Our visit was very short notice, and we were simply hoping to make the most of it for the kiddo's birthday. Our server, Aldo, was a huge part of what made the experience so easy and enjoyable. He was incredibly pleasant, attentive, and always on it. There was never a wait for anything. He was also so easy to talk to and genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate us. At some point, I think I may have become a bit of a troublemaker trying to decorate and bringing things that weren't preferred. Sorry, Aldo! He made sure we stayed within the rules while still helping us make the birthday special. When we brought an ice cream cake that couldn't be placed in the fridge, he brought us a bucket of ice to keep it cold. He handled everything with such a great attitude and made us feel taken care of rather than like we were a hassle. "Aldo deserves a lot of recognition for his exceptional service." Event: Game # 7 NBA Western Conference Finals. Spurs vs. Thunder. It's fun, but like most avenues for fun these days, it's pricey. Located inside the Westfield's Mall at Solano Town Center (forever known to locals simply as Solano Mall for short). Better have your credit card on point or a wad of cash to see a good time here. We ate before arriving, as we were looking to move beyond the basic pub food offerings. So, can't really comment on the burgers n' such. Upon entry, it's pretty much an unorganized and haphazard way of seating yourself. But, we found a table close to the bar and with prime sight lines of the big screens. This, despite signs at the tables saying wait to be seated by a hostess (?) Took awhile to be acknowledged by a server, but we weren't in a terrible hurry either. Started with rounds of drinks. Non-drinker myself, my two 12 oz. canned non-alcoholic brews were $9 a piece w/o tip. My buddy had Blue Moon yard flights that were about $15 per. Your basic well mixed drinks range from $15-$20 per, with call drinks priced at market-bearing prices. The "eatertainment" chain also gets their hooks into you with their play passes. These are the cards that you can purchase for you & your kiddos if you wanna play their fancy, state-of-the-art video games. The venue pushes these pretty hard. They have very nice big screens showing the latest sporting events with no cover charge typically. Big plus there. But, of course, you're paying one way or another through the upsell. Server Tiffany was a sweetheart and took good care of us. Be sure to take care of your hard-working servers folks! The armed security guard-bouncers were (surprisingly) friendly & cool with us too. By chance, we bumped into old school homies who are well known in the music industry. They were looking to enjoy the place, drinks and the game on the semi-low. Linked up and exchanged rounds of drinks with them after they shotted us out. Separate bathrooms unattached to the mall were clean & welcoming, always a blessing when drinking of course. Wow! How much this place has changed. They should consider firing the entire staff and hiring new employees. My boys had such an amazing experience today at Dave & Buster's, all because of an incredible employee named Raven. My oldest son has been obsessed with GOAT lately, so when we walked in and saw some of the characters in the claw machine, he was determined to try and win one. so my husband loaded up the game card, and we gave it our best shot. After trying over and over, we realized the way the plushies were positioned made them nearly impossible to grab. We were just about ready to give up. As Raven happened to be walking by and cleaning, my husband politely asked if he could rearrange the stuffed animals to give us a fair chance. Without hesitation, Raven smiled and gladly helped. Not only did he reposition the plushies, but he also gave our boys a free play. Because of Raven's kindness, my son was able to go home with a couple of the GOAT characters he had been hoping for. The smile on his face was priceless, and it truly made his night. Acts of kindness like this may seem small, but they create memories our kids will never forget. Thank you, Raven, for going above and beyond, and thank you, Dave & Buster's, for having employees who genuinely care about making families feel special. Like a lot of these other reviews, the food is actually not an issue at all. My family and I came to celebrate my little sister's 34th birthday. She wanted to go to a place with good food and drinks and she was suggested this place. Upon walking in, I was immediately overstimulated by the lights and noise. I am neurodivergent, and the eloper in me was ready to immediately run away. It took about 40 minutes to self-regulate and drown out all of the noise, so if you have children with autism/adhd, be advised there will be an adjustment period when dining in. That said, this place was VERY clean and inviting. Our hostess was kind, and got all of our drinks and orders in fairly quickly. I ordered the Margherita Flatbread with cauliflower crust (an extra $2) and the elote cauliflower. Everyone's food began to arrive about 20 minutes after ordering. Everyone's meal was placed in front of them except for mine. The person delivering the food then told me they had no more cauliflower crust, so they didn't make my flatbread and wanted to know if the gluten option was okay. To be honest, I was a bit upset that they waited until everyone else's food was complete and delivered before letting me know they