Theyre so personable, really helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure their customers are fully satisfied. *Aaron*, the son of the owner was especially helpful and answered the phone & helped me 3 times throughout 2 hours tonight, when DoorDash was constantly canceling + changing my order's drivers. I called, and he answered multiple times, checking the map to see where my driver was, then even told me he would keep the order open well past 10pm (they closed at 930), while he was cleaning, just to make sure my friends & I got our Fri night take-out! I highly recommend them just for the helpfulness of the staff alone, not to mention how much the food slapped! If you're hoping and patiently waiting for your midnight munchies to arrive, they will make sure to keep the doors open past closing to make sure that your delivery has a chance to reach you. The food here is great, but I especially appreciate how friendly and kind the owners and people that work here are. I have allergies and they are very accommodating, and always very pleasant. I'm allergic to ALL fish, so the fact that they have cream cheese wontons with no crab is a big plus because they are delicious, and everything is cooked to order. Huge fan of the paper wrapped chicken, definitely order it! The portions are also pretty generous. It's not a fancy/upscale establishment, but cute, unpretentious, family owned, reasonably priced, the food is good, and staff is the best. Definitely a business worth supporting :) read more

Wonderful family owned Chinese restaurant on PCH in Laguna Beach. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Aaron, his beautiful mom, Priscilla, and Mr. Fu, who are the owners of this cozy and timeless local gem. They will make sure your food is custom made to order and coming out fresh, fast, hot and delicious. My kids LOVED the tender Mongolian beef, yummy House Special Chicken, Orange Peel chicken, House Special chow mein, and scrumptious fried cheese wontons. They did not leave any leftovers on any plates, and they were in love with their buttery almond cookies. No wonder this small family-run restaurant has been a local favorite for 35 years. It was actually pretty good which shocked me. Okay, I just think that the places on the Newport coast tend to be overpriced and not very good. However, this place was actually quite good. We had the orange chicken (yes, I know it's very generic but with an 8 year old that is hooked on orange chicken you have no choice but to order less than authentic dishes!) and the mongolian beef. Both were quite good and tasty. We also had the pop sticker which I did not care for. It was gummy. There is ample seating and spacious enough to accommodate small to large parties. It can be very busy at dinner time and there are a lot of take-out orders from what I observed. The service was good but it took a while to get the bill and leave because it was so busy. Overall, it's a great option if you are staying on the coast and don't want to fight horrible traffic to get somewhere followed by waiting in line for most the the popular restaurants. read more

I wasn't sure if zero stars worked but this meal deserved zero. The king pao shrimp was the worst I've ever had and so was the sweet and sour pork. I've been here twice before with nothing special to rave about. I won't be back. The food was tasteless and sub par. The shrimp were the medium sized ones and not good. If you want to feed a bunch of people delicious and affordable food, this is the place! We have been regulars for over 25 years. Our children, who are young adults now, have been eating here since they were babies. We usually order our favorites ( garlic chicken, chow mein, honey walnut shrimp) but tonight we ordered the house special pork (we love the chicken & beef versions, too), oh my goodness! It has become an instant favorite! So delicious! This place is run by a wonderful family. We have tried eight different dishes there, all of them have been spectacular. Everyone that works there is super friendly and very welcoming. My boyfriend and I got take out from here while I was housesitting in Laguna Beach one night. We called in our order and walked to the restaurant to pick it up. The food was ready when we arrived and the staff were very friendly. They made sure we had chopsticks, sauces, and of course an abundance of fortune cookies before we took our food home. The food itself was phenomenal! We started with an order of vegetarian eggrolls and they were cooked perfectly and delicious. Then we shared a couple of entrées. We had one order of the honey walnut shrimp, one order of the spicy peppered fish, and one order of Mushu chicken. The honey walnut shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and plenty. The spicy peppered fish was fresh and the breading was phenomenal. And my boyfriend was pleased with the Mushu chicken. I will definitely come back to this place and try it again. This is a place I never would have ever paid attention to but My husband got the recommendation and this place was great! It's a small location but area is romantic & casual so perfect for a grab and go for dinner or perfect place for a date night. The service is phenomenal they are attentive and friendly. Their menu is pretty large with many selections-of entrees and appetizers. The sizzling rice soup and egg flower soup are delicious. The chicken lettuce wraps are amazing with plenty chicken and sauce to just melt in your mouth. They have a variety of items and plenty of leftovers to take home with any single item entrees it ends up being a lot of food for just two people. The prices are not that bad I'd rather come here than anywhere else for Chinese food to spend the money on quality food and service. Better than any PF Chang's or Panda Express. read more
