Had food catered here because my go-to Pinoy place, Sawali, closed on me without warning. Come to find out, the owners decided to retire and sold them the business. Anyway, my guests enjoyed their food, which was equally as good and delicious as Sawali. I took one star away for their prices being higher than Sawali for the portions you get. Good food joint with a point-point concept (turo-turo) - you point at the dish you wish to order. Great lumpia - remains crispy after a few hours. Unfortunately, huge irk is its inconsistency (except the lumpia). You can order the same dishes over and over again - but none will ever taste the same way. It's a hit-or-miss kind of situation. One day they hit the jackpot - the best ever (dinuguan) pork dish you've had, and sucks that you ordered a small tub that day coz it makes you crave it. The following week, you come early to snag a large tub - only to end up with the most bland (dinuguan) dish. So...it leads you to the next days stuck with that large tub for days trying not to finish awful food coz it's wasteful to just toss it in the trash. That inconsistency applies not only to one or two dishes - but to everything with the exception of their lumpia. I guess I misspoke then - they are consistent - in being inconsistent. I hope they get to identify what's the best way and recipe to cook their dishes and make note of it so they maintain that good authentic Filipino quality reputation. Ordered a party tray here about a week before an event. Ordering process was simple and via telephone. They're located off a somewhat busy street. You can easily find them however. Got here Saturday morning and the staff was buzzing. Everyone was very kind and friendly. They offer a variety of snacks off the shelves and freshly cooked hot foods you can order cafeteria style. Prices are very reasonable and looked delicious! The food we ordered was vegetable and regular lumpia and let me tell you, they were a hit at the party! I confess, I even ate a couple on the road home because the scent in my car was irresistible. I'm definitely going back to try a combo plate. Great place with the nicest people! read more

I REALLY love this spot and their food. The standouts are their lumpia and their turon! Super delicious. I always order from them when my friends have a potluck. They expect their lumpia now. Parking is a small dirt lot right next to the restaurant and a few parking street spots right outside the front door. My only star off is for the inconsistency of the restaurant hours. I drive home from work same time everyday and sometimes when I crave them for dinner, I see they're closed. And then they'll be open the next day at the same time. So it's a gamble. We moved to Buena Park in 2020 and couldn't believe our luck that we had a Filipino restaurant near us. And even better, we love their food! My kids are really picky about lumpia shanghai and won't go anywhere else. We've had them cater two of our parties. The cost is reasonable and the food is ready on time. Today I had sinigang, and my son had adobo. All so good, no complaints. They have a few tables there but we took the food home. Of course, had to get turon, so sweet and crunchy, hits the spot. We called ahead for an order to pick up on Easter - pancit and lumpia. This was my first time trying from here. When I went to pick up at 1030AM you could tell they were super busy preparing many catering orders. Yet they had plenty of food options at the buffet as well. I was surprised to see some dishes like opo with shrimp, mungo and pinakbet (sorry for anything mispelled). So I ended up taking out various sizes of these dishes at the buffet and more. Some parties are further south from my home so Manila grille is always a perfect place on the way to pick up food (and also so I don't show up empty handed). The lumpia comes with sweet and sour sauce (not all to go places do that). It's reliable and ready at your pick up time. They have contactless payment so it's a quick and easy in/out. No cooking or cleaning required to attend your parties especially when you don't have enough time. Workers are always kind and organized especially with holiday orders! While visiting Cali from Las Vegas, we were craving Filipino food and found this on yelp. SO glad we chose this place among the other choices because they had the best Filipino food (other than my family's ;-)) I've had in a while! On the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but when we walked in at 11am there were already a lot of people in line, eating, or waiting for their orders. Everything smelled SO good, and we could smell more food cooking in the back, looks like they had a lot of party orders ready for pick up. It's a good sign when it's busy, and there's a line of trays ready to be picked up, and fresh dishes cooking in the back. Every option available looked so good. (Check out my pictures. :-) ) Everything we got was onoliscious and an overflowing size. No matter what size you get, they fill it up. I was craving breakfast, longanisa, but didn't see it available, but looking at the other photos here they have served it in the past. I assume they rotate their dishes, and have different options. We got: Pinakbet - 4.5/5 rating - (luckily I saw them bring out a fresh tray for pickup and asked if they had more because there wasn't any in the line up) --- sooo good and filled with a variety of vegetables! Lechon - 4.5/5 rating - good balance of pork meat and fat, the skin was crispy! Best I've had in a while! Green papaya or squash with soup - 4.5/5 rating - forgot the name, but this was delicious as well! Pancit (noodles) - 3.5/5 rating - was ok, I like mines a little greasy. But not bad. Lumpia Shanghai -- 4/5 rating - crisp, and a must get! I would ask for Vinegar next time. But they did give the chili sauce. Veggie dish with sauce -- 4/5 rating - cauliflower, broccoli, string beans, celery, bell peppers -- delish and a great addition -- I don't see this dish often at Filipino restaurants. Battered Fried Fish -- 4.5/5 rating - This was my favorite item there, I was craving something crispy and it's sorta like crsipy battered fish nuggets. Onoliscious! We also got Leche Flan, canned drinks, and some other items. I was craving Pandesal but didn't see any. They also have some Filipino packaged snacks, chips, candies, polvorone, Turon (Banana lumpia) etc. The customer service and kindness there was amazing. They really treat you like family, compared to other restaurants. Just writing and thinking about their food right now, makes me crave it. We will be back when we are in Cali! Usually, when I dine out Filipino food my review usually is "My Tita's food is way better for free." I recently called to order trays of Pancit Bihon and Lumpiang Shanghai to bring to a friendsgiving. Ordering 3 days ahead was quick and easy. It was also easy to call back and change the pick up time. When I got to the spot I noticed the dining area was pretty spacious (though empty). As they were getting my order ready, I took a look at their steam tray display. If I wasn't going to a Friendsgiving, I would have ordered, it looked good. I also noticed about 3 or 4 people picking up food ahead of me, so it's got a good reputation After they got my food (that was conveniently covered and placed on cardboard tray) and was placing it in my trunk, I stole a few pieces of lumpia to sample it. It was so freshly cooked, they too hot to hold, I had to hot potato them to my driver's seat and place them on a napkin for a bit. I took a bite while driving and the lumpia was legit delicious. I finished the other stolen pieces soon after and was glad I put the rest in the trunk, or the tray would have gotten a lot lighter by the time I made it to Friendsgiving. To wrap up this review, it was every person at the dinner's first time having Filipino food, and I'm glad it was from this place. Everyone loved the pancit and the lumpia including me. And I won't dare to say it's better than my Tita's, but it's a very close second. read more
