My friend recommended this little party shop for breakfast. I got a Nutella beignet, cheddar and scallion scone, and a hot chocolate. They called my name for the hot chocolate, and I noticed it didn't have whip cream on it when I had a paid extra for that. I asked the girl to add it, and she pulled out reddiwhip, which was a little disappointing, but it was still good. The Nutella beignet was delicious but did taste a little stale. The cheddar scone was really good. After ordering, I noticed they had a fridge with little glass bottles of Diet Coke, so I grabbed one on my way out. If you want to sit down and eat, you have to wait to be seated, but they offer grab and go service at the counter. Good option for quick breakfast.

While coming back from the MET, we stopped here for a quick coffee. It was around 6 PM, so I'm guessing it was close to closing time. Whenever I go to a coffee shop--especially a local one--I prefer getting my drink in a proper cup instead of those plastic ones. Anyway, I ordered a classic latte, but the taste felt very generic and nothing special to me. The ambience was good and the service was nice too; I just didn't really connect with the place.

New review: I got an assortment of pastries. Mainly the MS bun and cookie Both are WAY too sweet, and oddly burnt, in addition. Really disappointing- was excited about this new pastry shop! Not really reliable-especially for an expensive bakery. Would be nice to NOT have burnt food. Old: Cute place w cute decor and fresh pastries! Lots of food options.

3.5 and rounded up. Came by on a weekend afternoon around 4pm and the cafe was pretty busy though gradually thinning out since they close at 6pm. Overall thought the service and food/drink were decent, nice ambiance and well-designed concept. Their success shows in their growth the past ten years to around 18 locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Each has a consistent romantic, rustic chic aesthetic with plenty of faux flowers decorating their interior walls and front entrance. Their menu varies a little by location though the gist is they offer breakfast/brunch plates like avo toast, eggs, sandwiches, baked goods in the form of pastries/cookies/cakes, coffee and tea options, and in this location--a spread of maman merch like books, lunchboxes, caps, mugs, tumblers, etc. My friends and I ordered: - hot salted tahini honeycomb latte + oatmilk $7.25, thought this was light on the tahini flavor, couldn't taste it much until reaching the bottom, where the syrup settled. Also a little confused about the "honeycomb" name as I didn't taste much honey or see any honeycomb. On the pricier side for what it was, I'd prefer a black sesame latte for the bolder roasted sesame flavor. Will give credit that the tahini was very smooth and not grainy though. - Iced honey lavender latte $6, decent lavender flavor, not too overpowering. Fragrant, smooth and refreshing on a warmer day. - iced latte $5.25, didn't try this though I assume pretty standard. - kouign maman $6, their take on this pastry was nice. Buttery, flaky a little crispier on the edges than I was expecting though also pleasantly surprised by the level of sweetness (was anticipating it to be sweeter). - coconut oatmeal cookie $4.50, I didn't try this though my friend enjoyed the soft freshness of the dough and finished it in one sitting. I will say visually speaking most of their pastries looked pretty good, like the raspberry brioche, olive oil cake, Nutella brownie, a few different cookies. The exception was their croissants which looked kinda sad a bit pale and deflated, at least when I was there. That aside this is a good cafe to meet up since there's a good amount of seating, around 30ish seats between the front and the back rooms. One bathroom.

I came to maman with my mom for brunch, and we had such a fantastic experience! I had been here and to their other location in Ardmore PA before, and had completely forgotten about it until we were in the area on the way to the Met and wanted a fancy brunch. Before you even enter, the facade looks beautiful. Like many trendy restaurants in the city they've created a flower display that wraps around the molding and windows, making it feel like you're entering a tiny overgrown cottage in the French countryside. The inside is very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with rustic farmhouse-style tables decorated with flowers and blue and white ceramic tableware. On a Tuesday afternoon there were plenty of open tables in the front opposite the pastry display cases, but we opted to go upstairs into their quieter back seating area. We started with some of their seasonal lattes, which were both fantastic. I got their salted tahini honeycomb latte, that came sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. Such an unconventional flavor combo that worked SOOOOO well... I savored every last drop!! My mom got the honey lavender latte which was so fragrant and delightful too. For brunch, I ordered Elisa's breakfast bowl- with a fried egg, marinated chickpeas and sweet potato, sun dried tomatoes, herbed feta, and thinly sliced cucumbers over farro. Mixing it all together allows the feta to combine with the other flavors and create a delicious creamy dressing. My mom got the Tawni salad, which was so savory and delicious that I kept stealing bites! It had arugula, finely chopped red cabbage, sweet potatoes, farro, and pickled red onions tossed in a kale/pumpkin seeds pistou (pesto) and topped with an egg. The mark of a great salad (to me) is when I love it so much that I want to recreate it at home. This was definitely the case for both dishes!! The service was very prompt and efficient, but no one ever came to rush us out of our table. On the day that we went it was counter pickup only, but you were welcome to take food to one of their many tables and sit for as long as you'd like. It was very casual; there were even some ladies playing mahjong in the corner. We also got a blueberry goat cheese and thyme scone to have as a snack later, and it was incredible. The flavors complimented each other so well, and the berry and cheese filling made for an almost cheesecake-like texture inside the scone. I've done too good to go orders from maman before and have been impressed with the quality of their pastries so this was not a surprise. They really excel in creating unique flavor combos that elevate everyday baked goods!

Good first experience at Maman. My vanilla cloud cookie was unique, fresh, and gooey. They have a great chocolate chip cookie as well. My matcha latte with vanilla was also very enjoyable. Long line on a Saturday mid-day. Very cute spot!

