Pork sliders in the four ground and brewhouse fries behind them.
    Ron H.

My wife and I glanced at the clock and realized we could make it to Manderes just in time for Happy Hour. We started off with an order (2) Pork Sliders and Brewhouse Fries. The slider was a bit too spicy (it's not THAT spicy) for my wife which meant more for me. The fries were done just the way I like them. The fries come with ketchup as well as cucumber wasabi ranch, which was just a little spicy. My wife stuck with the ketchup. We then decided to split an order of Korean barbecue beef. The meat was thinly sliced and deliciously marinated. The rice and the cucumber salad were very good and the stir fry vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the littlest bit of crunch left in them. Everything was delicious. Our server made sure that our drinks never got below half and our bill was promptly brought out as soon as the take-home box was delivered. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was really hustling and we were in and out in an hour without feeling rushed. It is a brew house vibe and there were TVs tuned to hockey, NBA basketball and NFL Football. The crowd checked off every demographic. I loved that they were almost completely full, yet it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation. It's no wonder two different sets of friends said this is their go-to restaurant in Folsom.

Wow this is a hidden gem! All these years we lived in Folsom we never thought to try this place. After reading great reviews on Yelp we came for dinner! All these years reviews were spot on accurate! Great genuine customer service from servers who are obviously prideful to work here. Great food and definitely generous portions! We had the raved crab cakes which were amazing! Calamari was also crisp and delish. Entrees: Steak Kabob served with 3 skewers and chunky mash, omg sooo filling and steak was tender and veges grilled to perfection. Shrimp and scallops were decent size and super tasty! Steak salad was also very tasty, tender and filling! This place seemed to be patronized by regulars and not an empty table the whole time we were there. We arrived about 5:40 pm on a Saturday! Definitely cozy and busy at the same time. Great vibe! We will become regular patrons for sure!!

The food was amazing, the server was attentive and the bar back refilled my drink not skipping a beat. We ate during happy hour and my sliders filled me up for $11. There weren't too many people there is it was perfect. Great experience.

Fantastic place! A friend brought me here for dinner. Quickly greeted and sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and make suggestions and offered specials. Ordered the ribs, an order of wings, and fries. The patrons at the bar were super friendly and made the experience awesome as the vibes were there! The food came out and the portions were huge! The ribs were great, fall off the bone and sauced well! The wings were crunchy and battered well and the sauces paired well. The onion rings that came with the ribs were awesome! Do not order the fries. The fries are bad. Soggy and tasted like they sat out of the fryer for awhile... Overall the selection of beers, the awesome food, and the good vibes make this a fantastic place to have dinner or catch up.

The locals in this area, love this place. It's highly ranked on both yelp and Google. If you want to be the dinner rush, I recommend coming around 5/ 5:30 pm. Because the place will get packed very quickly and for good reason. The servers were great, even though the food did take a little time to come out they were constantly checking in on us and recommending different food, options and drinks during our meal. When the food came, it was well worth the wait! If you go, make sure you get the crabcake it is one of the best crabcakes I have ever had and it's one of their top menu items! The restaurant is on the smaller side and it is tight pack with seating so when it gets busy, it gets loud but it's still a very intimate and cozy atmosphere to be in.

We have been here a bazillion times. Most recently on a Saturday afternoon before the dinner crowd started. The waitresses & waiters & even the owner recognized us too. We usually come to meet up with our besties on this side of town. Their service is excellent you can count on that! They are very accommodating. Because we came before 4 PM we weren't able to order off the dinner menu but their salads here are so delicious. I usually have the steak salad with no bleu cheese. I don't eat my bread & usually hand it over to our friends. My wife's favorite here now is the Asian chicken salad with chicken thighs. It's so tasty & she asked for dressing on the side which was perfect she said. She did however want more dressing & got it! We also love their calamari, shrimp lettuce wraps, Mongolian pork chop, Korean beef & crab cakes. By looking at my pics you can see we have been here on numerous occasions & we live in Elk Grove not in Folsom. So we have ventured out quite a ways across town to eat here yet it's so worth it! Their ambiance is very neighborly sportsman like yet casual! A very comfortable & consistent place to have an excellent meal! See you soon Manderes!

