Very clean and beautiful spot. Went here for a birthday dinner on a quiet Tuesday night. The food was 8/10. We ordered a wedge salad (could've been fresher, the lettuce had some reddish/purple hews), the short rib sliders were okay, too sweet for my liking. The crab cakes were soft and good, a little sharp relish-like taste but it didn't bother me much. The hot honey brussels were delicious and the porterhouse steak was cooked so well! Could've been seasoned a little more BUT so tender and juicy, definitely my favorite. I wish this steakhouse had a mac and cheese side dish option but that's okay. The service was great and the food came out quick and fresh.

We celebrated my sister's birthday here. The staff was amazing enough to accept a flower delivery the day before, set up the table with decorations that we provided, and set out the small favors. The night of the event was great. We arrived and the table was set up and ready to go for 12 people. The staff was professional and friendly. We started off with drinks from the bar. Then we ordered a bunch of appetizers which included: shrimp cocktail, fried calamari, short rib egg rolls, and baked clams. Everything was amazing. All fresh and very flavorful. My favorite was the baked clams. We all ordered different dishes. I had the filet mignon with hot honey brussel spouts and fries. The steak was cooked to my liking, but I found the filet to be a little on the fatty side. I guess I just got a bad cut. I didn't have to salt to pepper it which was good. They kept coming over to clear plates and decrumb the table. Everyone said their dish was amazing and cooked perfectly. We all had coffee and cake that we brought. The price was right and the place was clean including the restrooms. Overall it was a great experience and my family enjoyed it very much. Thank you so much.

I thought this place would be great to take my girlfriend out, but i was slapped in the face with bad service, and even worse sympathy by the waiter who was clearly overworked- and the sheer stupidity/ unprofessionalism. For starters, we had an 8:15 reservation and we got sat closer to 9. After we ate some fishy baked clams (six for like 15 dollars ), it took us until around 10:45 to actually get our entrees. In addition, we were still working on our Caesar salad, and a bus boy took the plate away without even asking if we were finished! it's completely unacceptable. After explaining to our waiter that the bus boy took our salad, he simply said "the kitchen is backed up" and walked away. no offer to replace, comp, or at least apologize for the inconvenience. last but not least, there was a FULL 22% GRATUITY ADDED FOR A TABLE OF TWO. i'm so sorry to say but this must've been one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. literally spent 3 hours in there for NOTHING!!! anyway. i'm annoyed. still kinda hungry. bye guys. i'm not even a review typa gyal this just needed to be said

There's an old saying that goes "you get what you pay for". In this case, we received a lot more. From start to finish, the experience was superb. This is a cozy restaurant near the Verrazano bridge in Bay Ridge. The decor was unique. The seating was comfy. The service was above and beyond what I'd hoped for. And the food! Everything we tried was delicious. We started with the cheese plate and loaded cottage fries. My husband and daughter had filet Mignon and I went with the NY strip with asparagus friti and the au gratin sides. The cocktails were delicious and they made my Daughter a delicious mock mojito. We will definitely be back. This is a great place to celebrate and have a great meal. This is the kind of service, food and experience I miss in restaurants and I'm glad to have found it again.

Large portions, great staff! Malone did not disappoint! The food was fresh, flavorful and plenty. We enjoyed each item we ordered except the crab cakes... the lemon overpowered the crab taste. Our lobster bisque was hot and creamy, steak good to our liking and flavorful, bake potato fluffy and hot and the asparagus friti was a nice treat. I would recommend going here for family dinners, celebrations or when you just really want to eat good.

The food was incredible. Steak was cooked just right, the eggplant tower was delicious, and the sides were really good (best creamed spinach I've had). The service was great. The owner came to check on us. It really is a good neighborhood spot. They had a DJ and the place became a vibe as we were having diner. Great date night destination.

Chicken parmigiana over rigatoni with vodka sauce

Been here numerous times and our meals have always been excellent! Last night decided to change it up and ordered chicken parm over rigatoni with vodka sauce and it was delicious! My husband ordered the dry aged strip steak and it was the best one we've had to date! The quality of meat ordered by this restaurant beats any other local steakhouse by a mile! The prices are comparable but I also don't mind paying more for quality products.

