    hazelnut praline latte

ordered this seasonal drink -- hazelnut praline latte -- i got it less sweet and thought it was really yummy! service was quick too. it wasn't too sweet and had an authentic, homemade hazelnut flavor, not like the torani coffee syrup most cafes sell. i always think the prices here are a bit steep but they're consistent and i like that their flavors are made in house

Wow what a cute little cafe. The coffee was really good. I got a caramel latte with oat milk. I didn't like that there was an up charge for milk alternative though. The cashier had the typical gen z stare kind of service. There was more personality from the barista. The Nutella beignet was filling and not overly sweet. I definitely will be coming back.

It's a very small interior, just a few tables and very claustrophobic. I placed an order at the counter for a caprese sandwich. It took about 15 minutes for them to make it because there were two orders before mine. There's nowhere to wait for your food order. No matter where you wait, you're in the way. The caprese was warm, cut in two, tasted really fresh and incredible, and felt like a good value despite the $14 price tag. The pastry selection was pretty decent, and everything looked fresh and neatly arranged. The cashier seemed like she hated her job. If you wanna see some happy employees, go to Tatte!

Cute little coffee shop and bakery with a variety of yummy treats and beverages options. Arrived and was greeted and helped promptly. I ordered a cappuccino and their famous chocolate cookie. Both were delicious! Perfect place to sit and relax and unwind with yummy treats!

didn't know it was petite when i walked in... but got the overnight oats & honeycomb latte! sad it was premade & the seeds in the latte were kinda weird. but it was a fine experience, would love to give it another try.

Besides the prices (which I'm sure are pretty much standard for DC, I'm just unused to the exorbitant prices here as a tourist) I have zero complaints. I got the everything croissant sandwich and it was divine. You can definitely taste the quality in each ingredient, especially the salmon, and the flavors mesh together beautifully. It's also clearly freshly made which just makes it a practically perfect croissant sammie. Also grabbed the cinnamon bun kouign maman as an impulse purchase and did not regret it at all. I went late in the day so I didn't expect it to be very fresh, but it was still soft and flaky which was a sweet surprise. You can taste the buttery richness but you can't feel it -- wildly delicious. The decor is a bit gaudy, but they pull it together nicely and the muted colors make it much less offensive to the eye and probably a very chill environment to do some work in. But the dishes are the star of the show anyway so I would suggest sitting down and eating there just to get a look at some of their gorgeous plates!

    The Katie and hot chocolate

The Katie and hot chocolate were delicious and the costumer service was great! The workers were very helpful and quick to serve us our food.

Wow wowee wow wow wow. Just 2 reviews but this place deserves the 5 star rating! We came here yesterday morning for pastries and they did not disappoint. We got an apple jam cupcake with chai frosting, ham and cheese croissant, like this croissant cylinder with vanilla cream on top, as well as a small coffee. Everything was wonderful and tasty. We returned again today after trying out un je ne sais quois and being thoroughly disappointed by their stale selection. This time we got 2 pistachio croissants to go (a popular item they said), a square croissant, and a cream filled croissant, and a honeycomb croissant. Can't wait to try them out!!!! Also, apparently saints get their pastries here? Tmi but I asked a customer that was leaving the shop if they had a pad and they didn't but lived nearby and ran back across the street to give me some. I guess you are what you eat cuz she is so good. Shout out to the kind young lady with the curly hair who helped out a woman in need!

Love their vegan options (croissants, carrot cake, etc)! Pretty good coffee and matcha lattes too. The prices are pretty standard for coffee shops/bakeries of this kind. This particular location is small, and only really has seating outside, compared to other Maman spots like Navy Yard. I've found the service to be friendly at all locations. Overall I'm glad this chain expanded to DC!

Was in DC and wanted to get some pastries and noticed that there is now a petite maman near Dupont?! The place is definitely more of a pickup and go but they do have a small amount of seating both inside and outside. When I got inside, I was captivated by the pistachio croissant holiday tree. I asked the person working what it was and he was unsure and there was also no sign around it saying what it was and what was inside (which I thought was a little odd). He was able to ask another worker and then when I heard pistachio croissant, I decided I wanted to get it. The croissant was delicious but this is definitely a pastry I would share/split with someone. The croissant itself is flaky and soft and the inside is filled with pistachio cream. I wished that the cream had a bit more pistachio flavor but it seemed to have a bit of an almond flavor as well which kind of over powered the pistachio flavor. Overall, would like to come back to try some other pastries as they have a WIDE selection and also their coffee!!