Came here for lunch. Party of 2! We came around 12ish and there was only a handful of us in here. So we were seated right away. If you are looking for a cute Aesthetic or fancy place, this is not it. But! if you are looking for a chill, casual, yummy food, good vibes type of place, then, this is it! Our customer service was great. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and it was delicious! it was like more white sauce spaghetti rather then fettuccini i should say. but it was one of my favorite pasta dishes I have ever had. defiantly reccomend and I would go again!

I have a wonderful birthday meal at Manderes. It was packed (and quite small inside) however we were happy to get a seat on a Friday afternoon. I was celebrating my birthday with my Mom who is recovering from surgery so this was extra special. Like everywhere prices have gone up but no shrinkflation here! I got the steak salad and subbed salmon and as you can tell, they gave me a sizeable portion of salmon! My Mom loved her crab cakes and had to bring one home. Thank you!

    Steak salad- delicious.

We were going out for my Birthday and I couldn't really find a place I wanted to go to until I saw Menderes on Yelp. It is in a strip mall. Easy parking out front. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant and bar area was very full but they seated us right away. I asked for a beer recommendation and loved it! There were three of us and we ordered the steak salad (delicious), the squash raviolis (delicious) and the jambalaya special (delicious). The servers were so nice and they all worked so well together that I thought maybe they were two couples that were owners together but when I asked one of them they said, "no they just enjoy their work and are like family." It shows!!!! We will definitely return here.

Angus Burger & Pesto Risotto with Salmon

A friend recommended this place to me and my partner since we're new to the area. I thought this was a small sports bar walking in with bar food and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is bomb. THE WINGS. Seriously so good, they're huge and cooked so well. We mixed the BBQ and medium spice together and I've craved it a lot since lol. My partner had the burger and I got the salmon and pesto risotto. The salmon was a little dry for my liking but the risotto when eaten with the balsamic is sooo good. Our server was very sweet and attentive, I definitely see us being regulars.

    Rosemary and garlic ribeye
    Shelly H.

I've loved this restaurant for over 20 years so this review is long over due. Last night I had the rosemary and garlic ribeye special with mixed vegetables and red mashed potatoes. It was delicious! My mom had the pork chop and my dad had the ahi tuna with risotto. Everyone was in love with their meal and as always, no complaints. The food always comes out full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We also shared a wedge salad and the chili. Probably the best restaurant chili I have ever had. We ordered 3 bowls to go for Super Bowl Sunday. Angie was our server and she went above and beyond ensuring we were satisfied with our wine choices and was very tentative as well as charming. I always look forward to stopping in every time I'm home visiting! Of course we will be back!

    Steak Risotto
    Nicholas B.

Well, we are still frequenting Manderes whenever we can make it out to the area, and I'm honestly perplexed how a restaurant can remain so consistent with both service and their dishes. We regularly order the steak risotto, and it's amazing each and every time, without fail. Even the kiddos enjoy the food here and they can be pretty picky with anything that isn't fast food. We got to chat briefly with the owner one of the last times we were there, he was friendly and down to earth. Will likely be back within the next few weeks.

I saw a picture of bacon wrapped filet mignon but I could not find it in the menu?

They are an occasional special on Friday or Saturday nights. I don't think they are filet mignon but they are some very tender and tasty cuts.

Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

The salad came with small portions of hummus and tzatziki, but no pita or anything to pair them with, which I found odd--are people just eating those with a fork? Lily, our server, was kind and pleasant, and honestly, I felt sorry for her because she appeared to be the only waitress working. We had to ask for our check at the end of the meal, but Lily did comp our chicken wings because of the service issues, which was appreciated. Overall, the prompt seating was a good start, but the slow service, incorrect order, staggered food delivery, and small portions relative to the prices made for a disappointing dining experience. While Lily did her best, it seemed like the restaurant may have been understaffed.

I ordered the same soup only in a Bread Bowl and split with our toddler. Hubby ordered the Chicken and Poblano Bread Bowl. 5/5 stars from our family of 4! Best tomato bisque and sourdough bread bowl I ever had! This restaurant has been using the same sourdough starter recipe since 1995! 100% natural, fresh hand-rolled bread from their SF location! Great staff and clean location! Will be back to devour the rest of the menu! SYOY! :D

"Sounds good," I heard so across the parking lot was WCSD. In we go. Ordered two 6" BLT, no chips, cookies, or drinks, had water. Over $25.00. After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
