Giving a 3 star for the taste of the food. Had a great tasting Ruben but the price has gotten to high for me to keep going here for at after 10 years or so, just for this what was normal to seasonal sandwich these last few years. The whole Ruben now sells for almost $22.00. That getting a little rich for me. The service was great though and the food came out quickly. It's a nice clean place, but not worth out of my way for anymore. Sad to say I'll be shopping for a new place that's a bit cheaper. read more

I went to another store in this plaza to shop and had a later commitment, so I stopped here for carryout. Knowing I was in a tight time frame, I could have ordered online as it was more convenient but got distracted with my other errand. I ordered in the restaurant and my order came quickly and was delicious. My son ordered a calzone, and I picked a grinder. It was easier to eat part of it before my evening commitment and finish it when I arrived back home. My grinder with ham, turkey, mayo, and the condiments stayed fresh and was tasty after a few hours. Thanks, Mancinos, for the excellent service and the delicious food as usual. The portions were large and a good deal for the money. The waiting area of the restaurant was clean and comfortable also. read more

Love the energy of the staff here. The food is good just not great. The restaurant has cute seating and it's a nice place to stop by after the movies. The seats were comfortable and the water was solid. It was just not the life changing experience I hoped for. read more

Whoever answers the phone shouldn't be. I called at 2pm which on google they say they are open. I called to ask a simple question about a big order I wanted to place for that Friday and she answered the phone and said "we closed" I said "I have a quick question" she said "thank you" then hung up in my face. If you're closed and not willing to answer questions then don't answer the phone. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Great and friendly staff. Exactly what you want in a sandwich shop. They often have cool guests like a magician as well for the kids.

I've ordered from this location multiple times and everyone I've interacted with from the phone yo delivery driver to in person has been so friendly. Orders have all been made prompt and delicious. However, they say they are open till 8:00 PM but when you call at 7:35 PM they tell you "I'm sorry we can't take your order because we close at 8 o'clock and I've already shut our registers down. If you like your calzones doughy and your fires half frozen, this is the place for you. That's what we go for our order. They seemed to be more interested in going home than they did in actually cooking food. We walked in and ordered carry out at 7:35 pm. They close at 8pm. Seems like more than enough time to actually cook the food. Apparently not. I've had ice cream from McDonalds that was cooked more. Stay away! read more

I've had their pizza many times before. It was OK, with a nicely acidic tomato sauce. The balance of bread, sauce, cheese & toppings was right. Today I had a grinder for the first time. The half sandwich is 8 inches, the full size is 16. The bread was soft and spongy. I actually prefer my grinder bread to be thinner and chewy, so the bread was just OK by my standards. I got the "Italian" grinder. There are almost two dozen choices on the menu. The meat was tasty. There was a bit of cheese on there, since I noticed caramelized bits of it falling off my sandwich as I ate it. If there were any green peppers on my sandwich, I didn't notice. I ordered extra veggies, and there was an abundance of shredded head lettuce and refrigerated (bland) tomato slices. It was hard to fold the sandwich over to contain all the vegetative matter, so the quantity was great, but I would have preferred some green peppers and red onions along with the rest. So I'd rate this grinder a 2.5 out of 5, and I'll be sure to try something else next time. read more

Mancinos is a decent pizza place. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to someone, but I also wouldn't tell someone that it sucks. The thing that I feel is weird about Mancinos is that it feels like they are trying to be a sit down restaurant, but also a pizza place at the same time. When I walk into a place like Little Caesars, I don't expect to sit down and eat there. I get my pizza and go. When I go to a place like the Pizza House, I'm seated, and actually waited on. At mancinos, it's like they tried to do both, and it works for them, but it just feels weird. Me being a clean freak, I feel it could be cleaner, but to give the workers credit, they make sure everything is cleaned up, so you don't feel disgusting. That's a plus, because a lot of pizza places don't don't. As for the pizza itself, it's extremely greasy. My pepperoni pizza the other day had pools of grease sitting on the top, which I know is a given for pizza, but still. I'd prefer not to see that. All in all, decent food, I just think they need to figure out what type of place they want to be and commit to it. 3/5 read more

I've ordered chicken grinders on three different occasions and each time I was unsatisfied with how it taste, compared to the Mancino's in Adrian Michigan.. I don't understand why there is such a difference, being that this is a franchise. Please take note of what their doing in Adrian and duplicate the process. read more

