This was an average Italian restaurant that we came to while visiting Glacier National Park in August. My husband and I had not done indoor dining through a lot of the pandemic but we had no choice to while in Whitefish, as the town is experiencing a big labor shortage, and most restaurants did not offer takeout. With that, there was also a long wait for a table on a Thursday night around 7:30pm. We were told it would be a 50 minute wait for a table for two, but ended up being able to sit within 20 minutes, which was lucky as we'd done a long hike that day and were starving. We were seated at a table on the ground floor of the dining room. The inside of the restaurant is cosy and rustic. Our server was friendly and efficient. My husband and I shared some arancini as an appetizer and each had two pastas. We could easily have shared one pasta as the portion sizes were giant. The pastas were just okay, and nothing amazing. I had the fettucine lulubella, which had peas in it, and obviously wasn't very traditional. The sauce was very creamy and on the heavier side. We each ordered a pretty hefty entree and got take out due to COVID19 restrictions, which was fine by us. We found the whole ordering online process super simple. Made a reservation same night and was seated very closely to the time. All staff members wore appropriate masks. There's an endless flow of delicious Parmesan and garlic bread!! Be careful not to fill yourself on it because I admit it was that good that you can't help yourself. We were unsure of the wine and the server, Ben, provided us a small sample for us! My friend ordered the Linguine Arranbiata and I ordered the Pasta Ravenna. My dish was creamy and full of rich flavor. For the dollar point, you will have plenty of leftovers to take home. This review is overdue. We visited in mid July. This restaurant is amazing! Ashley, our server, was incredible! She was sweet, quick, efficient and the nicest woman. My mom and I were visiting from Philly and she made us feel right at home. We even came here 2 nights during our visit . The food is really good and the garlic bread that comes before the meal is savory! I hope to visit Whitefish again and will absolutely come back. Service is horrible. We've been here for an hour and 45 minutes and still do not have our dinner. When the food arrived it was at room temperature. The Vodka sauce is out of a jar. The Caesar dressing tasted like ranch dressing. The food is not at all authentic. It was obvious that the waiter and staff intentionally delayed our food in an attempt to pad the bill. This place is fantastic! It's always very busy every single night. The first night we tried to get in around 7:30 pm with a party of 5 and we were told that there would be a 30 min wait. We came back the next day around the same time and they were able to seat us immediately. The hostess and waiters were very friendly and the food had pretty sizable portions and very reasonable prices. Their garlic bread was incredible and did a good job of appeasing the appetite of hungry hikers before the entrees were ready. Most of the restaurants are clustered around a specific area in downtown, so this restaurant is about a 5 minute walk away from that area. Parking is definitely hit or miss, so I would allot a bit of time before you want to eat to make sure that you can find parking. My only complaint is that it gets a little bit noisy because of all of the people, but that's really a sign that they're popular. Would definitely go again. read more

Solid Italian spot! I was recommended this restaurant by a friend who recently visited Whitefish. I don't love Italian food (weird, I know) but decided to give it a shot. The bread they bring you is amazing! It has garlic oil and it's delish! We shared a salad (the one with huckleberry) and the sun dried tomato pasta with chicken on the side and replaced broccoli with artichoke hearts. The salad is a pass - tasteless. We were staying overnight in Kalispell and a family member who used to live there suggested a short drive to Whitefish to eat here. Glad we made the short drive as it was well worth it. The food and service here were first rate. We started with the yummy garlic bread (lots of garlic there). We had the Huckleberry vinaigrette on our salads which was really yummy. Around the table we had spaghetti and meatballs, pasta ravena, and one of the big salads with grilled chicken. Everything was declared delicious but the pasta ravena was amazing! My aunt thought it was "one of the best things" she had ever eaten. Cody our server was very sweet and all the wait staff pitched in to keep our water glasses topped off and the table clear. My friends and I went here for my birthday this last Saturday and while we all had a great time together over dinner the manager of this restaurant, Sara Dempsey, was incredibly rude and condescending. My friends had planned a surprise party and checked, and double checked, with the restaurant that we could celebrate and