I've been coming here over the last year since I moved to the area. It was the only place in the area that did a good job for a few extra bucks. I will say it's become hit or miss though. Lately I've felt rushed even when it was slow. I stopped getting gel to take a break and I honestly don't see the point in a regular manicure as they whip right through it. My nails never last more than a day. I've had more regular manicures than I can count and by far have never felt that rushed. The corners of my nails didn't even have nail polish on them.... sloppy work. When I first started coming I was impressed by the cleanliness. Now I'm not sure it's worth coming back to. I feel like I'm getting ripped off and I don't want to leave more stressed out than when I came through the door. They are ok. I really want to like this place.....but it should be better. Pros- clean, well oiled machine, variety of services. Cons- busy, rushed, more expensive than others, regular mani is rushed, services are not consistent, crappy parking. Every time I get a gel manicure here it never sets correctly. My nails always are left feeling tacky/sticky which leads them to have imprints or dents in the coloring. It's likely due to them not curing correctly which can be caused my incompatible lights or too thick of polish. The polish didn't seem thick and the technician applied only two coats but the lights may be the problem. The nails on one hand definitely felt very hot when under the lights. The actual manicure is good but it's frustrating to have to call and go back in for correction. read more

I am reluctant to write a review but please be careful when selecting services that require a shared service such as dip manicures. I ended up with a nail fungus that I can only attribute to Manipedi since I rarely indulge in manicures and dips. I selected a dip because I wanted it to last so I didn't need to make return trips. This place used to be my go-to. I'd agree with other reviewers. Services have become totally rushed. I booked a quick manicure which is supposed to be 20-25 mins long. Start to finish the service was only 13 minutes. Specifically, the tech didn't properly clean under each nail (stopped after 5 - ?) and never touched up my nails after the final coat leaving polish on the sides. I paid an extra $10 for dazzle dry so the polish would last longer. It's day 2 and already peeling! A waste of money. read more

I've been here before and had good pedicures in the past but this visit was a complete disappointment. Not only did they keep me standing at the counter waiting for 20 minutes but the pedicure was only so-so. Normally they spend 45 mins on the pedicure but this time was a rushed job, I asked for rounded edges, and she yes, and then only cut across my toenails leaving sharp edges, I paid an extra $20 for callous removal and she only did a quick file and didn't even apply moisturizer afterwards. She also left my toenails at varying lengths and shapes, big no-no. I could have done a better job myself, which defeats the purpose of paying a professional to do it and saving me a sore back! Very disappointed in this place and would not recommend it. Go to Le Vernis across the street or Unique Nail on Linden St. instead and get much better service. PS. To top it off, they gave the woman before me a 10 minutes shoulder massage and pipped me with a 60 second cursory rub on the back! read more

I had my worst manicure experience ever. I made an appointment on line. After 20 minutes of wait, a woman came. She rushed through the whole process with the lotion in the gloves burning my hands; a shoulder massage for maybe 20 seconds; and hand "massage" a few seconds. The whole manicure lasted less than 20 minutes for what is supposed to be "relaxing" 30 minutes of service as listed on their website. Her manners are rude and service terrible. I will not be surprised if my nail color is chipped in a few days. She made me feel stressed during the whole time. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

