TLDR Food 3.5/5 Service 4/5 Pricing 3.5/5 Parking 5/5 Boo... bul... Bulgogi! Yes, this place has a Bulgogi sandwich as well as other burgers / sandwiches for lunch. The Bulgogi Sandwich caught my eye as I'm a big fan of KBBQ so I decided on that. I also got a coconut stout which I was a big fan of. The Bulgogi sandwich came out to be juicy and tender with a side of dipping sauce, but after eating it I would probably prefer a regular burger or sandwich. It's just my taste but I'd probably would of liked the meat with the bread and some salad on the side. If you like sweet and savory this is it, as the meat was cooked right. Service is great here and it can get crowded during lunch time. Pricing was in the $14+ for just the food and $20+ with a drink. I will need to come back for a dinner visit to try some more of their beer and the dinner items. read more

Our first time here today. The place is interesting in a way that I like it, half is for sports and half is semi formal the high top table is covered with black table cloth cover which is nice. We got there past 4 pm and by 5:30 it was starting to get packed. We tried the rib eye and it was great! It was seasoned just like the way I like it. The zucchini sticks was interesting but it was ok. Calamari was different not traditional way of cooking it. It was also ok for me. This has been my go to restaurant for years. I taken many people here and it never disappoints They have the best bruschetta in the area by far. The ribeye steak is always top notch. The creamy risotto leaves you wanting for more. I had one of the specials, lobster ravioli----oh my!!! Absolutely delicious!!! They also have wonderful desserts. Service is friendly and pretty good. Food is great! Not over priced and great portions. We have had a few different things and loved them all. We really liked the service and at one point the bartender saw our beers had just finished and got us another round when we were not even at the bar. Great team work for sure. There is a bit of a wait each time we go but it's a great place so it makes sense. The ambiance is lively and fun but not too loud to have a good conversation. read more

This is a hidden gem! Excellent food, and excellent, friendly service, too. There's usually a wait for dinner, but well worth it. We've tried several dinner entrees like Korean bulgogi beef, Angus burger, and Chimay chicken, and they've all been excellent. But our favorite is one of their specials - the Salmon Pesto Risotto. I was in Folsom a few times for work. I came here a few weeks ago simply because it had 4.5 stars w/ 400+ reviews. I came back again tonight because I was very pleased with the food and service last time. Well.. it was not a fluke. I ordered their pork chop w/ Mongolian sauce over spinach risotto and steamed vegetables (you pay extra for the steam veges bc the dish comes w/ a salad). Food was delicious! My pal said it was the best dinner he has had in Folsom for the past few weeks. I splurged with French fries as an appetizer. Their fries are pretty delicious as well... The service and staff were attentive and polite. The decor is nice as well but a little cramped. It also has a few TV's and a bar if you need to watch a ball game of some sort. I came here because of the glowing reviews! First off, we were ushered in as soon as we stepped inside. The menu was not complicated so that's good. We ordered the calamari strips appetizer, and grilled steak risotto. The calamari strips were tender and huge, I'm used to seeing the rings. If you like to try new things, get this! My grilled steak were pre cut into 4-5 pieces, cooked medium well as ordered. The steaks were salty while the parmesan risotto tasted bland. It was an ok dinner. read more

For my 100th Yelp Review I wanted to rate something consistently top notch. Manderas fits the bill. It is a standout with meals a foodie would enjoy. This is my go-to stop when I am in the Folsom area or passing by on my way to Lake Tahoe. Food is delicious and attention is made to the presentation of the meals. Some of the items I can highly recommend are the: Bulgogi Hoagie, the steak is of high quality and marinated in a Korean Sauce on a roll. It comes with a choice of fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings, salad, or coleslaw. The fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings are all good. Hot Pastrami, is served on a roll with Pepper Jack Cheese with the same choice of sides as the hoagie. One of my friends said it's was the best Pastrami Sandwich he had ever eaten. Crab & Sweet Corn Chowder, it is flavorful and rich. The ingredients also include potatoes. Xango, this is a dessert which blends well together. It is Deep Fried Cheesecake. Yes, you read that correctly. Rolled in Cinnamon Sugar, with Vanilla Ice Cream with Carmel Sauce Topping. It is a good idea to share this one. Service is consistently good and portions are large. I have been a long time customer and I can tell the employees enjoy working here. It is not unusual to see the owner interacting with new and regular customers. First time back in yeeaarrsss since going vegan. We came for hubby's birthday, and I planned on just getting fries. To my extreme surprise, they actually suggested an avocado wrap similar to the chicken lettuce wrap, but made vegan! It was soooo filling and soooo delicious! 3 stars equals average in Yelp terms so in my opinion is is an average joint. I had the oysters Rockefeller which were undercooked, and the staff, though nice, was too busy when I asked them to cook it longer. They tried to recook them, then forgot to bring it back, so I didn't get them back until long after my meal was done. The shrimp cocktail was average, I felt the shrimps tasted a bit room temperature and I would have liked it colder. The steak was just okay. I'm thinking more like Outback than a fine steakhouse. I felt the steak was a bit chewy. It was super crowded, and it's definitely a favorite with the local crowd. I guess for the price and average quality of food, it's not somewhere that I would personally recommend. read more

