They made our food on the spot, we took it to go. It was still hot when we got home. I got the #9 combo small platter and my husband got the #7 chicken schwarma plate. We also got a side of grape leaves. Everything is so good. I wanted to try the different meats and wasn't disappointed by any of it! Hummus is sublime, roasted veggies, rice, pita bread, all of it delicious. The small was enough for both of us to have another meal as leftovers. Please go visit this place if you like Mediterranean food. I'd hate to see it close, it was empty inside except for another group of 2 taking their food to go as well (it was also Valentine's day but still). After reading other reviews I was shocked that there was no one else there at 5pm on a weekday. I expected it to be out the door, and after eating there, it should be. I can't say enough about the flavor and texture of the meats, delicious. I wasn't into the salad because the dressing has no flavor at all, basically just tasted like oil. A clean Armenian / Mediterranean restaurant it's family owned. Came in with my wife as she wanted to eat some kafta kabobs and I ordered the chicken shawarma looks like a lot of locals come in to pick up their orders. Food was delicious and flavorful they do not cook unless you order what you want so it gets hot and mouth watering. The only takeaway is they don't have air conditioning so it's warm inside but cold outside because we came in the month of January. read more

Mama's Kabab is a family-owned restaurant stationed in a decent strip mall. The place has a cafeteria feel to it, nothing fancy, there is a TV on the wall on mute. The service is great and friendly. The front desk takes your order and delivers it to your table. We see many takeout orders, or small groups of friends and family getting together for a casual meal. Hope the couple who run it hang in there, their food has a home-made quality, it is the only place where the kababs are authentic, really tender, cooked to perfection and the lamb shank does not smell strange. I had the chicken kabob plate and the chicken kabob sandwich/wrap and it always hits. Garlic sauce is a must. Hummus was good for dipping chicken and pita bread in. Pickled veggies gave the meal a nice acidic component. The chicken sandwich had fresh lettuce and onions and tomatoes with garlic sauce. The service however and the cleanliness was not of the top tier. Couple months back, we noticed how the older man behind the counter was adding a dollar here, and a dollar there on our bill. We didn't think much of it then and just thought it was maybe because we wanted no rise or because we decided to eat there and not to go. So we never said anything. The rag they use for the tables was soaked and just laying next to the soda machine. Waiting to be used over and over on different tables. This made us uncomfortable so we wiped our own table before siting down. A couple months later and we are back. Same thing again. It clearly said 10.99 for a plate that we ordered and 1.99 for 2pc baklava on the board behind him. I paid just to see later that he up charged us again. So when we asked he said no it's tax. People were waiting in line and I didn't want to make a 'scene'. So I just shook my head and sat back down. It cleared says on the receipt what was charged and how much and tax on top of that. So annoyed and frustrated that he did that and we even tipped a good 20% made me loose my appetite. Food came out and we ended up taking it with me home. The food here is good. I used to come here since 2017 for Mediterranean food because it was really good back then and it was accessible. However, the old man can ruin your experience. He was getting frustrated and raising his voice, pointing to my phone and flinging his arms about how he didn't understand the DoorDash order I placed and insisted that I contact DoorDash myself in front of many other customers in line. While the lady who was working with him apologized instead of him, I still had to deal with the public humiliation and also had to pay the difference between the price discrepancy displayed on their DoorDash and their menu.