First, they said I didn't have an appointment and only believed me when I produced the email confirmation. Without even soaking & softening the cuticles, she cut the cuticles so aggressively that she even said "let me know if this hurts". Very disappointing. I went for a dip manicure on a very slow day. despite having plenty of time, the nail tech pries my old dip manicure off with a card.. no soaking or filing down first. It was painful and left my nails damaged. during the manicure I witnessed staff be very rude to a man checking out as well as a woman who popped in to ask about availability. After the nail technician applied dip powder to my nails, she did not file or smooth my nails at all, leaving them lumpy with completely uneven edges. I was charged 85 dollars for what I can honestly say was the worse looking manicure of my like. Even my boyfriend, who never notices, admitted it was garbage. So disappointed. I have gone here for years. It has gone way down hill, although it may depend on who helps you. I won't go back unless I am desperate. They rush you at every corner. I arrived early as did my friends and still we were rushed and pushed to sit before we were ready. This is supposed to be relaxing - it is not. I've been going to this salon for a while and I have had mostly good experiences! Their gel manicures last 2 - 2 1/2 weeks and the amount they charge is pretty consistent unlike some salons that rack up your tab and force you to pay a different price then what was shown upfront. And they ask BEFORE they cut off all your nails The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because they talk to each other so much you can barely get a word in if you have to point out something. And they don't really give you much time to pick out your color before they rush you. But overall a great salon! read more

Today I went I with my aunt, cousin and sister and could not be happier with our experience! We called ahead and made an appointment but someone joined at the last second and they took us no problem! My cousin recently got surgery on her knee and is in a wheelchair so we were nervous about her being in there and being able to get a manicure! They are very accommodating and just wheeled her up to the bar where they paint nails. I was so pleased she was able to get her nails done with us even though she can't sit normally. I got a gel mani and it was awesome. Cici did it for me and she did such a clean and nice job. My sister and cousin got manicures and they loved them as well. My aunt got a pedicure and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Although the nails are priced on the higher side, I can see why. They do a great job and offer many upgrades and extras. The staff was very nice,professional and accommodating making it a relaxing visit. Finally, the salon itself was great and I loved the layout! My experience was pleasant and there is a large color selection. A regular pedicure without the full leg massage is $29 (kind of pricey but I didn't want the leg massage so it was fine for me). Not sure how much a full pedicure (w/ massage) would cost. Didn't realize the massage would cost extra; I think this is usually part of a regular pedicure. Overall good but perhaps for the price, I may not try again. Good for a girls thing where you are not concerned about how much you're spending. read more

Leaving this place feeling like a king! The staff was super nice and super professional. Made even me, a manly man, comfortable in a female dominant setting. I brought my mom here today and we both got a manicure pedicure. The service was thorough, gentle and comfortable. Interior of this place was clean and serene with soothing classical music playing in the background. With this symphony, I drifted away into paradise as my toes and hands are pampered. Do not come here. The employees are super quiet and rush through doing your nails. They do a decent job, but don't try to ask them to fix something on the nails. The manicurist i had made one of my nails very thick compared to the rest and kept on looking at it with a disappointed expression. When I politely asked her to file it down so it's even, she filed down the wrong side. When I asked again, she barely filed it. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her when I just wanted the nails I'm paying for to look good. She also cut me with the file. I have mixed feelings about this place. I came here with 8 other people and manipedi hosted us after hours, which I appreciate. However, many times, we felt very rushed and it was obvious. If you're going to decide to host a group after hours, you should be providing the same quality service and not act like you just want to get the job done so we can leave faster. It appears that the senior staff here were the ones rushing us through nail polish color selection and to the empty seats. A mani is supposed to be a relatively relaxing event, but with the staff scurrying around cleaning this and that, a senior staff member peeking over other staff's shoulders to see if they were done or even close yet made me feel very uncomfortable and not welcomed. Since I was the last one still having my nails painted, I'm sure the staff member doing my nails felt a tremendous amount of pressure to work faster. And she did, that's why my second coat doesn't match my first coat and I can clearly see there are two different nail polish coat lines on most of my nails. Overall, if you don't have a private event after hours, this is your average manicure. They clean up your cuticles and your nails, give you a pump of exfoliating hand soap to wash your hands, a quick hand massage, ask you if you like the color on one of your nails before proceeding, and finish the job without much to say. read more

