Delightful meal midweek with some friends ! We arrived for Happy Hour with $7 cocktails which were good along with some warm edamame. It was not busy at all, and we were there early and parked in the back lot, but there are not many spaces. I had a ginger salad with fresh iceberg lettuce and a nice ginger sauce. My entree of Honey Walnut Shrimp and Chicken was delicious ! I suggest getting the Creamy Lime sauce on the side,as I did so that I could use as much as I wanted. The shrimp had a tempura coating and the chicken had a honey coated spicy flavor. It came over rice noodles, a few hidden green beans and some brown rice. I took home half of it, it was a large serving. Others had seaweed salad, sushi rolls, soup and everyone was happy with their food. We ordered a bunch of food from wonton soup, spare ribs, sesame chicken, steamed veggies, egg rolls, chicken and broccoli, etc. Everything was very tasty and didn't feel overly drenched in sauce but was still flavorful. I love this place. This is our new go to sushi Spot since our old one closed. The fish is always incredibly fresh, I love the sweetheart roll especially. My husband says that sashimi is to die for. I love the rock shrimp. And we order a specialty roll for my daughter, and they're super accommodating. The server knows us after only two or three visits, and they always give us a really big table even though there's only three of us, without us asking. I can't say enough good things both about the service and about the food! read more

I've gotten take-out from Mango Tango before. They have some amazing lunch deals! I personally wouldn't recommend the pad thai, it just doesn't taste like pad thai should, but I am kind of a Thai food snob. The sushi is fresh and delicious though, I would get lunch from here again! The interior is very nice and would be great for dining in, also! The staff was polite and sweet, service was quick. My wife and I have been here a few times, we like the Chilean Sea Bass, but I never felt a good vibe from the waiters, the same two are flaky, sometimes they greet you nicely most of the time, they ignore you, we like our food hot, always ask before we are served please we like our food hot, they never seem to get it right, although the food is good, the service is lacking, today we decided, it would be our last time there, my wife's glass had a lipstick mark on it, when she brought it to the waiters attention, he got annoyed, and swapped it out with the glass on the adjacent table, with a very nasty demeanor, the food came out lukewarm warm, sorry today you lost a customer read more

I do not recommend Pad Thai from here.....it's cooked in a wet sauce like drunken noodles.....I ordered 'extra spicy' and still got 'mild-no kick whatsoever'. This is one of those must try places! My cousin Maria, her boyfriend Rich, and I had a fantastic sushi dinner here with magnificent service and just outstanding sushi. Actually we had maki, most of them were from the specialty list and really, I cant rave enough. The way to make the customer happy is go easy on the rice have large chunks of fish and fillings and that's just what you get at Mango Tango. There were other Asian dishes on the menu and I can imagine they are just as excellent. You must go here if you read this review. It was a real five star dining experience. read more

Update 11/04/17 -- Thanks for replying! You can definitely tell the sushi is delivered daily... I'm enjoying the tuna entre as we speak. I can't believe how incredibly and consistently fresh the fish is... Practically still swimming. A delicious treat to myself on a stressful saturday night. The staff here is incredibly friendly and had remembered my name in just a few visits. I am usually one to take out so I can veg out & pig out on my couch, but every time I've been to sit down my food has been incredibly well prepared and brought to the table unimaginably fast. I'm a huge huge fan of the Tuna Entree, i've uploaded a pic of what it came with attached to this review (minus the sake!). Thanks for the consistently awesome food. You're doing wonders for my taste buds. Original review: A great local spot! Mango tango has delicious sushi and if you order for pickup it's ready incredibly quickly. Deliveries are fast as well. The fish is fresh and the lunch specials are the bomb. Their chinese food is more expensive than your local take out joint but the quality is much higher and you won't regret it. I took my daughter and son-in-law on a weekday night. Very clean very tentative to the patrons, but one thing, when they say it's closing time they really do want you out we did get in there very late like 8:30 and they close at 9:30 but we did order a lot of food and an hour simply wasn't enough also for waiting for it to be cooked so that was my only regret so make sure you go early enough and you will enjoy the food and the prices and quality extremely well. read more