Crowded on a Saturday brunch crowd on UES. Locations downtown may check out. Cute French inspired cafe. Scallion scone delicious and seasonal pumpkin cube delicious. Good vibe a bit noisy. Would come back.

One of my favorite things to do is enjoy a cup of cortado along with delicious food, and this place has plenty of opportunities. Today, I enjoyed a cheddar and scallion scone. However, the avocado toast, the nutty cookies, the omelet, and the quiches are some of my favorite options here. The service is good and the space is nice with plenty of seats.

This is such a great place. Remember Le Pain Quotidien? That's what this establishment is, but nicer! Just add a little greenery and flowers - and some cool china, and you feel like you are home. What a delightful place to have breakfast, I must say. We met with our friend and got coffee, croissants, and eggs! We were all so happy with the food that it made us in such a great mood. Everyone was thrilled with their experience. You order at the counter, they give you a number for the table and then they bring the dishes to you! Check out any of their locations; they are all so good.

I love the atmosphere. It's like a cozy kitchen. I especially love the cute crockery. The matcha latte is great. And I really enjoyed my overnight oats that came with a raspberry sauce.

Great cafe with lots of tables inside which is amazing. They have a really good selection of all standard drinks as well as a specials menu. I got the cardamom bun latte and I absolutely loved it. My friend got the regular latte, and it was also really nice. Great place to sit and have coffee or even take out. Although it does tend to get slightly noisy inside.

Decent spot for brunch perhaps if you got at the right time. We got there at a busy time and service seemed busy everywhere else except our table. We had an omelette and the eggs ratatouille. Can't say anything bad but there also was not anything special. I was interested in trying a pastry or other dessert but was really turned off by the service and just wanted to leave. I don't mind trying to stop in again for a pastry to go but would not bother trying to dine in again.

    Jessica H.

Was here recently for a work breakfast, around 9am. Got a table easily but the room quickly filled up. We each had a Papa's Breakfast Bowl -- some substitutions and ingredients taken out were allowed, although they messed that up upon arrival (was quickly solved, though). The bowl had good taste and I enjoyed mixing all the ingredients together. I wouldn't mind coming back in the future, but just wouldn't be my first choice. Keep in mind there is no wifi and we got in trouble for taking a laptop out. The server was nice about it but this is not ideal for remote workers! Design touches were nice with a French/American vibe and overall the place was clean.

They carry a pretty wide variety of Asian flavor-inspired breads, pastries, cakes and cookies, including buns and some more dessert-type items. I checked out Progreso for an event this past weekend and ended up buying a few items to go: - matcha marble sponge cake $4.49: was fluffy, light and moist, good flavor of matcha and a light schmear of whipped cream in the middle. Would get this again! - taro cream puff $6.50: this was taro paste (? not sure if that's fully accurate though it felt more consistency of soft whipped taro than a traditional pastry cream) with whipped cream on top sandwiched by what I believe was choux pastry with craquelin. I think maybe because the this was sitting chilled/refrigerated for a while the top craquelin layer wasn't quite crispy anymore, though it looked nice. Personally it was a bit too much regular whipped cream, would've preferred more of a taro pastry cream. - mango pudding with fresh mango $6.50 mango flavor in the pudding was light though it was a nice tease of flavor. The texture was on the firmer side for puddings. The mangos were a bit oxidized though tasted ok, maybe glaze them or do something to maintain the color? Since this is a pretty new spot hope they could make a few improvements and blow it out of the park! I appreciated the owners' enthusiasm for sharing about their shop.

Food-wise, everything impressed us. I ordered the pistachio croissant, while my companions got the gochujang hot chicken sandwich and the breakfast sandwich. The chicken sandwich was especially memorable--unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My pistachio croissant was also great; personally, I might have preferred a little less pistachio cream or a more textured filling like almond paste, but that's purely a preference. It was still excellent. The service really stood out. They were quick, friendly, and incredibly accommodating--one of my companions accidentally dropped their sandwich, and the staff replaced it free of charge without hesitation. Flavorful lemongrass chicken + appetizing pickled carrot + fresh, crunchy sliced cucumber laid on a blanket of fluffy white rice. All the ingredients went well together. This is something I would definitely buy for lunch/dinner if this item ever gets added to the menu in the future. I ordered a hot Vietnamese Cloud Coffee, a new drink on the menu. My first time actually ordering a hot drink from Tea & Milk. Usually go for the iced drinks but I was feeling quite cold. So, I needed something hot to hold in my hands. Vietnamese Cloud Coffee - Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) is made with egg yolks + Vietnamese coffee powder. Lastly, it's lightly sweetened with condensed milk to give off an all-around creamy texture and taste similar to tiramisu. Something created with such simple ingredients yet could feel so soothing at the same time. A hot coffee-based drink on a cold, rainy day is like a snuggly hug. Staff called out your name when it was ready for pickup. Love starting my day off with the strong flavor of Vietnamese coffee! By far, this might actually be the best tasting Vietnamese coffee I have had in all my years. And, I'm usually not a coffee person either. Didn't taste watered down and/or heavily sweetened at all. Everything's just right. Definitely would be going back next time for other coffee/fruit tea drinks.

First time trying tea and milk. I ordered the iced ceremonial strawberry matcha tea latte with oat…read moremilk. The strawberry puree adds a kick to the matcha. Different than the one that I have tried! I did not have to wait long to get my drinks after ordering which is always a plus!
