Like March 17, 2020, I had work travel to Prince William County on Friday, April 24, 2020. It was a cool, cloudy gray day. My girlfriend of that time tagged along. Work travel only took 5 minutes this time since the whole building was shut for Covid, and it was simply drop-boxes set up outside. We walked around Prince William Forest Park later that afternoon, and for dinner, we stopped here. Staff was nice, and sushi was good. It's not one of the best sushi I've had, but it's solid. Since it was in the peak of Covid, we ate in the car like animals, or maybe outside although a bit chilly. I honestly don't remember that part.

Shout out to Mandarin Court for keeping us fed during this virus. Cannot rave enough about their service, hospitality, Sweet and Sour Pork, Cani Salad, Beef and Broccoli or Spider Roll enough. Wife generally goes Lo Mein, so I can't speak to that, although she rates it highly. Servings are HUGE! I like to dine in when possible, but their carry out is reliable and quick. Order direct; not through GrubHub or DoorDash. Mandarin Court has their own driver, and they keep the 30% commission that would otherwise go elsewhere. Their sushi is also excellent, with the traditional California Roll, Smoked Eel roll and Spider Roll being particular favorites. When checking reviews, I tend to look at the negatives first, because there tends to be fewer of them. If you ordered through GrubHub and your food wasn't delivered, that's not the fault of the restaurant! Definitely give them a try! read more

The food was decent, but none of the dishes truly stood out. The crab rangoon lacked filling and was over-fried. The beef fried rice was solid, though not exceptional, and the General Tso's chicken had a good flavor but too much breading. On the positive side, the young ladies taking orders were very pleasant, and the establishment was clean--a definite plus when deciding on places to recommend. Overall, the service here is excellent, but the food can be hit or miss depending on your order. Holy cow, this place is amazing! I ordered the angel hair rice noodles and the triple delight, and both were out of this world. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of sauce. And the triple delight? Let's just say it was an explosion of flavors. This place is downright disgusting. Ordered 2 sushi rolls and teriyaki chicken. Food tasted old and had a weird smell to it. Everything was overcooked and burned. We literally took a bite or two of each item and then threw the entire thing in the garbage. Waste of $40. read more

The Woodbridge area is not a hotbed for authentic Chinese cuisine so even though they offer some dishes that sound on paper to be less Chinese American like wonton noodle soup with roast pork (a Cantonese classic), it ended up being a mishmash of leftover stir fried veggies with lo mein noodles rather than the signature thin egg noodles and the wonton filling used a cheap cut of minced pork. The only saving grace was that the broth was not laden with MSG, which would have been expected to substitute for a well simmered broth. My advice is to stick with the Chinese American classics like lo mein, beef and broccoli, general Tao's chicken, etc since they execute them well and give two scoops of rice with a lunch special proving $7.95. I think they keep their costs down since it is curbside pickup without delivery or dine in, a consequence post-pandemic which they never decided to reverse. An excellent option if you want solid Chinese -American fare at below market price in the style of a drug deal pickup.
