I love the ritual of going to Mangos... the drive, the views, the ghost town of Gilman that is just hanging off edge of Battle Mountain... the tiny little town of Redcliff. The bar itself is so cool, with the model bridge behind the bar, and it definitely has that rustic chic- thang going for it... Although it definitely has become "tourista-fied" with the souvineer shirts and stickers....(Hello Hard Rock Cafe!) The grilled veggie nachos are decadant, literally the plate of nachos can probably feed a 3rd world country. Great fish tacos, burgers, etc. You can always strike up a conversation with a local at the bar. This place is hardly ever packed, unless there's a concert. Great job with having a bus back and forth from Vail, because as we all know, driving Hwy 24 at midnight isn't the safest idea. I still haven't worked up the courage to try the vodka concotion sitting on the bar that has a snake in the bottom, but maybe one day you'll see me at Mangos, drunk off my ass, and dare me to do a shot with you... When I went they were out of most all the food on the menu, so I had to have nachos, which were yummy, but they also didnt have a liqour license so I had to drink water, which I didnt like since I wanted to relax after skiing with some good drinks and food, hopefully next time they are up and running 100%. read more

Great find! Old mining town between Tennessee Pass and Minturn, Colorado. Beautiful bar and restaurant with a great menu. The Fish Tacos were recommended by friends before I tried Mango's. Love this place. We took the snow machines to it from Vail pass for lunch and were not disappointed from the owners 2 labs the kids played with most of the lunch to some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. Everyone really liked their meal, and the portions were huge. read more

Well this was disappointing. Waited for a table, saw a guy trying to hunt down a waitress to pay his bill (keep in mid there were people waiting to sit). Sat down and waited 10 min, then a waiter came and asked if we were "ok" but saw we hadn't ordered so he brought us water...then, no kidding, 10 more minutes of waiting so I went to find a waitress to ask to order. Took our order and the food came 1 hour and 20 minutes later. No silverware, I asked and it never came. I had to get up and found a random fork on the bar so I took ot and washed it in the bathroom myself. Food was ok, nothing amazing. This is now in my top 5 worst dining experiences ever!! read more

I think I could give it 4 stars because of the expectations when going in. Coming from SLC, Utah, we were in town for the Teva Mountain Games in Vail and somehow we stumbled up this tiny town of Red Cliff. Of course we came in late at night, and because of it's small size/old mining equipment, it reminded us of a horror film. (no offense to the locals there) We walked in to what we thought was going to be a dive, and we were welcomed with a really relaxed environment that has a better decor than places that I have been to in my rich hometown in Ohio. I remember having a steak sandwich and you must order their fries. I know fries seem like something of "just" a side, but they were delicious. Good prices, great service, cool decor, and some interesting stories about an old mining town tucked into the Rockies. If ever going to the Teva Mountain Games/in the area, look em up. It's worth it to grab a sandwich 'n' beer (especially at the price comparison to Vail.) read more

Wasn't sure what to expect from the only restaurant in Red Cliff. Pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, amazing food, high value and friendly staff. The Cheech 'n Chonga is prepared with pork smoked for hours and was the best thing I've enjoyed in quite a while. Can't wait to return and share this find with friends. read more

Mangos offers a free shuttle service from the Vail transportation center, although a tip should be given. I reserved the van for 10 people the day before. Most of us enjoyed the scenic winding mountain drive, the rest were scared sh*tless. We were the only group in the upstairs area and had free reign to the darts and video games. We enjoyed many delicious fish tacos (the special of the night) and pitchers of margaritas/beer. We were ALL very grateful for the ride home after all the amazing food and drinks. read more

Stumbled upon this little gem of a town yesterday while out riding, and decided lunch was in order. I think that this is the only restaurant in Red Cliff. With amazing views from the roof top patio and a delightful server this was the perfect place to stop. I had the blue cheese burger and it was amazing! It went nicely with my Dale's Pale Ale that they had on tap. If you find yourself in the tiny town of Red Cliff make sure to stop at Mango's you won't be disappointed that you did! read more

We kinda stumbled upon Mangos while driving to Aspen. Good burgers and a nice third story deck to enjoy the sunshine and mountain scenery. Red Cliffs is a little town kinda of hidden away. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos. read more

Had their Pastrami sandwich, wow! As good as I have every had! Also their 5 large wings with Jamaican rub, very good. Me and the wife split both with some Bonfire IPA drafts, great meal. Mike took care of us, great server, he recommended the pastrami. Meet one of the new owners, who said he will be expanding the menu. One of the BEST restaurants in the Vail Valley! Awesome fish tacos! We went on a Thursday night ($3 fish taco/ $3 margarita night) and had the greatest time. I visited Mango's with some friends of mine on June 9th. After talking it up and excited to share this place with them, I left embarrassed and extremely disappointed, nearly disgusted. We had a long wait for our food even though there was only 1 other table at the time. When our taco baskets came out, the food was cold, and the tacos were the skimpiest I have ever seen - barely enough filling to call it a taco, and corn chips from a bag. Then, we were charged $12 each for such substandard fare. I won't recommend it again. read more

We drove over 1k miles from central IL to Vail and the best experience we had with "the locals" was by far found at Mango's. We were there for a couple hours (5-7ish). The patrons were all friendly, fun, and engaging. The employees were amazingly inviting, helpfully, and attentive. The Margaritas were as good as we've had and the fish tacos are good enough to drive back for during Lent. The live music was great even for our 6yr old. Not too loud to prevent conversation. A mix of recognized songs and entertaining originals. Thursday live music, Margarita, and taco specials made the evening enjoyable and affordable. The experience made us forget that we were tourists in a tourist area. Can't wait to return. If you don't check it out while your in the area, you made a mistake. read more

I love Mangos. First off, the drive is a gorgeous one through windy mountain roads. Which makes going their all the more fun and exciting. The food is awesome. The quesidillas are great. I love the fish tacos and the spicy mango tacos. The spinach dip with chips is an awesome appetizer. The fish and chips are good as well--I love their fries. overall, the vibe of the place is relaxed, and cool. You wouldn't know you were in a little town by the decor on the inside and the excellent food. It is such a fun experience and the food is amazing. So worth the drive. read more