needed to change up my order. My meal took almost an hour to get to me while everyone around me ate, and I was a bit peeved by this. The food itself was a hard 5/5, the flatbread was delicious (even with the gluten) & the cauliflower was cooked to perfection. The flatbread was one of the best I've ever had, and the bruschetta with the ricotta and basil was phenomenal. Atmosphere was a 2/5 because of the lights and noise, service was a 2/5 because of the lack of communication leading to my meal coming out by the time everyone was almost done eating. I'm only giving this place 3 stars, because of the awesome worker in the Prizes helped me and my family out more times than I can count! He was an absolute stud and deserves more! But the remaining review is strictly going to be the food service and staff. They are the absolute worse! They need to hire more servers! Not bartenders! We got seated, and the host said somebody will be with us shortly. After sitting for well over 30 minutes, nobody checked In with us! I started to wave my hand, and get attention but everyone kept turning a blind eye. It's absolutely absurd that they make us wait and wait and wait, and after about 1hour I just sat up and left. HORRIBLE SERVICE - Avoid unless you have time to waste and money to throw away I don't usually write reviews, but last night's experience was so unbelievably bad that I felt compelled to warn others. We arrived at 5:45 PM, and from the moment we walked in, everything went downhill: 1) Ignored at the host stand We waited over 10 minutes just to be seated. We stood right at the host stand while multiple staff members walked past us, made eye contact, and still didn't acknowledge us or offer to help. 2) Dirty table upon seating When we were finally seated, the table hadn't been cleaned. We had to wait another 5-10 minutes while they tried to find someone to wipe it down. 3) Drink taken without asking At one point, our server took my half-full alcoholic drink without asking if I was finished. That's basic restaurant etiquette. I tried to stop them, but between the loud music and my limited mobility right now, I couldn't get their attention in time. That was my only drink of the night--just gone, along with my money. 4) Completely unacceptable food delays - OVER AN HOUR!!!!!!!!! We were a party of 7. Five of us ordered entrées, and two ordered fries. It took an entire HOUR for the first dish to come out--and it was just one entrée. My friend finished his entire meal before anyone else got food. Eventually, most of the food came out... except mine. I was told it had been given to another table and had to be remade. So everyone else is eating while I'm still waiting. By the time I finally got my meal, we realized we were still missing a simple side of fries. No one checked on us. We had to flag someone down--then waited another 30 minutes for fries. Unbelievable. Lastly, as if the experience couldn't get worse, on my way out, two employees were running around yelling and laughing. They crossed into my path twice and blew vape smoke in my face. The parking lot wasn't too busy for a Saturday. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to arrive. Luckily Chelsea was attentive and checked in on us. She ended up being our server for the remainder of the time. We order a few things. Strawberry lemonade was a little on the sweeter side but still pretty good. We grabbed some wings both boneless and bone-in, cauliflower elote, fried pickles and a caesar salad. Overall very fulfilling. We enjoyed the honey bbq and hot honey wings. Several of the games were broken including some of the games we played. We still enjoyed ourselves and all of the techs didn't hesitate to reimburse us for another game while working on the broken games. Honestly I think some of the people playing the games are just a little rough when playing making them break down a lot faster. The UFC fights were playing so the traffic did increase towards 5/6PM. Came here to meet a friend after an event that I had I ordered the nachos with shrimp. I asked for extra beans and extra cheese and I didn't get either the waiter. Alex tried his best to make sure that my mail was semi good, but it kept coming in Bit some pieces he had to bring me cheese separate have to bring me the black beans separate however the black beans it wasn't really black beans. It was like corn but in the menu it's a black beans, corn pico de gallo but it didn't say it was altogether so when I asked for extra black beans, they just gave me extra corn. So much to say. Unfortunately, not much good. First of all, they don't know how to cook steaks, hamburgers, basically anything beef or pork and some chicken. It's all overcooked. Oh, and don't expect to eat with the rest of your party, your meal might get forgotten or not available, but they won't tell you that until someone brings out the rest of your party's meals. Missed the beginning of the game because no one had turned the volume on for the game. Although that section is reserved for people to enjoy the big screen, plan on sitting there watching a mute TV listening to loud overhead music they have playing in the rest of the place. Customers sat there waiting until a customer flagged three different people about this issue before someone came out to turn the sound on. But, as soon as the game ended, even though there were still commentators reviewing and fans cheering, they were "johnny on the spot" turning the