They are open until 1 PM on Saturdays, we reached at around 11:30 AM and I was half hoping for them to be out of most items. Fortunately, even though they were super packed, we were able to find all of the items we were looking for - thanks to the hard working staff as they continue to make their pastries until closing - unlike so many other bakeries these days that make a certain amount and call it a day! Now to the food, everything we had was absolutely phenomenal! I am not a donut person but I loved theirs as they were very flavorful and weren't too sweet. I definitely prefer their Ube and Pandan over the Black sesame donut. The Matcha chocolate croissant and the Ube Kouign Amann were my favorites of the bunch! It must be said that I received the items cold and tasted them cold and reheated. Matcha Chocolate Twice Baked croissant - 6/10 - this rating is about my personal taste, not the quality of the croissant. I'm sure this is a matcha lovers dream and I was impressed by how much filling was in the croissant, especially considering the filling didn't affect the texture of the bread. This was good cold but even better reheated. Bread still had a crunch and the filling consistency was great, but again just not my thing. Strawberry milk - 10/10 - can I curse real quick ? £#%K this was delicious. I could put this filling on just about anything and be satisfied. It was rich but not overly sweet and paired really well with the pastry. I do not know how they manage to have the pastry keep its shape with the amount of filling they're putting inside but I appreciate it. The pastry has a great bite to it and the pearls and frosting adding a slight contrast to the texture was needed because too much of one texture creeps me out. I took a look at their menu and absolutely want to try their cookies the mango sweet tart, and the Ube Cheese Kouign Amann so I will be back !

Chicken pita was good, a bit heavy on the parsley but loved the dressing. Tuna sandwich was a hit. Pastries are always good. My pistachio latte was chewy bc it had grainy bits of pistachio in it. I had absolutely no plans on buying or eating cake that day, but as a cake lover stuff happens. It was such a cute building the pastries had to be everything! It turned out to be the perfect stop. 1. The looks The building itself is so cute on the outside, and being a fan of the color pink, it instantly caught my attention. Inside, it feels less like a fast, high volume bakery and more like an intimate cake boutique. It gives small town where the owners know you by your first name. You can feel that real love was put into the space and the baking. Tasted like every ingredient was hand mixed, every cake hand frosted, and every cookie carefully hand scooped. They even served my slice of coconut cake on a real plate, which was such a cute, bourgeois touch that I loved. 2. Service The hospitality here is top-notch. On my first visit, yes you heard me! Lol! The gentleman Eric who rang me up was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different cookie and cake flavors. I ended up returning the very next day, and although he wasn't there, the other two staff members working which included Mikaela were absolutely delightful and so kind. The young lady told me her daughter loves the carrot cake as well and Mikaela said they started working there because they loved the patties so much! 3. The Cakes -Coconut Cake: This slice was so delicious, fluffy, and airy that it instantly reminded me of being a kid at holiday family meals with a fresh coconut cake on the table. -Carrot Cake: It was everything you want a carrot cake to be. It was nice and dense yet soft, with a pleasant texture from the added fruits. Definitely noticed pineapple bits! The cream cheese frosting wasn't overly thick and was so good you could eat it completely by itself. -Strawberry Cupcakes: I stole a small bite of my son's. unfortunately, this one was my least favorite. The frosting had a little chemical taste to it but it was a super cute cupcake. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! If you are in the DC area or planning a trip there soon, check this spot out. It truly feels like a mom and pop or pop and pop boutique. Not a bakery but a BOUTIQUE! Check them out! Tell them Anisha from Milwaukee sent you! (Not that they'd remember it just sounds cute!)

I was so excited to try some of these harder to find pastries. I had a Turkish beef börek and a cheese finger börek. They warmed them up for me, but they still weren't very warm - I'd probably ask for them to warm them up twice next time. The beef börek was good; the cheese finger börek was good, too, if maybe a teensy bit dry. I also got one of their signature coffees. While these coffees sound interesting and delicious and creative, I wish there an option or two that weren't as sweet. I tried the Sultan's Velvet, which was just way too sweet for me. Next time, I'll stick to a classic coffee - an americano or a cappuccino - since they have it all. There's quite a bit of seating - some downstairs, some upstairs, and some outside. I sat down and read my book while I enjoyed my pastries. It's definitely the kind of place that is comfortable to sit and enjoy. The customer service was friendly and fast. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by Caspian Crust. Georgetown is lucky to have several pastry shops/bakeries, but Caspian Crust is different and stands out. Its focus on Turkish and Azerbaijani pastries means that there's something for everyone - some classics for those folks who like what they like with their coffee, more savory pastries with meat or cheese or olives, and some sweet but less common pastries as well. Great flavors and variety. It's also cozy, comfortable, and casual, with good customer service. I'd be happy to return.
