It felt like I was at a family member home, its quaint and the furniture and fixtures were done by hand. It wasn't a wow moment for me but I will go back for that reason. The food taste as though it was home made. And I definitely appreciate that in this day in age

Just had the best Mexican food at Mamy's place right now. I had to leave a review because I hope everyone gets to try it! From the moment we walked in and were greeting by the sweet owner, we feel in love! I was craving filet diabla and usually I'm really underwhelmed because I love my diabla authentic and spicy. They did not disappoint! It was one of the best ever. My husband had the steak picado and he enjoyed it to the last bite! Delicious! Chips and Salsa were so yummy! The hard shell Asada taco was BOMB!! They have plenty was parking which is a plus! If you're looking for a great Mexican place, this is a must try!!

FOOD: The hard shell tacos were amazing! Three bucks is pretty pricey for a taco, but the flavors, crunch and love they put into them is amazing. The side of red salsa was flavorful and not too hot. Perfect, will be back here again. SERVICE: the older gentleman who took my order by phone and attended me when I arrived for pickup had a warm personable character that I appreciate in a host. It definitely has a cozy Mexican family vibe going on. PIX: Sorry no pix of tacos... I quickly gobbled them and only afterwards thought to post a review. PARKING: The store front is located off a busy street, but there is generous dedicated parking immediately adjacent to the store front.

If you want authentic Mexican cuisine I'm sure you would enjoy the food here. This place reminds me of a time that I went to Cobo San Lucas we took an off the resort scenic tour around town. Well our taxi.driver was really down to earth and he enjoyed us so much that he offered our group lunch at his mommas home. And this restaurant was warm and welcoming just like his mother's home. My order was Menudo and deep fried tilapia which includes rice and beans. My friend ordered chicken fajitas which also came with rice and beans with warm flour tortillas. OMG the horchata is a must try. I was craving a great Mexican lunch and they understood the assignment. My food was delicious A+. Nothing survived for leftovers.

This place was pretty good not too expensive. The staff were very kind and funny to talk to. You can definitely tell this restaurant has been around unchanged for years very vintage. Reminds me of an old diner in Mexico. The pineapple agua refresca was so refreshing although a bit on the sweet side. My party and I ordered the nachos, carne asada fries and quite a few tacos. I also ordered their $6 special where you get 2 tacos and a domestic beer (bud light) which is not too bad. Their regular tacos are $2 and I don't they have a taco Tuesday menu I think the $6 special is considered that but you can get it anytime. Although I did have a couple of notes the fish taco definitely a no go no seasoning and the fish fry seasoning was old so it didn't stick the fish and it tasted like it was fried in old grease. The shrimp taco as well had the same problem although I would say a red flag to me was that it seem like the shrimp taco was fried in the same old oil as the fish and most likely the same fish fry seasoning was used on it. Also the carne asada was lacking in flavor as well. The salsa they used were also a bit spicy. Overall the food was good not knock your socks off which is why I can't give it a 5/5. I think it's very good if you live close by but not worth a drive. Staff 5/5 Food 3.5/5 Restaurant 5/5 Price 4.5/5

We ended a 10-day trip from the east coast with a trip to Mamy's for dinner. Had LOTS of Mexican food over the time and Mamy's really hit the nail on the head with our chorizo torta and chicken fajitas in terms of taste. This is a VERY small space with the cook being the only English speaker at the time. A couple issues - the fajitas came with a HUGE portion of food, but only 2 tortillas and we were charged an extra $0.75 for 2 more tortillas (not a large charge but the initial 2 tortillas never could've sufficed for the amount of food given). We were then encouraged to pay with cash (luckily we had enough on us). And then... about an hour later, both of us had intestinal pain followed by several trips to the restroom - not a great way to end vacation. All in all - I will not be back to Mamy's due to the food causing digestive issues. There is a small parking lot next to the building.

The person who helped us the most was, Soky. He was absolutely great They are on the water with a nice view of the marina and you can sit here and do some boat watching (it's gorgeous if you come here during sunset) the outdoor seating is very spacious. They even have a second level for a rooftop outdoor view. I'd say more people like to eat outside here vs inside. -this place is used for a lot of private events. parking can get extremely crowded Also, this place can be extremely loud It's open seating and we ended up ordering outside for their bbq special they were having (we had to order the BBQ outside) and then you go to their serve your own water stations if you are just drinking water, like we were We got -pastrami fries 5/5 -pepperoni pizza 3/5 -BBQ special 5/5 -brownie caramel sundae 5/5 I'm not a beer person, but their beer menu is impressive. They have limited options when it comes to other alcohol. When it comes to the food menu, they have a bit of everything. They have a big selection of - small bites / appetizers. Which makes it perfect to share with friends. They have pizzas Burgers Seafood options Pastrami burgers and pastrami fries (their pastrami is a favorite here) Vegetarian options And, weekday specials I like the atmosphere. Just be prepared, it does get pretty noisy in here during the weekend at peak hours. They have TVs and just from the amount of people packed in here. The atmosphere inside also has a view of the water. It's just one big glass window. So you can see the outside view from inside They offer a military discount And WiFi