sound off. Even though there were customers still in the area eating, drinking, and still watching. This review is not for a one-time event. I have been there several times and have never had a pleasant experience in any of the above-mentioned areas. I give up. I tried to patronize the facility and have spent at least a thousand dollars, whilst giving them the opportunity to get rid of the kinks. Like, I said, nothing good ... one last observation ... they are so not Intune to the running of a restaurant that I saw a server coming out of the kitchen area with a full tray of food going from table to table asking people if it was theirs??? We have been to Dave & Buster's previously to play games, but this was the first time we ate at this establishment. The overall vibe we had since entering was the two employees did not want to be bothered. Neither was outright rude, but they did not seem enthusiastic or eager to help. (On a side note, the gentlemen working the gift shop/ticket area was very pleasant and patient). When we sat down for lunch, there was only one other table occupied. I only mentioned this because we had very slow service, for there to only be one other table that needed to be served. Again, the server did not seem particularly pleased to be taking our order, despite my party being very pleasant. We were a bit concerned with what the food may be like, due to the service we were receiving. We were pleasantly surprised that all the food came out wonderful. We ordered the Barbacoa Quesadilla, Fish and Chips, 5 cheese Flatbread, Half Rack BBQ Ribs & Chicken Cantina nachos. Everything was flavorful, had large portions, and was fresh. If I were to try the restaurant again, based on our service alone, I would not be back. If I were to base it solely on the food quality, I would consider it. My daughter waited over 30 minutes after my food and her food was still not out and it was only spinach dip when it arrived. There was a layer of cheese over the top that was so robbery and the chips were so stale that you could not even dip your chip without it breaking our server was so embarrassed by how our food looked she went and got the so-called manager and he came to the table and agreed to take our food off for two people. The bill was still $38 just for two drinks on the menu. It does not give any drink prices whatsoever so it's a big surprise when you get your bill. I will never go back to this place. I recently visited Dave & Buster's to catch a UFC fight, and it exceeded my expectations! We arrived around 7 PM and were pleasantly surprised to find a table available. Although this wasn't a drinking night for us, we enjoyed Diet Cokes and ordered two salmon bowls, but substituted the salmon with bean patties to accommodate our plant-based diet. The massive screens and great sound system made watching the fight an awesome experience, and there was no cover charge, which was a huge plus. The atmosphere was lively, but the service was okay. Toward the end of the evening, we witnessed a customer having a medical emergency. The staff immediately stepped in, remaining calm and professional. They quickly called for medical assistance and handled the situation with care. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back for the next UFC event. Highly recommend this location. If you decide to check it out and hang out in the bar area, don't forget to bring your jacket. The AC is always blowing hard. Dave & Buster's recently added some new things to their menu. I came craving their fish and chips, which is great. But I just had to try the new Buffalo Wing Burger. It was fantastic! It's boneless buffalo wings in traditional buffalo sauce, a generous layer of blue cheese crumbles on top of a 7 oz burger cooked to order, with a side of fries. It's my new favorite burger! Service was excellent and attentive. I didn't have to ask for anything. If you've never been to Dave & Busters it's not just an arcade. It has a large sports bar attached with good food. Our server was not being sarcastic, but he did appear to want to go the extra mile to help and could stand some retraining, but most of the staff will be in the same class. The security could use some charm school remedial training too. I overheard one of the security personnel tell the other guys to throw anybody ass out who is lingering around without a parent or grownup around. We ordered the wings, which were delicious. The menu said they came with celery sticks -- and they did... but literally two tiny pieces on a large plate. We also asked for a side of ranch -- they brought out a few and even said we could keep them. No big deal. The issue came at the end of the meal when the check showed multiple unexpected charges for the extras. Again, none of these were communicated in advance. I brought it up calmly to a manager named Joe -- not to argue over a few dollars, but to give honest feedback. Unfortunately, his response was dismissive and defensive: "That's just how it is." It wasn't about the charge, it was about being heard. His attitude escalated what was a very minor concern. I eventually spoke to Anthony, another manager, who was far more professional and receptive. He understood that sometimes customers just want to offer feedback -- not freebies. In the service industry, attitude matters as much as the food. It's not always about comping something -- it's about how you respond. Hopefully, they take this as constructive feedback.
