The food in this place was AMAZING. When you walk in, it looks like just a little pub. It's small with BIG taste. The bartender/waitress was attentive even though it was just her up front. She warned us the food would come out slowly as it was just one cook but it came out one after the other. All of the food was delicious.

The coolest thing about this place was that we used the trail from Vail Pass to snowmobile ourselves to it. The place is a a really cool bar/restaurant with amazing tasting food. They have a space upstairs but we sat downstairs due to their only being one attendant taking care of people. Our waitress/bartender was fast, friendly and gave great suggestions. Restrooms were clean, food was served hot and prices were not crazy bad. They have a Yelp check in discount of 10% as well! Definitely going to try to visit on our next visit.

I loved this place - great atmosphere, friendly staff in spite of being an incredibly busy Friday night. I had the fish taco (lived up to the reputation from previous posts) and fries - deep fried perfectly! Can't wait to come here again when overnighting for next 14er ascent!

What an amazing chicken sandwich and homemade chip!!!

We stop in Red Cliff,CO for the night and found this amazing restaurant!!! Both the food and the service was awesome!!

Pulled pork sandwich and cliffs burger

Super yummy food and great service !! Food came out quick and was delicious. Pulled pork was juicy, nachos were cheesy and burger was meaty. Perfect pit stop between sledding!

Mango's rooftop is relaxing for both humans and dogs.

We have been coming to Mango's Mountain Grill in Red Cliff since we stayed in a B&B in Minturn more than a decade ago. Our B&B host said Mango's had the best fish tacos anywhere, and she was right! Since then, we have moved to Leadville, about 45 minutes away, and visit Mango's when hiking or biking in the area or just traveling through. We have probably been there a dozen times. We love their selection of beer (and hard cider!) on tap. The fish tacos are still a favorite. You order by the taco, so you can have one or ten. I am a pescatarian, so in addition to the fish tacos, I have tried the grilled stuffed avocado (with black beans and corn), the homemade black bean burgers, the Impossible burgers, and all of the fries--spiral ("Sidewinder") fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. The onion rings are the best and my favorite splurge anywhere! I have also enjoyed the occasional fish or veggie special. My omnivore husband loves the burgers and the other meat-based dishes. Service has always been friendly and the atmosphere deliciously relaxing. A great feature is that dogs are welcome on the outside patio and the roof seating (which is not always open). If we are hiking with our dogs, we can all go to Mango's! That is fitting, because Mango's was named for the owner's dog.

Found this remote gem after an afternoon of hiking the Mt. Holy Cross wilderness trail.. great tasty food and service from Chuck and Ms. Sydney on the rooftop patio! Tried the 13 mile rugged backroad via Shrine Pass to connect to I-70.. definitely need a vehicle in great condition and clearance. Took about an hour and many places could not drive faster than 5mph! Scenery gorgeous and very very remote.

The elk chili was great! Grilled cheese was ok. A nice little escape from the cold on a trip to Denver. Glad to have found it but likely would not be a repeat customer.

Dollar bills hang from the ceiling. Ha!

We gladly drive out of our way just to eat here! The food is really that good! I had the burger (cooked to perfection) and one the best I've ever eaten. My Hubs had the Rueben. Yumm!!!!!! Great Margaritas, mountain atmosphere, super friendly, happy people. And the drive south from I-70 on 24 is gorgeous! Google Mangos to find it. Easy to miss the turn right before the breathtaking bridge. Worth the trip!

They weren't too familiar with the breakfast at the places we mentioned, but one person immediately said, "There's The Little Diner right down the street. It's very good and has even been featured on the Food Network." We decided to give it a try, and we are very glad we did. We arrived around 8:30 in the morning and sat at the counter. At the time we were the only customers there. A very nice lady brought us water and got me a coffee while we looked over the menu. It actually took us a while to decide because there were so many great sounding options. As we sat there deciding, more and more people started coming in. My wife ordered the sausage gravy over a biscuit with eggs and cheese grits, and I ordered the Eggs Benedict with potatoes. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The flavors matched the presentation too. My wife said the sausage gravy was outstanding, and my Eggs Benedict was excellent as well. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were very good, and the hollandaise sauce had great flavor. While sitting at the counter, we spent some time talking with our server. She told us she had been there since shortly after the diner first opened. Unfortunately, she also explained that the building is scheduled to be demolished so condos can be built above the property, and they are unsure whether the diner will be able to return afterward. It's honestly sad to hear about a place this good possibly being pushed out because of rising development and rental costs. I understand building owners want to maximize profits, but it's disappointing when small local businesses that people truly enjoy are forced out by higher rents and redevelopment. Places like this are what give towns character. Overall, this place was excellent. Great food, friendly people, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find while traveling.

I usually dine at the bar where either Connor or Brandon are not only offering service with a smile, but are also welcoming everyone who walks through the door! Their custom cocktails are awesome, but I go for their insanely extensive wine by the glass menu!! Caymus, Silver Oak, Duckhorn, Quilt, and about 40 other high end wines are all offered by the glass at Northside! Both 6oz and 9oz pours are available. The dining staff, are professional, pressed, and knowledgeable about wine, food, and professional fine dining service levels. The dining room offers beautiful white linen covered in butchers paper, with the perfect level of lighting to see both the menu and the guests you are dining with. The dining room and porch are modern and clean. The menu items, created by Chef Noah Bender, are delicious! Hand cut steaks and Prime Rib are favs, but don't be afraid to try their pappardelle Bolognese or the fantastic fresh "sea to table" black cod or trout! It's dynamite! You will find the service in the dining room attentive yet not overwhelming. Northside Kitchen to me is one of the most underrated fine dining restaurants in the Vail Valley!! There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. Definitely not an experience I'd repeat don't waste your money here.

And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge.