This Mancinos is but one of many in the southeastern MI area... I know there are some in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, and I've seen them in Southgate as well. I seem to have an affinity for the sandwiches of the south Ann Arbor area because I work around here. I am reviewing the Grinders and Pizza only as I have never had the wings or salads. But the 8 in Stromboli, BBQ Pork and Italian grinders are hot deliciousness. Basically your standard white bread, but baked in the same pizza ovens as the pizza, the Grinders are hot, fresh and a good amount of toppings. I just had the Stromboli Grinder (italian sausage, cheese, green pepper and banana pepper) and it hit the spot. I also highly recommend the Italian (ham salami, italian sausage!). The pizza here is pretty standard; thinner crust than Jet's across the way, but not really a thin crispy crust... i would say it's close to Happy's quality and more toppings than the Hot N Ready. If you want deep dish or hand-tossed, do not come here. Overall, for a hot baked sandwich joint, I would come here simply because Dibella's is too far (to make a half-hour lunchtime work) and the cold subs are best... Bread Basket in Ypsi is also too far and sometimes you can't sit in an office for 4 hours with 2 lbs of meat in your gut... and finally Gabriel's Cheesesteaks is 2 minutes farther down Michigan Ave, but doesn't have the variety of choices Mancino's offers. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a fast hot sandwich for about 6 bucks (8.50 if you get the combo with chips or oven baked fries and a pop). read more

I had the Buffalo Chicken grinder. It was pretty good! Would be an easy 4-star, but the bread was only okay. The filling was good, I liked the flavor of the buffalo sauce a lot, and the chicken was well-cooked. Ordered to-go and was surprised by the box it came in. It's like a small pizza box, very sturdy and made of cardboard. I expected some paper wrapping and a bag. If you're worried about your sandwich getting crushed on the way home, worry no more. read more

The quality and preparing of the food here has been on a downhill slide for the last two months, it's a shame, they use to be good.

I have been to two other Mancinos in MI. St. John's and Jackson. The pizza at both of these locations was great. I went to the Mancinossaline web site to find the phone number and call to place my order. I noticed pictures of pizza that looked just like what I had at the other locations. When I got home I was sadly disappointed. What I got was a thin crust sub par pie certainly not worth the 17 bucks. I actually called the store asking if I may have ordered the wrong type of pizza. The Manager informed me that " our pizza is different than other locations and it's also cut into little squares". Avoid this location if your looking for hand tossed, near deep dish pie. If your satisfied with thin crust frozen pizza, go for it. But there's much better pizza to be had around town. You've been warned..... read more

I really like Mancino's however my wife and I drove in from out of town for dinner. We arrived at 9:00 pm on Saturday night. The Yelp report said that they were open until 10:00, their sign said 10:30 on Saturdays. They were closed. Not happy!!!!!! read more

I have gotten the same thing from them for over a decade and will continue. In fact, I think I may get one tomorrow. I love the steak and cheese grinder, no onion, add green olive and banana pepper. It never fails to satisfy. They beat the hell out of the local sub shops. read more

The turkey grinders here are good and big size. I would liken the style of sub to something a little like tubby'a.

I love their grinders! A half is about 8-10" long and easily enough to be a full meal. Personally I prefer the roast beef but it's hard to find a bad choice among them. The pizza is somewhat disappointing and is often greasy. Sides are pretty generic but most meals don't need them. read more

Not as good as the Carpenter Rd restaurant. I had the ham and cheese grinder, hubby had the steak and cheese grinder and we shared a small cheese and garlic bread and fries. Fries and my sandwich were OK, not great. Steak sandwich had less meat than the other restaurant. Bread was very different than the other place, hardly any cheese and overcooked. Pizza is good, but the tuna subs here are the best. Baked so the cheese melts over it and if you really like tuna get it with extra. You will not be able to eat it all if you get the whole ... but you could share it;) If you like roasted and tuna subs get one you will not be disappointed read more

I stopped in to get a sandwich about 6:15 p.m. yesterday. Nice feel to the place, seating area seemed clean and cozy. Placed my order for take-out, a Chicago steak and cheese. Then I waited. Then I noticed the delivery guy with full beard and no beard cover in the food area. Not a good look. But hey, maybe not so bad. Only a moment or two with actually dealing with the food, gloves on, the rest being boxes getting ready for delivery. OK, busy teen employees apparently working on delivery orders as the place was not busy in person. I waited, and waited, and finally....my sandwich, but not to go. Then they put it in a box, and I opened up my cold sandwich and sweet potato fries at home, for FAR more $ than I meant to spend at Subway, which I accidentally passed and decided to try Mancino's..... Yeah. Not only cold, but sparsely covered with steak (?) no cheese that I could taste. Supposedly spread with a garlic spread. No real taste of that. Yeah. So very nothing. And I have another pizza place in Saline already that I like, but hey, maybe people like their pizza or something. But me....never again. read more

Great pizza as always! We ordered carry out on a Friday night, and they were very busy. Pizza was ready right on time (20 minutes). I got home, and discovered one of the pizzas was totally wrong (busy Friday night... it happens). Called up the restaurant, and they apologized and said they'd put the new one in right away, ready in 10 minutes. I showed up 10 minutes later, and the manager was waiting for me, pizza in hand. He apologized profusely for the mistake and handed me the pizza, along with a complimentary bag of cookies, a fountain drink, and a $10 gift card. Service like that is hard to come by these days. They will definitely be keeping my business. read more