bring in a cake, as is typical birthday fashion. At the end of our dinner, as we were paying the bill, Sara came over to our table and said that they didn't allow outside drinks. When i told her it was a bottle of unopened wine that I received a a gift she then moved onto the restaurant not allowing outside food (ie the cake my friend got permission to bring) even though we purchased meals, drinks and dessert for all 8 of us from the restaurant. She finally ended this conversation by telling us to leave because they needed our table since we were no longer eating. Sara Dempsey is the rudest manager I have ever met. I understand that good employees are hard to find but that doesn't mean you should hire just anyone to run your establishment, especially someone who treats your patrons like this. The food was delicious and our waitress was extremely kind and provided wonderful service. This place was recommended to us by a friend, and after a week of exploring Glacier NP, the stars finally aligned so that we could grab dinner here. We were seated pretty quickly and placed our orders shortly after. The ambiance was warm and cozy. The food was great, but the service was not. Shortly after placing our order for drinks, an appetizer, and two entrees, it was radio silence. It wasn't necessarily an instance of our waitress being busy either because the couple that had been seated next to us around the same time had practically received white glove service! We were wearing hiking/athleisure attire, so maybe we looked like we didn't warrant their attention. Their food arrived well before ours, they were checked up on in regular intervals, and their water glasses were always kept full. Both our table and theirs were offered extra bread but ours never came. I am by no means someone who needs to be waited on hand and foot, but when our entrees came before our appetizer, there was hardly any acknowledgement. No checking to see how our food was. No updates on the appetizer. It felt like we were being purposely ignored. Meanwhile, our waitress regularly checked on the couple next to us and other tables. It wasn't until we finally got our appetizer that we were addressed. By then, we were finished with our entrees and had no interest in the appetizer. Our waitress arranged to have the appetizer removed from our bill, which we appreciated, and we received the check soon after. Overall, as I mentioned, the food was good, but with the way the service was, I doubt we will be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

Saturday night - around 7:30 pm, in the early part of June - not exactly the worst time of the year to walk-up without a reservation, but certainly not the best. The place was packed. We waited, with a bunch of other would-be diners for about 45 minutes - all the while, the host generously kept us updated on our expected table time and even got drinks we could enjoy on the porch area. Once we got inside, the loud noise, extended wait time, and crowded atmosphere was a bit too much for our 8-year old little girl. She was close to melt down. To the rescue - one of the best servers we have ever had. She saw the look on our little one and instantly brought out some pizza dough for her to form and model. She also made it a priority to take her order and get it into the kitchen toot suite. Oh my gosh, she was GREAT. Now to the food, its a bit of Italian-American-Cusine-Meets-Montana-Comfort-Food. I know that sounds weird, but it really works. I had a great carbonara (with GF pasta) that would make any Roman proud; and my wife enjoyed a "fantastic Cioppino stew" made with tomatoes and a variety of fish and shellfish featuring fresh Italian flavors. She loved it. The wine selection is good - but seems to be lacking a number of the listed bottles. Not to be deterred, the server worked through my meandering of the listing and helped to identified a great Brunello di Montalcino. This place to really great. Honestly, if you are in Whitefish and need a really decent place with amazing servers and staff - go. We will definitely be back. This place is extremely overrated. We went in yesterday for dinner and ordered pasta primavera. The pasta was over-cooked and breaking. Had no flavor, no salt, tasteless. Pasta that costs nearly 25 USD was not worth the price. The service was also very disappointing. We had ordered an appetizer that never showed up. We needed water refill but nobody showed up for more than 15 minutes. We requested for extra garlic bread and that came after we finished eating our entrees. We requested the waiter to give garlic bread to take home. He took it inside and wrapped up for us but when we came home and opened it, it was almost burnt and not edible. This is the worst italian place I have ever been to. Our server appeared to be high and behaving weirdly. There is a better Italian restaurant within walking distance where we went earlier. I would recommend that place instead of this overpriced, awful restaurant. read more
