    Cute decorations downstairs near restrooms

This place is solid. It's not 100% authentic but it's also much more healthy and fresh than I expected. It feels like an idealistic college student who loves the movie Amelie went to France and decided to bring their doey-eyed experience back to the states. Everything about the location is fun, clean, bright, and open (versus the reality of tightly packed, dimly lit, and sometimes gritty cafes in France). The food is consistent, very fresh, with customizable and healthy options, like buckwheat flour, fresh vegetables, and lemon honey instead of sugar. Even the basement bathroom has that vibe, from bright colors in the "underground cave" seating to beautiful framed photos/posters and thematic wallpaper, to the way too clean, way too spacious restrooms with full sized changing tables! It's like Paris but nice, for Americans!!! Service was fantastic, everything came out quickly, and they've got good mid-week discounts that could definitely appeal to families and students. It doesn't feel like a street vendor or a real cafe, but I wouldn't hesitate to come again for a fresh, healthy meal or snack--or when those crepe cravings hit and you need a fix now!

Delicious freshly prepared with high quality ingredients. As I debated sweet or savory I went the healthier route with the Amelie crepe. It had fresh spinach, goat cheese, mushroom and basil pesto. Light and savory.

It's like if the lunch lady at your middle school said, let's have crepe day, but didn't know how to make crepes and it just tasted and looked like school cafeteria food.

There's an exciting new restaurant that recently opened on the corner of Lexington and 70th Street: Blenoir French Creperie and Cafe! In addition to their delicious savory and sweet crepes, they also have delicious gelato. While there are many coffee shops and bakeries in the neighborhood of the upper east side, I don't know of any places to get a homemade crepe!

Try the CREME DE MARRONS and it's not bad. The crepe dough is a on the soft side. I prefer more texture on the crepe. Staffs are very friendly It's good place having a quick bite or breakfast.

This is probably the most exciting thing to happen in the Upper East Side in a long time! The crepes and galettes are INCREDIBLE! Prices are pretty comfortable. The food portion is VERY filling! The service was very friendly and courteous. Definitely give this place a try!

Chocolate with blueberries and walnuts. AMAZING!

Fantastic gelato near Times Square broadway district. Perfect for after a show!…read more We sampled a lot of the flavors and they were all very good but the three best for us were strawberry, chocolate, and pistachio. They taste like they use real flavoring and not artificial flavors. Some of the white chocolate flavors are a bit overly sweet for me but that's how real white chocolate is to me as well so all the flavors are pretty spot on.

This review is for the Anita Gelato located in the Theater District (there is more than one)…read more There are many flavors to pick from. The way the containers are sold is what they call a regular, medium and large. We did see cones as well, but we were offered prices for the contaibners, so we went with that. You can have one or two flavors in the regular, up to three flavors in the medium and up to four flavors in the large container. Or, you can have just one flavor - up to you. Note to keep in mind: Gelato melts fairly quickly, so if you select flavors like chocolate, mango, and strawberry mascarpone and ricotta in the same container, you are going to have a gastro-nightmare in your mouth! Therefore, I recommend you select flavors that have similar ingredients or are complimentary in some way. As an example, we got the dark chocolate, the hazelnut mousse and chocolate crunch, and the stracciatella. Our favorite was the dark chocolate (plain). The hazelnut mousse was too grainy and sweet for our liking. The stracciatella was nice, but lacked depth of flavor to the gelato overall. Staff will let you try samples on a small spoon if you are undecided. The line can be long (out onto the side walk) to get in, and there are very few tables. So, when you make your order unless you are there on a "down time" be prepared to walk and eat your gelato (another reason to keep in mind the flavors in case of drips on your clothes)! The scoop is served standing up in the container. After the adjacent theaters let out, the line is long. We got a regular size container and with the tax and tip it was just a little over $11. The regular size container is suited to one person. The medium can potentially serve two people if you share "nicely" with each other! They also sell yogurt and coffee drinks. We were in town just for a few days, so we only tried three flavors, but if we were back in the area again, we would try some of the fruit-flavors they sell. Enjoy!

But the taste is great, the portions are huge, and it's definitely worth it! Pistachio: The pistachio flavor is very strong, even a bit salty. Those who like it will love it, while those who don't might find it strange--for example, my dad thought it tasted like salted fish. No Sugar Added Hazelnut: The best of the bunch. The nutty and creamy aroma of hazelnuts is rich, and because no sugar is added, it's not too sweet. A pure yet exquisite flavor. Strawberry Mascarpone & Ricotta: Amazing! It tastes like strawberry cheesecake! The perfect amount of cheese, combined with the refreshing strawberry jam, is simply wonderful. Cranberry: A very simple fruit sorbet. Most people might find it too sour, but for someone like me who loves sour flavors and had just eaten in Thai restaurant like Tha Phraya, it was perfect. Refreshing, natural, and helps cut through the greasiness.

I settled on the pistachio creme brulee (one flavor). It was a creme brulee base with pistachios mixed in. The texture was a little more liquidy than what I expect from gelato. The southern cannoli had good quality chocolate chips, smooth paste, and crunchy shell but was lacking an extra oomph that could have been provided with some citron in the recipe. The blueberry cheesecake flavor was tasty and actually tasted like blueberries, but the fig was so mild that I could barely taste it. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the condition of the shop.