Horrible experience that ballast point tried to scrub this review. So Cliff notes:…read more Went for a beautiful lunch along the water one day with a friend. Upon walking in the host said we could sit anywhere but on this day, half of the restaurant was closed off for a party which was fine. We sat on the beautiful deck. The tables have QR codes which is fine but it does tie you to that table making it hard to change tables mid order (will get to this point in a minute). 10 minutes into sitting down, a patron walks by us and as he is next to our table he buckles over and throws up. It's like 1pm on a Wednesday mind you...this bro was being a messy ass queen and getting that drunk at 1pm on a Wednesday? Bro get yourself a wife. Anyways. By this point we had already ordered and since the QR code is attached to the table and since that's how we ordered, we had to wait for our food before being able to move tables. 10 minutes then 20 minutes go by and not a single employee has come by to clean up the vomit and it's right next to our table and in main walk way... After we got our food, we moved tables and ate. The food was just okay at best. Way too expensive for that's ballast point for you.

I've had my…read moreeye on The 4th Horseman for the longest time, so wifey and I finally made the trip to LBC to check it out. We parked at a garage at the City Place Shopping Center a block away that has free parking for the first two hours, so it's definitely worth it. There's also some street parking if you can find it, but keep it simple and park at the garage so you're not worrying about time. I've been told that they check parking at the Burger King next door, so don't park there. The 4th Horseman is located off of 4th St & Solana Ct. It's a 21 and over bar, so absolutely no kids allowed (completely heavenly to get away from screaming brats for a while). There's a small stage in front for when they have bands, trivia nights, comedy shows, movie nights, etc. There's bar seating and plenty of tables all throughout the joint, so if you don't readily find a spot to squat keep on walking and you'll find something. It's a full bar, so they have whatever's your poison. For food there's pizza (by the slice or full pies), calzone, salad, brussels sprouts, and sourdough knots. We kept it simple and had the Slasher Pizza (pepperoni) with a Basic Salad. We sat in the back past the bar, which is where they have a pool table and a bunch of arcades to kill some time. There's a self-serve water station, but if you need anything else just go to the bar and they'll be more than happy to help you out. The pizza and salad were pretty good! If you're more health-conscious, they have a lot of vegan options to choose from. If you don't care about that, the pizza slices are huge and have the perfect amount of grease while you're pounding drinks! Honestly, I'm a big fan of The 4th Horseman! Growing up a metalhead, the music and atmosphere are nice and cozy for me. The employees were all really nice, which is always a big plus when trying something new. My only regret was not grabbing some of their merch on my way out, but next time we make the trip I definitely will!

I love currywurst, the iconic German street food consisting of a grilled or fried pork sausage sliced into bite-sized pieces and topped with a curry ketchup sauce, typically served with fries or a bread roll. Having eaten plenty of currywurst throughout Germany, I can confidently say this is one of the better versions I've had in the U.S. The fries are excellent - crispy on the outside without being dry. The sausage has that satisfying "snap" when you bite into it, although I wish it had a bit more herbal seasoning and a richer, more savory interior. It's also slightly drier than my ideal version, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall, it's comforting, well-executed, and an easy recommendation if you've never tried currywurst before. BBB Burger - 4/5. I was pleasantly surprised by this burger. The combination of bacon, a juicy beef patty, blue cheese, and crispy shallots is a winner. The bold flavors complement each other surprisingly well without any single ingredient overpowering the others. There's also a nice contrast in textures: the crunch of the shallots, the tenderness of the beef patty, the crisp bacon, and the soft yet sturdy brioche bun all come together beautifully. The bun deserves special mention for holding everything together without becoming soggy. Homemade Apple Strudel - 3.5/5. Kudos to Rasselbock for serving the strudel with vanilla ice cream instead of overly processed whipped cream--it makes for a much better pairing. The apple filling strikes a nice balance, offering enough sweetness without becoming cloying. The blend of tart apples, warm spices, and buttery pastry creates a more nuanced and satisfying dessert. My only complaint is that I'd prefer the pastry to be a little thicker and flakier to provide more texture and contrast with the filling. Rasselbock Schnitzel - 4/5. The schnitzel is nicely breaded and fried, with a crisp, golden crust. I do wish the meat were a bit juicier, but the flavorful cream sauce helps compensate and pairs very well with the schnitzel. It's a satisfying, well-prepared dish that I'd happily order again. Lastly, they offer a solid selection of German and German-style draft beers, making this a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic German comfort food with a good pint. Overall, Rasselbock delivers a satisfying dining experience and is well worth a visit if you're craving German cuisine.
