Hot and New in Dunedin! Worth the hype A bit pricey but great fresh food Asian fusion so a lot of options. Thai food won't be traditional Thai but the flavors pop! A lot of items are spicy The night vibe has Manhattan restaurant vibe Speakeasy in the back on werke

Went to soft opening and it was packed. A bit of a wait but our hostess was super nice and said we could sit outside right away on the patio if not too cold for us. Nice evening so we did. Next to a parking lot but not noisy at all in the evening. Sierra our waitress was very good at answering all of our questions, (especially about the homemade coconut curry) and super nice. WIDE variety of menu choices from sushi to bowls to tacos. We had the duck dumplings as appetizer. Delicious. Then we had the Pad Thai noodles and the Bohemian Chickie bowl. Absolutely wonderful. The owner came around and asked how everything was as well. Check it out.

Mangosteen Dunedin is an absolute win for our town. From the moment you walk in, it feels like an experience, not just dinner. Clean, modern, welcoming vibe that works for date night or a night out with friends. The food is outstanding. Fresh, creative sushi with bold flavors that actually balance, not overpower. The Pad Thai is rich, comforting, and done right. Every plate we tried was dialed in and beautifully presented. Cocktails are solid and well crafted, perfect to sip and enjoy the evening. Service was friendly, attentive, and relaxed. No rush, no pressure, just great hospitality. This one's worth your time. Such a great place to eat! The noodle were fantastic, perfectly seasoned and sauces. The sake flight was amazing too. The exterior was great with the exception the caterpillars everywhere. The service was exceptional. Overall we will be back!

The food was the star of the show at this newly opened restaurant in Dunedin. Turn the corner on Broadway south of Main for a wonderful Asian fusion meal. We tried a variety including dumplings, yakitori (pork belly), edmame, the wild river roll and Drunken Noodles. We are going again tonight for the noodles. They are the best we've ever eaten. everything was great but the drunken noodles were our favorite. The food came out incredibly fast, considering it was standing room only in the very busy restaurant. Our only complaint was that when it was time for us to go. We had to ask our waitress for the check four times.

Mangosteen Dunedin is open and I highly recommend this great new eatery in downtown Dunedin. Beautiful decor - very inviting and welcoming. The food was fantastic . Started with pork dumplings- delicious - main course I had the duck tacos and Greg had the Korean beef tacos . Food was beautifully served and tasted delicious . The menu is very diverse with something for everyone. Can't wait to go back .

Good portions! Great food! Found this place because we were craving Asian food! The room in the back is definitely great for a date.

My husband and I love Dunedin but can never decide on where to eat, but we found this great option. The weather was perfect so we sat outside on the covered patio and had fantastic service. We shared the Fresh Rolls, he had sushi and I had the Drunken Noodles. The food arrived very quickly and done to perfection.

Yes! Drunken noodles and red curry really hit the spot. I wasn't even craving Thai food but that was awesome.

We just wanted to post this review so that people know before they drive across town to eat there. So here it is, the answer to you question "doesn't he know all restaurants do that?" No, they don't. There's an important distinction between "closing time" and "last seating," and yes, different restaurants do it differently. IMHO, there's a right way and a wrong way. If a restaurant publishes 3:00 PM as its closing time, the ordinary customer interpretation is that you can walk in at 2:48 and be served. For many, quality restaurants, who care about their hangry customers, what they do is seat people up until the posted closing time, and the doors stop admitting new customers. People already inside finish their meals. The staff then does closing work after the last customers leave. So if the restaurant wants the dining room empty and employees effectively finished by 3:00, it really ought to advertise an earlier closing time.

It was crazy hot so we couldn't sit on the patio but at sunset it was still a stunning view. Kalby was an absolute pleasure to be serviced by. She was attentive and used her talents to help recommend entrees from the menu. Our starter was the bulgogi skewers which were perfectly balanced with sweet and Korean spice. The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! Everyone should be able to experience these. But ocean hai on your list as a must try place for sure.

The Egg Foo Young was burnt, and the gravy was black, and congealed, not gravy. The Lo Mein tasted as if it had sat on the stove for three days, and heated. The egg rolls were also burnt. The Fried Rice was tasteless, and smelled like old grease. The noodles (you know the ones you put in your soup were stale). The Pork Spare Ribs were tough, and were swimming in red grease. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about out food, and was told all their food was made "fresh." Nope, it arrived too fast! This is the first time we've never had leftover Chinese food, as I threw it all out, $65 worth. As I was throwing out the food, I realized I should have taken pictures. Rookie mistake. We don't get a lot of take out.
