This gem is the best spot around for asian fusion. The staff are all so sweet and accommodating - and a good time if they've got the time to hang at the bar with you! My family always eats in here not just for the friendly atmosphere [that's never super crowded], but also because they have the best rolls and specials! They really know what they're doing here and I don't think they get the credit they deserve from the local community with all the other competing restaurants and bars around, but I've been here a hundred times and have yet to be disappointed! read more

First time visiting for dinner with my mother and my daughter who is a toddler and doesn't like to sit for very long. We arrived pretty early before the dinner rush on a Friday night. We parked in the back parking lot, they have an entrance in the back which made it super convenient. The decor is really nice and it was very clean. We ordered 3 dishes and they were all equally delicious! We ordered pork fried rice, general taos chicken and mixed vegetables with chicken and shrimp in brown sauce. The amount of shrimp was surprising I was expecting 3 tiny shrimp like most places serve ..but oh no not here they week huge and plenty on the dish. My toddler who is very picky ate everything on her plate! My mother ordered tea and she said it was really different yet delicious she enjoyed it very much. There was a young gentleman waiter who was not our waiter but he was so sweet and came over and talked to us and made my daughter laugh. I didn't get his name,but he was very courteous! Had a party here recently, with about 15 people. They easily took my reservation a few weeks prior, and I enjoyed all the festive spooky decor. Food was delicious and good portion sizes (I had the General Tso's chicken). That being said, I only deducted a star because our poor waiter was the only one stuck serving all 15 people. Also, the people who got sushi had to wait an additional 15 minutes for it to be ready while everyone else got their food...so I felt bad for them. First time eating here and honestly, we weren't impressed. The food was ready quickly and the staff was very friendly. The shumai was tasty but the other dumplings left something to be desired. The chicken from the broccli brown sauce entree was good but the broccoli was undercooked and didn't taste great, and the pad thai was very under seasoned. Also NEVER seen an asian food place in my life that won't sub fried rice for white rice, and the worst part about that is it isn't even offered as a side - you have to spend $10 just to get fried rice with your food. I am very hard to please with American-Chinese cuisine which is laundered for the American palate. Most Asian restaurants of such genre dishes are usually too sweet. Some of their dishes are authentically Asian. To some, a number of their dishes may taste a little different than the usual Americanized Asian dishes, i.e., the Pad Thai, which is made authentically to the region. A very quiet yet elegant scene. I got a "Walnut Chicken and Shrimp" dinner dish. It was both sweet and tangy. The Shrimp was bathed in a cream lime sauce that was gentle (not too much citrus to overpower the shrimp) while the chicken was covered in a tangy brown sauce. The combination offered a sweet and tangy combination. My date enjoyed the Volcano Sushi with spicy tuna and claimed it was delicious (I am not a Sushi fan, but it really looked well assembled). I often get a roll or two of sushi for an appetizer and it's always spot on-if you're not a fan of raw sushi I highly recommend the sweet potato tempura roll! Asian fusion restaurant in Islip has a nice interior and service to match. The menu is a blend of Chinese, Sushi, and Southeast Asian. Tried the Vietnamese summer rolls which, in no way shape or form, resembled in any way a Vietnamese summer roll. Instead, a hacked to bits roll with avocado and mango instead of mint and the vermicelli spread out on the side. Instead of peanut sauce to dip, basic Chinese duck sauce. I saw something on the menu only offered on the lunch menu, Malaysian curry. The server was nice enough to tell them to make it for me anyway. Unfortunately, it tasted nothing like curry. Tasted like burned peanut sauce with chicken, veggies and tofu. Not appetizing at all. Equally disappointing was the Indonesian sambal which tasted like the Mongolian beef I order from a Chinese take out place. Perhaps this place's forte is sushi because their cooked dishes, though nicely presented, are a misfire. Again, the service keeps me from giving this place only one star. Friendly and courteous and they do offer free wifi. Prices are a tad high for the signature dishes but average to reasonable for everything else. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place for Asian fare. I'm sure it's great for sushi but the cooked entrees were a mess. read more

I am so happy this place opened up and that it's good! (I loved the place years ago with the same location). Anyway the wonton soup was different than any I've ever had...literally DELICIOUS! The wonton was light the broth incredibly flavorful. All four of us enjoyed our meals...spicy, light, even the General Taos was different in a good way. My southeast Asian inspired shrimp was spicy, but not burning. I have to say that we didn't try the sushi because we all felt like we would be cheating on our favorite sushi place across the street (koi kookier). The appetizers sampler was pretty good, a mix of dumplings (vegetable, shrimp shumai, chicken dumplings, duck dumplings and Chinese dim sum) for an entree I got the sesame chicken and pineapple fried rice, the sesame chicken was def above average and the pineapple rice was good (I prefer my fried rice with a little more soy sauce) the rice is definitely large enough to share with 2 people, the chicken is enough for 1 person unless you're sharing multiple entrées. My wife got some sushi it looked pretty good and definitely fresh.
