My husband and I needed to buy a new mattress and we checked out three different stores. Each of the stores had similar beds and we tried them all. But when we got to Mancini's Sleepworld they asked us very good questions and really worked to understand what we needed. They directed us to the bed we ended up buying even though we looked at, probably, 7 or 8 other mattresses. We both appreciated the time they took with us to explain the benefits of each mattress we reviewed. We were not pressured to purchase which was very nice. We bought a Cal King. Mancini's Sleepworld gave us a great deal and we were able to finance our purchase too. When the bed was delivered their men were fast and efficient. They called twice before delivering our new Cal King mattress. They took care not to knock down pictures and were very careful in how they handled our new mattress and box springs - and that is tough since we live on the third floor! Those guys were strong - they made it look easy. Last night was our first night on our new mattress from Mancini's. It is SO nice not to sink into the middle of our bed anymore and I didn't wake up with a backache either!! I would buy from Mancini's Sleepworld in Mountain View again. read more

Mancini's Sleepworld will have everything you need. Simply, a wide selection of mattresses. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the Store Manager. He immediately assisted me in narrowing down the vast selections of mattresses to one's I like. ***THE SELECTION*** We did a "firmness" test on 3 mattresses, one firmer/softer than the next. Once I found the firmness I liked, he showcased me the mattresses in the store that matched that quality. I was able to narrow my choices down to two Serta branded mattresses. However, they're an "Tempurpedic elite retailer" as it was obvious the salesmen was trying to push their line. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the mattress and it's features. As soon as I determined I enjoyed the Serta iComfort he was expressing to me the better alternatives provided by Tempurpedic. While I didn't exactly express disinterest, I never mentioned liking it. He went over the top by providing me quotes, expressing to me they have it in stock, and could meet my deliver. Also mentioning the $300 free funds to use in store with my purchase provided by Tempurpedic. I was a bit annoyed as he never mentioned Serta had the same promotion, until I explicitly asked. Ultimately, I decided on a Serta iComfort as I enjoyed their bed much more compared to any Tempurpedic. When it came time for check out, I started deciding what to allocate my $300 dollar funds for. ***FREE $300 DOLLARS*** He recommended a peg hole board foundation to lay over the slats of my platform bed. As if your platform bed does not have enough or proper sizing of slats, your memory foam could feel unsupported as a heavy person (such as myself 200lbs) lays on it pushing it between the slats. Being honest, most beds come with the proper slat foundation. You can buy better slat sets cheaper than these boards. Next he recommended sheets, which I agreed with. He showed cased me these amazing 600 true thread count sheets. While, I would have bought these regardless, again I was annoyed I wasn't provided with all the information. I explicitly asked about the other sheets such as the microfiber sample hanging behind the 600 Egyptian cotton. He stated they get hot, but they were also cheaper at half the cost. Which is why I had a feeling they were not mentioned. Finally, I selected a mattress cover. At $80 you could definitely find something equivalent online for half the cost I'm sure. I took it anyways because I didn't need anything else. As the cover put me over a bit of my 300, he wiped out the extra cost which was nice of him to do. ***DELIVERY*** Delivery was made on time. They even brought it into my room. No issues here. ***FINAL THOUGHTS*** Great selection, knowledgeable sales staff, but get ready for the Tempurpedic sales pitch and up-sales. When the Simmons Beautyrest NGX 300 delivered to our home turned out to be much firmer than the one in the showroom (even after giving it 15 nights to 'losen up'), he helped us find a better alternative - the Aireloom Hybrid Bamboo. If you've ever worked sales-- or worked with someone or had a friend who worked sales you know it's dog eat dog. People will call/walk in and take up to an hour or more of your time, only to come back later and buy the item from another sales person. So of course they will drop anyone who is hemming and hawing over a purchase for anyone else who looks ready to buy. So you can see why some salesmen seem shysty. That being said... I didn't have that experience. I had a worse one. I went in ready to buy, but didn't find exactly what I wanted. Early on during browsing, I was told by a salesman that I needed to give him my address up front to see if he could get me a free delivery or discount. Sounded legit, so I said OK. I looked at a few mattress sets and didn't make a decision. Later that night I get a call just before 9pm that I didn't get a chance to pick up. I check my voicemail and it's a message from the warehouse that a delivery was scheduled and the total they will need to collect is $1,400 and they'll be there at bla bla time. So this worm salesmen, after I told him I wasn't ready to buy sets up a delivery to come out to my house. Probably hoping I would feel guilty and just pay the driver when he shows up. I hit the call back button and get the warehouse-- I tell the person who answers my story and he just laughs a bit like he's heard it many times before. Too bad, on another trip just to look at furniture since I already had a new mattress. I was helped by someone who answered all my questions and didn't waste my time with unsolicited info. Although on that same trip he asked "where did you buy your mattress" and when I said "Costco" some smartass fellow salesman said "I'm sorry." Even though I had a decent experience on the furniture shopping trip, I give them 1 star for the BS they pulled with setting up a delivery I didn't ask for. read more

I recently moved from Boston to Mountain View and was in dire need of a mattress. I searched around and found that Mancini's was closest to my place. I went in and the person in charge explained patiently and showed me their mattress options within my budget ($600). I was also given an option of buying a treated mattress + new box that was recently returned by another customer. This one costed $200 less than the original (850$) and I also got another 75$ off after negotiating. I was told that the mattress could be returned if there were any issues within a week but it would not have the 1 year warranty. I took the risk and it was totally worth it. Its an awesome queen size bed + box that revitalizes me after a nights sleep ! The price also includes shipping costs. I would highly recommend Mancini's for anyone who is looking to buy a decent mattress (not 100-200$ cheap mattress that hurt your back, remember you spend 33% of your life sleeping!), they provide bang for the buck deals. read more

