Ugh these are so, so good. Soft, pillowy, not-overly-sweet dough deliciousness. I used to stop by to grab a bag of these all the time whenever they were by my office, but have had the restraint to stay away for the past few months for my waistline's sake. The apple cider and the red velvet are delicious. You can also pick dipping sauces (caramel, chocolate, cream cheese) to go with them! These donuts are amazing!! I had the apple cider flavored donuts. They were fresh out of the fryer, rolled in cinnamon sugar and simply delicious. I split 6 with a friend of mine and ate them quickly. I ended up going back to purchase 6 more and probably would have ordered more if I weren't attempting to cut back on sweets. The second time around I tried the caramel sauce which took the donuts from amazing to mind blowing. I love these donuts! I have only tried the Dutch chocolate, but they were amazing. I love that they have the different toppings (powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, caramel, and homemade raspberry jam) all laid out so you can top your donuts as you like. Definitely delicious! wow...one of the best mini donuts I had. My fav is the red velvet donut with the white cream... TRUST ME...it's worth everything. You can get 6 mini donuts for three donats...But the flavors always changes. So I have to wait until my fav flavor comes up on the upcoming week. I wish he can make all diff types flavors everyday. I should have written this review ages ago. These mini donuts are like heaven in a bag. My favorite is by far the apple cider cinnamon which always goes perfectly with a nice cup of coffee. I used to work in Rosslyn and rarely was I ever able to pass up a bag whenever I got my morning Starbucks. Once I changed jobs I walked a mile out to their truck so that I could share this amazingness with my new coworkers. I've been trying to ignore this bright pink truck for some time now. I walk past it when I fetch my cup 'o joe on certain mornings. The smell emanating from the truck is so freaking inviting! I have will power though so I've never stopped to buy any doughnuts myself...HOWEVER; my co-worker brought these little round pillows of deliciousness into the office, that jerk! Oh my goodness! I don't always eat sweets, but when I do, I tend to go a little cray-cray (sugar high :)). The little doughnuts were still warm, soft and yummy. They are plain but you can choose different topping sauce. Absolutely amazing... Just like the donuts I used to get from the cider mills in Michigan.... Now if only they started selling cider, I wouldn't crave a trip back home each fall. The weather was pretty dreary today and mostly everyone at work was acting accordingly, until around am when suddenly there was this weird giddiness spreading around.. It spread eventually to my office when I saw my coworkers grab their purses and umbrellas running out the door with a backward shout of "the donut truck is here!". It was raining hard but that could not deter my formidable colleagues from acquiring apple cider donuts from Mama's and bestowing upon me this, still warm, mid morning treat. I poured myself a cup of coffee and commenced this much anticipated meeting of donut and tired employee. I thoroughly enjoyed it. They're called "holes" insinuating that they will fit daintily into your mouth, they don't. That certainly didn't stop me from shoving one into my mouth with as much grace as a snake eating a baby deer. Super professional as always. It was surprisingly airy and not as dense as other donuts can be. So it wasn't heavy sitting after wards, which is why I liked them so much. They are generously rolled in sugar which I was more than happy to lick off my fingers. I am excited to try the other flavors and get them hot. read more
