I walked into Manan this afternoon with my daughter and 13 month old grandson. When I opened the door and saw the selection, I was speechless! They have so many different options and every single pastry, cookie, cake, cupcake, loaf of bread was gorgeous!! The place is spotless clean and I was blown away, honestly. I couldn't make up my mind but ended up with a slice of Red Velvet Cake which was delicious!! I could taste the quality ingredients- not too sweet, not commercial, but made with love!!! My daughter had a macaroon which she thought was awesome. We both had cappuccino and it was perfect! I requested decaffeinated and they were able to accommodate. So I was really excited to come here. I've been following them on insta, and looking at cakes for my wedding reception. I finally found time to get to that side of town, I arrived a little after 9am (when they open). I'll admit I was still in my pj's (I had an early vet appointment and it's my only day off), but I gotta say that the staff seemed pretty bothered that I was there (even though they open so late). I had been looking on their menu online and I knew what I wanted to order. I asked for a meat boat and 2 lamahjoon. Instead I got this other bread with cheese and eggs. That isn't what I asked for. I drove all the way home (tobl centennial) before I noticed that she had charged me and served me the wrong thing. My treatment by the staff may have had to do with what I was wearing, but I have the money to pay for my things. I may have been in pj pants and a tshirt, but I'm not dirty, or smelly, and I was still treated inappropriately (and sold something I didn't ask for). The food is good, but I won't be returning. I was craving cannolis so bad so I googled "best selling cannolis in the valley" and Carlos Bakery was the first thing that popped up. I tried Carlos Bakery when I was in Hoboken, so I wanted to try something new so this was next on the list. I ordered cannolis, a Napoleon cake, and a strawberry shortcake. The cannolis weren't the best though. The filling was really dense and it just made me really thirsty. I like Carlos cannolis better. Manan did have a better Napoleon cake though! The cream was really fluffy and the icing top wasn't too sweet like at Carlos. That's a plus at this shop. The line wasn't ridiculous so I was in and out real quick. When you do a check in, you get a free cookie and black coffee. They do have cream and sugar on a station across the counter where you order from. Overall it was pretty good. So I ordered 5 beef piroshki and 1lb tulumba on doordash and I have my settings to contact me if my dish is not available. I order in all the time and I understand sometimes my 1st choice will not be available usually they call me or refund me if my dish is not available. I ended up receiving 5 potato piroshki and half tulumba and half what looks like a cross between funnel cake and tulumba. I did not enjoy the tulumba at all and didn't even try the funnel cake looking thing since I did not order it and didn't know what it was. No big deal I ordered for the piroshki anyways I was having flash backs of my childhood going to the Russian deli and biting in to the delicious greasy yumminess. I immediately noticed it wasn't crazy greasy like I was used to but that in no way is a dealbreaker who doesn't like a healthier version and they're guilty pleasure but as I took a couple bites the texture and flavor was wrong turns out they ended up giving me potato and you cannot replace a carnivores meal with a vegetable Version. My first impression of the place straight out not friendly very impatient with customer service was late on my delivery and straight out wasn't what I expected in taste of expensive cake .. I went this morning in search of a fresh cake for a last minute birthday celebration, and I was in and out in literally 10 minutes with a fresh beautifully decorated chocolate cake (which was absolutely delicious, not too sweet with light buttercream). They bake their "everyday cakes" fresh everyday, hence the name. It beats getting a refrigerated stale one from the grocery store. Fast friendly workers greeted me and helped me right away. Wonderful surprise delivery to my workplace for lunch. I've never heard of this place and wasn't expecting much. TOTALLY WRONG! The bread was nothing short of magnificent on every level- crust 9/10, air pockets 10/10, flavor 9/10 (sesame seeds great touch), interior 11/10. The veggie Stromboli was so rich and flavorful I felt transported to the Mediterranean. People, the pizza with blistered tomatoes was seriously one of the best slices I've had in a LONG time (I'm looking at you Chicago!). Cheese could be upgraded but the dough carried that baby to the finish line easily. There's also something to be said about the hummus and tabbouleh. VERY well seasoned. A rare find honestly. With so many Greek