The restaurant itself has a modern, chic décor with a lively but moderate noise level. It strikes a great balance between energetic and intimate, making it an excellent spot for a romantic date night if that's what you're looking for. Our server, Sam, absolutely made the experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions with confidence, and did an amazing job matching our preferences with the perfect food and drink recommendations. Her service was exceptional from beginning to end. We started with the pita and hummus, and you could immediately tell everything was made from scratch. The pita was warm and fresh, the hummus was incredibly smooth and flavorful, and you could truly see and taste the quality. For dinner, we had the burger with the house chips. Both were excellent, and I especially loved the herb mayonnaise that came with the chips. I didn't even realize it was mayonnaise at first because it was so fresh and flavorful! We also shared the Caesar salad, which was delicious. The next morning, we came back for breakfast and ordered the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. It was absolutely decadent and the perfect way to start the day. Between the outstanding food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service, this restaurant exceeded every expectation. A huge shoutout to Sam for making our visit so memorable. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in the area to explore more of the menu and, hopefully, have Sam as our server again!

Mexican cuisine continues to be a thorn in my side since moving back up here 6 years ago. I simply…read moreexhaust myself into the same thought over and over again. This is not the city for Mexican food, I do not care who tries to sway me. It simply. Does not. Work. The trend continues at this tiny cantina in Dyker Heights. I paid $40 for mediocrity, maybe even a step or two below it. The staff is friendly and cute, and speaking Spanish will get you further, but the food drops off significantly after the promising chips and dip. When I ordered the Queso Fundido, I was looking forward to a sharp Mexican blend with ground chorizo and some extra chips to boot. Instead I got what looked like blended Oaxaca cheese, an onion top, and some very unattractive bits of chorizo that were begging me not to eat them. So I did not. I ate the cheese because the cheese was pleasant, but the fact it comes with flour tortillas does not help its cause. When I ordered the Tortilla Soup, I was hoping for a nice blend of Mexican spices, shredded chicken, avocado, and tortilla strips. While I did get that, I also got bland flavors and a lack of any personality with the soup. In fact, it had a weird, milky, creamy broth that made me feel uncomfortable about finishing it. So I did not. When I ordered the fish tacos, I was expecting a nice piece of fresh fish, plenty of spicy pico, and an aoli to round out the whole thing. The breading for the fish is a tempura breading (bad call), and the fish they use is tilapia (an even worse call). I understand that this is not San Diego, but these two pieces of fish were practically begging me to put them out of their misery so I could send them packing for the Golden State at a later time. I duly complied. As I walked out I continued to wonder. Will this city ever get it right with a cuisine I hold close to my heart? Because right now, the future is looking bleak. At least my food was spared from further torture.

We had the best night at Michael's!…read more I knew Michaels was an iconic restaurant deep in Brooklyn. I've seen their sauce sold in stores before, and we finally made the trip out for dinner. We went around Christmas and it was decorated inside. The restaurant was packed. Every single table was full. Everyone was having the best time. Even the bar was totally full of people ordering drinks before they were seated. The food is classic, New York Italian. Everything is a very well done version. The veal Parm was one of the best I've ever had. The caramel cake at the end was truly beyond. I can't recommend this experience enough. We ate for three hours had amazing cocktails, great bottles of wine and a really delicious meal. Looking around, you could tell the diners were locals enjoying a beloved neighborhood restaurant. The interior looks like a classic Italian restaurant and service is very formal. It was quite busy for a weekday night. There's valet parking so you don't have to stress about finding street parking nearby. We ordered fried calamari, baked clams, baked vodka penne, and the Fisherman's Platter. We were served bread and some antipasto to start. The calamari was a classic and I loved the sauce -- it had a good spicy kick to it. The baked clams were okay. The Fisherman's Platter is a must and good value with its generous portion of seafood. It can definitely be shared amongst two people. The baked vodka penne was also good but portion was on the smaller side. I would say Michael's is a must try at least once.