This place is extremely underrated. The food is delicious, and the menu options are so diverse everyone can get what they want. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. Shrimp pad Thai was amazing and portions are large enough for leftovers. Sushi rolls are different and the fish is fresh. Definitely one of the better Asian fusion places around. read more

Delicious!! Great place for sushi and Asian seafood! My top recommendation is Fire Wok! Amazing! A variety of seafood in Thai coconut curry. Yummo! Also the Alaska roll is super fresh and refreshing! The Super crunchy shrimp roll was not my favorite of its kind (since I order it anywhere I eat sushi. Here it was a little too mushy, like the cream cheese was warm too long). But we tried a few other rolls (forget the names) and they were all good too. Also tried the Szechuan Peppercorn chicken and Thai Mango chicken, both delicious. I'm surprised there wasn't a very big hot tea selection here. Otherwise excellent! read more

Came here purely looking at the great reviews and was very disappointed. The server was very weird and just came to the table never saying a word. The salad I received looked awful. The dressing was clumpy and tasted like it was expired. The crab rangoon was also terrible and had an off taste to it. When I brought it to the attention of the waiter he was very confrontational about it. Needless to say I won't be coming back. I don't know if this was an off day for them but the whole place gave me Chinese take out vibes that try to cook sushi and Thai dishes. read more

Pretty standard fare here. The sushi was decent. I tried the volcano, house, lobster, and spicy lobster. They were all good but not really anything special. One of the rolls had avocado on it that may have been thinned too much. The consistency was off. Additionally, I wasn't impressed with the service. They weren't busy but I went long periods without a drink and it took way too long to get the check. Next time I'm in islip I will seek other options. read more

I started out not in love with this place. I've only ever gotten take out and I wasn't super impressed with the sushi that I started with. Let me just say, I crave this place often. The chicken with mixed vegetables lunch special is my absolute favorite lunch special anywhere. It's delicious, fresh, reasonably priced and perfectly sauced. We love this place. It's our go to for date nights, take out and delivery. The sushi is wonderful, the mini spring rolls are perfectly cooked and the sauce they come with is spot on. Edamame is a serving for 2 easily. To be honest, we are making our way through the menu and we are yet to come across food poorly made or tasting bad. It's cheaply priced and we recommend it to anyone in town. The bar across the road is a great place to wait if you are waiting on take out. read more

Really awful service. It's a "slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am" restaurant without the "thank you." Mains come out before you're even halfway through the appetizer. The servers are usually rude and surly - they definitely don't want to be there. I'll take my hard-earned dollars elsewhere. read more

miso soup was bland and had no taste, shrimp broccoli had a fishy smell, brown sauce was good but they only gave very little sauce, angel hair noodles was bland, everything needed some salt or soy sauce, they gave us hot oil which was also very bland and had zero heat, we ended up having to put a lot of soy sauce and sriracha just to add some flavor to the food. 10/10 Extremely good service. Waiter checked up on us multiple times to check if we needed anything; he was polite and fluent in English and Cantonese Chinese. The appetizers were not bad. All the dishes that they served were slightly more than one person's serving (in a table of 2 men and 5 women, it took all of us a bit more work to completely finish eating or we has just a bit left on our plate). I personally enjoyed the Beef with Szechuan sauce, though it can't be compared with actual Szuchuan spice at all; very mild spiciness, but still, very delicious and satisfying. I wouldn't recommend the Sesame Chicken; the dish is simply a lot of soft sesame chicken and only a few vegetables. The desert is quite expensive; $8 for four scoops of ice-cream! Everything on the desert menu is $8 (tiramisu cake, mango sorbet in mango shell...) Still, I greatly enjoyed my dinner there. Lots of space. Roomy. Comfortable booth seats.