options it's a great little gem. Honestly the bread is what had me clutching my pearls in hedonistic ecstasy. I ordered my wedding cake from Manan Bakery on Flamingo and paid a good price over $300. The cake arrived a bit late but I was so excited to see it! Upon delivery the woman opened the box and said Oh No!!! Give me a knife. The cake had slid off of the base and was melting , all 3 tiers . Needless to say she tried to smooth the fondant topping and put it on the table. She left quickly. I almost cried but tried to smile calling it the leaning tower of Pisa! We tried to cut into it but the fondant was causing issues and we couldn't get slices. No cake for anyone to take home and no one could eat the once lovely topping. Fast forward to Monday 8-23 I called the bakery to tell them what happened. The response I got was - it was hot that day ! They said they would talk to the owner and get back to me. Well after trying to get someone to talk to I finally got a response today! The manager said the owner said the issues happened on delivery so they are willing to give me a refund of $20 for the delivery charge! Can you believe this ? I am so angry! Is this customer service or recovery? This business will never get my business again and I hope this never happens to another bride or anyone placing an order with them. Terrible service after purchasing a $400 cake they called saying they cant make it the shape I wanted which is a square? This cake had been ordered for 2 months in advance and owner tells me oh its because the person taking the order doesn't know how we make cakes they just take orders you know. This answer was very upsetting and when I said the cake was ordered over 2 months in advance she replies yeah its ok things happen. Frosting delicious and not too sugary -overall for what should be sugar overload was instead a pleasant light, flavorful fresh cake that had us all wanting another sliver!! Armenian sweets are foreign to me, but I will gladly educate myself at Manan Bakery. This is easily the most exciting and delicious new ethnic bakery to open in Las Vegas. The shelves are lined with fresh loaves of bread, savory pastries, mousse cakes, fruit tarts, baklava, cannoli, and so much more! The presentation of the desserts is on par with a high end resort pastry shop, except the prices are more affordable. I think I spotted a tarragon-flavored soda in the cooler, just for extra uniqueness points. Several varieties of baklava tempt the senses, wrapped in phyllo, kataifi, or puff pastry made in-house. I took home a piece containing walnuts, and was surprised to discover three thin layers of puff pastry, two layers of nut filling, and a remarkably aromatic rose water soaking syrup. I also ordered a piece of House cake and a hot coffee to enjoy at one of the two tables in front of the store. The coffee was weak, but the house specialty with its towering layers of moist almond cake, chocolate mousse and orange-colored buttercream, was worth a special trip. When looking at pictures of pastries from Manan it's difficult to understand a bad review but trust me, you don't want to waste your sweets craving on going here. I came here a while ago and completely forgot that I've been here when I went back recently, that's never a good sign. My co-worker and I came on a Saturday and got some treats. Out of 4 deserts purchased (3 by me and 1 by her) none were fresh. The pastries tasted like they've been in the display case for about a week. Really sad considering that during our visit there was consistent foot traffic. Needless to say, I learned my lesson: do not buy more than one until you've sampled the product.... UGH! read more

As usual, I tag along with my wife who has a sweet tooth. We just happen to be in the area so an obligatory stop was inevitable. As you come in you see that everything is there in front of you in a wide glass case. You can see that everything is labeled along with the price. I like the fact that the nice lady behind the counter was very polite in answering all our questions. With so much eye candy (pun intended), you can literally just close your eyes and point in any direction. What we or should I say the wifey ended up getting was a Waffle Basket ($3.49) and Cappuccino Mouse Cup ($3.49). We also was given a sample of their Napoleon which we almost got but I convinced my wife not to go overboard. So we pay and as we start making our way out, we see that on the backwall there is a boatload of assortments of Baklava. I quickly take my wife by the hand and calmly say in a Barry White type of sexy voice, "Next time baby". The taste? Well, originally we were gonna bring it home and share with other family members. Let's just say this trip to Manan never happened. Oh, that reminds me. As soon as this review is done, I need to go clean up the powdered sugar from the Napoleon off the dashboard.
