We were excited to try this place. The reviews were good. We were on the waitlist prior to arriving. When we got there I asked if the bar was open to sit so that we didn't have to wait longer to be seated. This is where it took a turn for the worse. Oh... and we got there at 12:00. The waitlist said to be there by 12:09. So... obviously we were there early. We sat at the bar and it took the bartender at least 10 minutes to get to us. Now I understand that she was busy, but ten minutes is quite a bit of time. My friend along with another gentlemen poured their own coffee several times because they never came back to refill or ask if a refill was needed. We ordered our food and I looked at my watch and it was 12:52. I asked the bartender lady what the status of our food was because we literally had been there for 50 min. waiting. She comes back as she's walking over to check and responds with "it was only 27 minutes"..,. Uh maybe from the point you put the order in.... That was so uncalled for.... So when she walked off we left 10.00 to cover the coffee and juice we had. As we were walking out she was coming with our food. We left because of the way she rudely spoke to me and I didn't feel that I could eat anymore after that. The food may have been great. We will never know. Surprised with the negative. Two of us ate there for the first time on 11/7/22 about 10 am. Not crowded. First thing I noticed was the clean, open decor..really nice and bright. My fruity Belgian waffle was excellent and husband loved his Morning After Tacos. Ample servings and very tasty. Would offer a mug for hot coffee by request. I'm pretty picky with my eggs benedict - it's all about the hollandaise sauce. This one wasn't a standout to me. However they did kindly replace the meat with a tomato per request. I don't normally like giving bad reviews. I usually just deal with it and move on. This place was the exception. I excitedly choose this brunch restaurant to treat myself after a really crummy week/ weekend of long hours. I got here and when we sat down my first 3 drink choices were not available. They don't serve sweet tea (How??? Isn't this Texas???) And when I attempted to choose coffee options I was told that their several espresso based drink options weren't abalone because "The espresso machine is missing a part, it's been like that since we first opened." Why have so many drinks on the menu that aren't even an option. If they have never had a working espresso machine they should have pulled them from the menu. I settled for hot chocolate. Which was admittedly the only thing that tasted ok I ordered the gypsy skillet which boasted diced ham, onions, mushrooms and a blend of melted cheeses served with eggs and brunch potatoes with your choice of bread. I ordered a biscuit with a side of gravy. When my food came out had barely any cheese to speak of. After digging for a few minutes I found what appeared to be a small spoonful of cheese in one small portion of the dish. My disappointment didn't stop short there, because the mushrooms were still raw and cold, as well as more than half the onions. The potatoes tasted decent, but not enough to redeem this sad cold halls cooked breakfast skillet. The skillet itself was cold, so that should have been my first clue. The biscuit was one that I've seen in Sam's club that comes in a card board tray, pre baked. They hadn't even tried to feign having fresh biscuits. There were char marks where they'd attempted to either toast or warm up the biscuit on the grill but it was dry, cold, and stale with parts of it actually being hard. The gravy couldn't even save it. My husband ordered a simple breakfast. 3eggs scrambled with cheese, bacon and brunch potatoes, and also a biscuit. His biscuit was the same cold, stale, dry hard brick with slight char marks. His eggs has a small dollop of melted cheese covering about a silver dollar sized spot on the side of his scrambled eggs, which was definitely disappointing given that it wasn't even enough to try to stir into the rest of his eggs. The potatoes were, again... decent. However when he bit into the bacon, which had appeared to be nicely cooked strips of crisp bacon. He just stopped eating. I asked what was wrong and he handed the bacon to me. I tried it and it was the most bland sad tasting bacon we had both ever tried. After a brief discussion about what to do about the experience, we both decided to just pay and leave. There was no point in making a big deal of it. I do my best not to be a Karen, as I've worked in the service industry. It obviously wasn't the waitresses fault the food was awful, or that 4 out of the 5 coffee options weren't available. We asked for our check, paid the ridiculous price of nearly 40 dollars for this atrocity of a breakfast and left. I am however kind of surprised that when she came to the table with the check and saw 2 still full plates of food she didn't bother asking if something was wrong with the food. We ended up eating microwaved corn dogs when we got home instead of risking our luck somewhere else. It was a sad experience. read more

$5 FOR A GLASS OF OJ?!?! have always liked Mangos and today was no different. The food was excellent as was the service. I continue to be amazed that they still charge $5 for a glass of OJ. I know it is fresh squeezed but even at $0.79 for a large orange it should not cost $5 for a glass. I would rather have a reasonably priced glass of OJ from a bottle than their $5 version. read more

The skillet from the menu is delivered in a mini cast iron skillet, which truly made it a great presentation. I think if the temperature was just a bit higher when the food was delivered, it would truly make this place all 5 stars. By the time the dish gets to the table, it seems to be the temperature of food that's been off the grill for a bit. The first time I went here the service was a bit lackluster: wait times were high for placing an order and receiving food, when food was delivered it was placed in such a way that the toast immediately slid across the table and no replacement was offered (it wasn't even acknowledged as off the plate). The second visit was much better! Overall, I would come here again. read more

Although the food was good, they could use a bit of organization help. Our food came out missing hash browns and pancakes, which was no big deal but took about 15 minutes to get those items. We sat at a long table with 5 seats on each side, when seated, our party of 3 was on one end and party of 4 on the other, no big deal, there was a seat in between of buffer. But after party of 4 got up, they then seated a party of 6 on opposite end so we were basically sitting with each other, it was very awkward and I was glad we were finishing up and could leave. read more