These guys are great. When I found myself suddenly bedless, I called around to see who could get me a bed in short order. After a few frustrating calls, I called Mancini's and got Anthony, who was alert and helpful and tuned right in to the urgency of my situation. I could tell he really wanted to solve my problem. So I went down to the store and got excellent assistance from him and Rodney, the manager, who offered me a great deal. Turned out there was a snag with delivery and the bed came later in the day than planned. But they were so apologetic and so on point with communication with the delivery/warehouse team, that it's still a testament to their excellent customer service. I was shopping for a new mattress this weekend and paid Mancini's in MV a visit and I can see why this is the preferred brick n mortar mattress store in the Bay Area: they have a good selection of mattresses, bed frames, adjustable bases and bedroom furniture and offer competitive prices. Unfortunately, I was on a really tight budget so I ended up going for a nice Stearns and Foster I found on sale elsewhere. However, I did buy my bed frame here because they had one on sale too and Roland was nice and patient enough to help me pull it apart and get it onto a U-Haul without having to wait for their delivery techs as they weren't available for the weekend. We went and bought a mattress and an adjustable bed from Mancini's a few days ago and couldn't be happier. We purchased the heavily discounted floor models and we were able to negotiate a few extra discounts leading to pretty steep discounts on the original price purchase. Markus, the person who helped us, was really personable and was a very good sport when we were haggling for a better deal even after the large Memorial Day and floor model mark-downs. He also didn't rush us, took the time to walk us through all the different options, and helped us find a mattress that worked for both of us. And on top of that pleaded with the delivery company to do next day delivery, which we got, even though we missed the deadline. Great guy. You spend about a third of your life asleep so buy yourself a good mattress or the best mattress you can afford, and I highly recommend this store if you're looking to stretch you're dollar further...and don't forget haggle, or bring someone with you who can. read more

Charles knows his mattresses and did an excellent job of listenting to what we were looking for and recommending the products that matched our requirements. At no time did he try to sell us something more expensive or add-ons we didn't need. He also made it as comfortable as it can be in a brightly lighted store to try out the various mattresses! I was a loyal customer. I purchased a queen size bed with metal headboard, a twin size bunk bed and a wooden slate king size bed in the past. Recently, part of my king size wooden bed frame broke, and I asked them for assistance. Charles helped us over the phone and he was professional. Due to a misunderstanding, he ordered the wrong part. That's ok, and the delivery people took back the wrong part. I went to the store and tried to explain to the two sales people the problem of the bed. They basically told me 1) they already spent too much time trying to find solution. 2) they don't make any money out from helping customer like me. 3) I can go home and come back tomorrow to find Charles since he knows more than them. What kind of customer service is that? Make me feel like walking in an used car dealer. Since my last entry, Mancini has been trying to improve their service. I ended up buying a sleeper sofa there. I love the Mancinci policy if you don't like the mattress, just try it for 30 days and we'll take it back for something else. Even if I dont need that, it's a great insurance policy against making the wrong decision. But based on how I slept last night on my new airflow platinum, I'd say, with Markus' help, I picked a winner. I would recommend them without hesitation. One star is too generous. Both (that's two) bunk beds I ordered were shipped out broken. Not gently cracked; busted. Drivers were unsure what to do, so called the store. The store would be able to ship out new bunk beds but in a different color (one we had specifically ruled out) and not until the next week, conveniently after my kids have left (although I guess I could have trained my dogs to climb the steps). Asked them to pick up everything and refund me the full amount. They're unable to do so until after the warehouse has received all the goods (funny, they were able to take my money far quicker than that) and even then it still requires me to give them another call. After visiting several mattress dealers in our area, we decided that the best selection, quality, and value is here at Mancini's on Blossom Hill Rd. We called to make an appointment with Mike, and he greeted us as we arrived. The store was quite busy, a good sign. We got just the right amount of help and privacy. We spent about an hour testing mattresses, with the aid of disposable mattress and pillow covers, making the browsing more comfortable. We chose a mattress and foundation, but left the store without making a purchase, to allow for some decision time. There was no pressure by our salesman to make an immediate decision. We returned five days later, and Mike knew exactly who we were and what we wanted. The purchase process was pleasant and efficient. We walked into Mancini's last weekend to find a new bed and mattress for our disabled daughter. She was with us. She was NOT in the mood for bed shopping. Self-proclaimed Mattress Guy, Brandon Watt, came right over and within a few minutes had established a connection with us and our daughter, listened to what we wanted and didn't want, and got to work quickly showing us good/better/best options. He was efficient, knowledgeable, did NOT oversell, and was a great listener. He helped make this an easy, quick experience. The bed and mattress were delivered the next day. Right after delivery I gave him a call asking to swap out the bunkie board for a lower one so our daughter could more easily climb up on the bed and he did it immediately, waved the cost, and it will be delivered in a couple days when it's back in stock. Absolutely AMAZING experience here!. My boyfriend and i were DESPERATE for a new bed, I have really bad back problems, and hes not very picky. We had no education about mattresses. The guys Jake, and Richard that helped us were awesome. Jake found out what kind of sleepers we are, what our situation is like, had tons of tips on different types. Most of all, after informing us, he let us just roam freely around the store trying things out. Didn't follow us so some salesmen at other stores weve been to. He was the perfect amount of helpful. We had come in three different times to check out the mattresses we wanted, and finally the third time purchased it.