This place is wonderful! The staff is friendly and very efficient. Their calamari appetizer was very good and comes with two types of dipping sauce. My wife had the special of the day Salmon plate and she said it was the best salmon ever! I had half rack of ribs and they were incredible. Their mango slaw is creamy and great. Half rack was enough, I can't imagine eating their full rack. Kudos all around the great place! read more

Excellent food and even better service. The ribeye is outstanding, generous portion, cooked to perfection and, imo, better than Ruth Chris at a fraction of the price. They do get busy but we arrived early for dinner. Also ordered the crab cakes, all we can say is "WOW"! All other dishes we had were excellent! read more

We walked in on a whim after the wait at Bacchus house next door was too long, but I'm glad we did! The servers were attentive and friendly, and they have a good draft beer selection, although they didn't have a full bar to order from. We got the calamari and the bruschetta to start. The calamari was perfectly breaded and fried, and they were pretty tasty (although I prefer calamari rings). The bruschetta was also pretty good. For entrees, we got the bulgogi plate, beef kabobs, ribeye, and the seared ahi tuna plate. First off, the portions are huge! i got the ahi tuna plate with side of red pepper risotto and veggies. The ahi tuna was perfectly seared rare, and topped with fresh mango salsa. I would definitely recommend this plate. Although I can't comment on the other plates as I didnt try them, my colleagues seemed to really enjoy them. Overall, definitely recommend for good food, good beer and good service. read more

Was up in Sacramento with my son and his new bride and they took us to this place in Folsom. I have to say it was so good. I had the Korean BBQ and the meat basically melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. The accompanying vegatables were awesom and there was a different but very tasteful Cucumber kimchi that has no spice at all. My son had his go too Risotto and was not dissappointed and my wife had the raviolis and she loved them. The food here is top notch and the servers are very attentive. Will definitely come back everytime I venture up north. read more

We went last night we were a party of 7.Reservations not accepted.We waited 45 minutes. I have been there many times and no complaints. Stopped by this place recently and although they have a patio all set up for outdoor dining, the server told us we couldn't sit outside. Right now in our area, indoor dining isn't allowed as per the COVID guidelines. The restaurant has three large sections, but instead of spacing out tables she put people all in the same small area in front of the bar, meaning people were sitting with no masks 6 inches of each other. Which obviously made us uncomfortable. And then the fact that they have outdoor dining but she said we couldn't sit there?! Manderes, you're not so good you don't have to follow the rules. Unless COVID hasn't come to Folsom?! read more

My fiancé took me out for an experience at her favorite local restaurant. It would have been a good one had it not been for our server. Impersonal, abrupt, never smiled once, and it seemed as if we were an annoyance. His walking away in the midst of our order was a head shaker. He was not a good representative of the establishment. It was a shame to pay the bill because it cost me a Saturday night. read more

They are an occasional special on Friday or Saturday nights. I don't think they are filet mignon but they are some very tender and tasty cuts.

Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

My husband's Hawaiian BBQ which he added Kalbi beef was also a very small portion and didn't feel worth the $36 price tag. We were so hungry that we didn't even get to take photos. The hostess was very enthusiastic about clearing our table and was attentive in that regard. Lily, our server, was kind and pleasant, and honestly, I felt sorry for her because she appeared to be the only waitress working. We had to ask for our check at the end of the meal, but Lily did comp our chicken wings because of the service issues, which was appreciated. Overall, the prompt seating was a good start, but the slow service, incorrect order, staggered food delivery, and small portions relative to the prices made for a disappointing dining experience. While Lily did her best, it seemed like the restaurant may have been understaffed.

After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
