No accountability terrible service. Just ordered two large wonton soups from Mandarin Garden on highway 138. Indicated shellfish allergies during my order. Got home and shrimp were in both soups. Called and explained the mistake and said I would be bringing back. Once there I had to ask for a refund as it was not offered and asked for my order to be remade correctly. The male owner laughed and said he would not remake unless I paid for both orders. I will never give this place my money again and will only spend where my money is respected. Shellfish allergies is nothing to play with an as a restaurant owner when such a deadly error was made at MINIMUM i should not have to pay for my order to be corrected. I came in calm and had to ask to be compensated for their mistake. Horrible customer service for what could have been a grave mistake. Just sharing my experience. Male not shown in photo as he walked off to the back after laughing.

While shopping at nearby stores, we decided to give Mandarin Garden a shot.  We walked in, clueless about the place, and got a friendly greeting. After reviewing the take-out menu, we settled on two orders of Sesame Chicken--one with fried rice and the other with white rice. The person taking our order mentioned that the food would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Setting a timer on my phone, we walked to another nearby store and returned right on time. As promised, the food was ready when we arrived. We packed everything up and headed home.  The food itself turned out to be good, though, in my opinion, it tasted more like Sweet and Sour Chicken than Sesame Chicken. One positive note was that the chicken actually tasted like real chunks of chicken breast and wasn't drowned in breading. Overall, the food and service were good.  3.5

Best Chinese in Conyers. Clean and friendly. Food is always tasty. This is my go-to for Chinese when in town.

This place is ok. Went here because Asia Express across the street closed down. The lunch buffet is very small, but the food is not bad.

The only thing we would've changed is possibly ordering more because every dish was delicious?…read more Pork egg roll: Crunch, warm, and super tasty. The sweet chili sauce was perfect as well. Braised Wings: The crispy wings and sweet sauce are a must every time. Shrimp fried rice: The Shrimp was well seasoned and juicy. And the fried rice was flavorful, especially with a small splash of soy sauce. Pork Bahn mi: This was our favorite dish. The meat was sweet and tender, the bread warm with the perfect amount of crunch. It was a perfect sandwich. Chicken Curry: We're used to curry with rice on the side, so the noodles with broth was a nice change of pace. The chicken was falling off the bone and we drank every sip of the broth. Strawberry dragonfruit with peach popping boba was a great compliment to the savory dishes as well.

For me personally, the broth needed a little extra help from the add-ins (hoisin, sriracha, herbs, etc.) to really bring out the flavor I was looking for. Once adjusted, it was enjoyable. I will say prices seem to have gone up a bit, but you do get a decent amount of food for what you pay. Overall, it's a reliable spot when you're craving pho.

It's nice to witness management taking the customer experience so seriously. I've ordered (both dine in and takeout) the sammen plate, corn muffins, afta church plate, catfish platter (when it was around), grits, egg rolls, and a variety of alcoholic cocktails. The cocktails are typically great. For the most part, it's always a relatively pleasant experience dining here. I awarded 4 stars and not five for small service inconsistencies like missing ingredients. Once something is noticed however, it is addressed immediately. Check it out for some authentic Gullah cuisine! Definitely the best on this side of town

Good food. Glib service…read more The owner requested a less flowery review and more substance. Less bone more meat, so to speak. For my last night in GA I decided to go to Vigil's. I liked the name and the cuisine. Pretty good reviews, but if you've been on Yelp as long as I have, you know that standards vary greatly. And Virgils was no exception! Food was excellent! Deviled Eggs, Corn Bread, Sunday Plate, Grouper, and Seafood Platter. Undeniably Good. Service. Undeniably Bad! Muy malo! If you have to sit at the bar even when you have reservations. No bueno! If you have to flag someone down to get them to take your order. I am looking for an alternative option. If you charge a 20% service fee for services not rendered. Shame on you. "People will never forget how you made them feel". Well in a nutshell, not very valued. Having been in the restaurant industry of over 17 years, I have the perspective being on both sides, I would say service is the part severely lacking at Virgils.
