more Place was surprisingly not that busy especially on a Saturday night when that parking lot always gets so full. Place was nicely decorated and clean. Kids liked the little led lamps on the table. They really help with reading in the dim lit place (for the ambiance). But yes not that many tables taken and restaurant is fairly big. Could be the price point which is a bit on the higher side. But let's talk about the food. Had a really great meal here. For the items I remember the price will include. Let's get to it. Started with some bread ($8). It's a bit bigger than a muffin but splits into 4. Comes with some whipped truffle butter. Was small so we had to order 2. We ordered 2 plates of potatoes ($12?). Which kind of resembles the breakfast potatoes (home fries) you get at breakfast spots but elevated , seasoned well and a nice red sauce base and a white sauce top. We ordered some mussels. This dish was a bit confusing. Taste wise it was good, and the server did warn us. So they take the mussel on a half shell, remove the mussel mix it with some stuff and put it back on the shell, then batter and fry it. By the time it's fried you don't know which side the shell is on so you need to bite into it slowly . We ordered the chick which is pretty small portion wise (2 small thighs) and will run you about $30. Delicious sauce and very juicy. We ordered a pork chop ($48) , not sure if the pink would scare you , but it was delicious and was quite tasty I found. The mushrooms $18)was a real winner for me. Beautifully presented and an amazing burst of flavour. Served with a raw egg in the middle for dipping and seasoned well. I could have just ate the mushrooms so delicious. Next came the seafood platter. Shrimp, squid rings and octopus. Char on the octopus was amazing. The kids surprisingly kept asking for more. Shrimps were a good size and quite tasty. Then of course the seafood paella $95) came. We ordered a large and it is quite filling. There is a smaller one I think around $50. Flavor was good, portion of seafood was very good. It was a work of art. The rice was nicely seasoned and everything tasted really good. We ordered some Churros for dessert (2 PC's for $12). It comes with a chocolate sauce that the kids wanted to drink, it was tasty and dipping the churro in it was great. We asked the server if they do anything for birthdays. She told me they have cheese cake so we shared a piece of that too... Delicious.. not sure if it was a problem or miscommunication, but thought it was going to be complimentary for birthdays, or what I was less to believe. Could have been miscommunication but it was $18. It's fine though, we enjoyed our meal. I would go back for special occasions, 4 adults 3 kids meal (no alcohol) and a diet coke after tax and tip was around $450. Food was tasty , but you will drink a ton of water from all that sodium.

The bone marrow was roasted well, and the sourdough was grilled perfectly. If the condiments for the marrow were easier to scoop with a spoon and not placed on the side of the plate, the experience might have been even better. The mushroom croquetas were as expected with a truffle cheese sauce filling, nothing special about it. The shrimp was overcooked and became tough, especially given its size, although the flavor was decent. For the paella, it's best to order as soon as you sit down since it takes at least 30 minutes to prepare. It's a good portion size for sharing, and the flavors were tasty. I would have preferred if the seafood on top wasn't overcooked, as it was a bit chewy. We finished with churros for dessert, served with a side of dulce de leche. Overall, both the service and food were good.

We ordered a mix of dishes to share, and everything came out beautifully presented. The flavors felt very balanced--nothing overly heavy, just really well thought out. The seafood was especially fresh, and the tapas-style plates made it fun to try a bit of everything. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the pacing of the meal felt just right. It's the kind of place you can come for a relaxed evening but still feel like you're treating yourself a little. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially with friends so we can order more and share.

Our favourites were the oxtail pintxo, bravas, wagyu, churros, and flan--each of these really stood out and delivered on flavour. That said, I was especially excited for the paella, and it unfortunately fell short. I've had better paella from a food truck, and for much cheaper. Between the chicken and striploin, we preferred the chicken as it had a more cohesive flavour. The striploin was cooked closer to rare when we asked for medium rare, making it tough to eat, and the rice itself was quite bland. On a positive note, the service was lovely--attentive, warm, and accommodating throughout the night. Our server checked in often without being intrusive and made the experience feel polished and welcoming. Overall, while the ambience and service made for a great evening, the food didn't quite justify the price for me. Not sure I'd return, but still a nice spot if you're looking for a good atmosphere.
