Sausage gravy eggs and home fries.

Consistently good food. Sometimes there is a small wait to get a table, the counter if fine also. M breakfast is usually my go to but in my last visit I got the club sandwich which was toasty and delicious goodness. Friendly service. Clam chowder was also delicious. I wish they would get a better ketchup or I just skip the fries.

I've heard only good things about this place. We finally went and tried it but sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Nothing was bad or gross but it just wasn't that good. It seemed like the ingredients were on the lower side and everything is served on plastic dishes. I had the meatloaf and it was okay, I've had much better elsewhere. Reasonable prices but the portions are on the lighter side. Service was okay, we didn't go without. I would just choose a fresher place.

This is still a great place to enjoy a meal. You may have to wait a few minutes for a seat on weekend breakfast/brunch but the service is on point. They really hustle! We very much enjoy the food there. Today I tried the Garbage Omelette with a side of sausage patties. All good! Its's crowded, it can be a bit loud, but it is clean and the folks are very nice. I still recommend.

This is the first time visiting this spot. My sister and I are always looking for good breakfast spots. I goggle for breakfast spots around me and this one came up had real good reviews. It was definitely worth all the hype the food was amazing the service was good and it was nice and quiet in there our waitress was amazing.. I hate I didn't get her name so I could give her props. The coffee also was amazing and they had the cheapest coffee around. This is our new spot we will be back.

The service and food is too notch here! The breakfast here is hands down the best breakfast I've had in Toledo! The food comes out hot and the portions are large! The coffee was even a tad on the strong side too which made this place perfect. They even offer their homemade beans to everyone! It's the perfect diner with great food, never a warm/cold cup of coffee since there's someone walking around with a fresh pit every 5 minutes and smiling service! Great spot for breakfast!

Homemade Corned beef hash scrambled eggs

I've been seeing this place on facebook and have been meaning to try it for a few years. Excellent breakfast choices. I enjoyed the homemade corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, and rye toast. The service was friendly and fast. I might even give it 5 stars next time if I sit in the main dining area. Don't get sat in the old garage. It's a little odd and cramped.

Grilled cheese with tomato and fries
    Jeffery S.

I ordered the side salad with ranch, cheese quesadilla, veggie soup, and grilled cheese with a tomato and fries. The cheddar-only quesadilla struck me as an odd choice, and overall, the food was quite mediocre.. likely due to the use of low-quality ingredients. The plasticware gave the meal a 'lunch lady' vibe, which unfortunately matched the experience.

    Full order of French toast

My family loves mamas kitchen! The food is wonderful and tasty! The waitress are so sweet and thoughtful I spent my birthday with them last year and I got a free cake slice. They always strive to have wonder service they deserve a 5 star every time. I've only had my order wrong one time and they fixed it immediately.

The meal I ordered. Coffee was strong and I had to add two sugars

Food was good! I ordered my old standby of comfort food although there were several different ones I could have chose from this is what I decided to have today and I was not disappointed except for it wasn't an open faced hot roast beef sandwich meal usually open face means you don't have another slice of bread on top and the bread was thick so it was a lot of carbs and I stupidly ordered mac and cheese as a side which is more carbs! Lol ..The mac and cheese was all right it wasn't real creamy like I'm used to it was just OK to me. The Mama beans they come free with your meal if you want it I didn't care for those because I don't like kidney beans it was a mix of like a couple different beans with a little piece of sausage and some onions in it.... it tastes good but they're not baked beans not in the sense that I know of baked beans it was very soupy like texture the flavor again was good as was the mac and cheese flavor. The overall meal I give it a thumbs up I did not have to wait for a table this place is usually jam-packed especially on the weekends and now I can see why!

Driving up I didn't realize they had a drive thru so this place became very convenient for me. They had a great menu focused on Chicago's beef sandwich and man was it delicious. Chicago Food? That literally could mean anything! BUT…read more.. IMO, "Chicago Food" especially means deep dish pizza, Chicago dogs, Chicken Vesuvio, and ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES! It means a few other things too, but these top my personal list. Chicago Post Cafe does at least two of these items very well. Today, I had the Italian Beef Sandwich with hot peppers and marinade on the side. Although hard to eat (the damned things falls apart too easily), it was fantastic. I've had more than a few of these, in Chicago none the less, and this version is honestly one of the best. It's better than Portillo's, and almost as good as Johnie's. Choose your peppers...hot, mild, and/or sweet! Plan to use your fingers to get what falls off the roll, because you won't want to waste a single morsel. Drink the marinade/dip while you're at it. The menu is pretty extensive, and breakfast seems to be featured. I saw another customer's plate, and her bacon, eggs, and pancake looked incredible. The place is small and a little tight, but you can eat in-house. Only one table seats more than 2. Service was fast and friendly. Very friendly. Yeah, I am remiss. I really should be eating here more often. Strictly breakfast and lunch. 5 stars for now.

I had no idea this was such a hidden gem and have to share my experience! Upon walking to the entrance, I saw a cozy lounging area just outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and also soaked in the artsy and upbeat atmosphere inside. It was so unique in a very great way... artwork everywhere and lots of seating possibilities. For some reason, I expected ready-made sandwiches but learned that everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness. The two staff members couldn't have been more welcoming as they introduced me to the DaCapo Coffee family. There is also a location in Lambertville, MI - a sister location in Bedford Township by the same owner. I am sorry to admit that I'm one of those people who tends to special order. I decided on the roasted turkey club but didn't want bacon or mayo, nor did I want the croissant. They were very accommodating and made the the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. It was also approximately 5:00pm and I was the only customer but I appreciated their flexibility. I took a seat at one of the tables while I waited for my to-go order and admired the cool wood on the tables. It was a reasonable time before my sandwich was ready and the gentleman who made it carried it out to me in a paper bag. As I left DaCapo, I kept thinking about its very artsy, comfortable and positive vibe. Plus, I enjoyed half of my sandwich once home- excellent quality and delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee and energy drinks. Absolutely check out this place. It was so refreshingly alive and relaxing at the same time!! Check out the pictures!

YES!!!!! Finally,…read moreafter nearly 10 years living back in Toledo, this place has opened! Real NYC-style chicken and rice. If you ever lived in NYC you know what I'm talking about. This is the real deal. The guy who runs it used to run a deli in Brooklyn. Toledo has plenty of good Lebanese shawarma platters, but this is a different category. Nothing else scratches the itch. They upped their price to about $15, but when they did that they increased the portion size and included a drink and a bag of chips for free, so I think it's still a pretty good deal. Often they'll mix in some fries with the platter, too. As well as lettuce, tomatoes, and grilled onions and peppers. And they have Vernors, which you can't usually get at NYC halal trucks. So it's almost like NYC-Detroit fusion, the best of both worlds LOL! I haven't tried the rest of their menu much. I tried a lemon chicken sandwich once, and it was not on par with the ones that I've from the better delis in Harlem and The Bronx. It was kind of soggy and salty. I might try more of the subs at some point, but I really think of this as a one dish place for now, in spite of their long menu. I think it's hard to express just how happy I am to have this place a short drive from me. The cost to obtain one of my favorite foods from my home in Toledo went down from about $500 and several hours of travel (the price of a round-trip flight to LaGuardia plus one night in a hotel in Queens) down to about $15 and a 10 minute drive.