The woman told me at the beginning a full set dip powder manicure would be $65 (and she saw that I already had tips on). At the end it costed $75, when I asked why - she told me it was $10 to soak off the dip I had on before. Issue is, she did not soak off my nails, and instead stuck a literal METRO CARD under the color and pulled them off my nail - tearing off the first layer of nail bed. While they took all of the tools out of a "sanitized bag", I noticed half way thru that the nail clipper she was using on me was covered in rust so thank god I have a tetanus shot. Between using rusted metal and a dirty piece of paper they got from a train station on my nails, I will not be coming back ever. I would highly recommend going to le vernis down the street over this dump. You would think that for this price, they would be able to afford some simple acetone. read more

Then, you can have the nail technician ask you for a tip, while they stand over you waiting for one. And when you say that you'll bring it before you leave, they send someone else over to collect it. My Pedicure was about 22 minutes long which seems kind of quick when you're looking for a relaxing spa application. After hearing many positive reviews, I decided to give ManiPedi a try! Initially excited, I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my finished nails. Although the lady was friendly and welcoming, she completely rushed doing my nails and did NOT focus on the smaller details at all. 1.) the sides of my nails are extremely MESSY- with some parts not even colored 2.) the part near my cuticles are UNEVEN and LIGHT in color 3.) even with the second coat, some of my nails are NOT rich with color I understand that I was the last customer and it was a very busy day. Very disappointed in my pedicure. I was in on Saturday, August 13, 2016 mid day and I was told after the negative experience that the woman who did my pedicure name was JoLee. 1. I arranged to have friends take my children out for lunch so that I could enjoy an hour to myself. It was a birthday gift to myself (birthday was day prior). 2. Started off with the woman rushing everything. Before I knew it, she was putting on my flipflops. I asked her to please use the callus remover next to my big toes. They were exactly the same as when I came in. She told me that would be extra. I asked her to please use the rough scrubbing bar (not sure of name) and please focus on the 2 areas next to big toes. She preceded to scrub so hard and fast, it was hurting awful. Clearly she was angry I asked her to do her job and it showed for the rest of my short time there. 3. I had a blue on my nails upon coming in, so one would think if you going from blue to a french all the blue would be removed. WRONG! My right big toe has a small ridge in it, so color sometimes get caught in there and needs to be buffed a little more. Did not happen! I asked her to remove the blue spot and she told me IT WAS A BRUISE!!! Are you kidding me?? She then refused to do it and started painting anyway. At this point I was so frustrated, I was ready to cry. 2 minutes later she was done. 4. Had to squeeze though another chair and over the woman's purse on the floor, grab my purse and coffee, roll her seat out of the way all the while she just stood and watched without helping. 5. Sat down at the drying station and she started massaging me as hard and aggressively as possible. I am a fan of deep tissue massages and get them often but this was out of control. Thankfully it lasted only about 45 seconds and 3 chops..then said "you pay now". Out of control! I should mention also that this big rush was not because they were busy, after the abusive less than minute massage she sat at the counter and got on her phone. I paid and left a 15% tip partly because thats the type of person I am and also because she was standing over me with hand out. I typically give over 20% when I have a great experience. I get pedicures once every 2 weeks and usually go to Kim's Nails in Newton since it is near my work. I decided since I could walk to manipedi I would give it a try. Wish I didnt! Now I paid $40 for a pedi that I have to go to Kims to redo. So this will cost $80 plus tip but it will be worth it after going to Kims. Awful, awful, awful experience! I truly look forward to Luxury Nails in Linden Square, Wellesley opening. I hope they do a better job! read more

I travel a lot due to work and i have tried many different nail spas previously. By far, i count "mani pedi" as one of the best nail salon i've ever been to. First of all, they have so many nice brand nail polish because of that it took a while for me to choose color.(i ended up choosing dark red) I actually came to celebrate my mom's bday so we both got the olive oil spa treatment. The treatment was on a sale so we took the chance for this deal. It was a bit pricey but after seeing all the serum and time they were putting in i think it was worth the money. It was really relaxing and after all, my feet feels so soft and nice. And yes! My mom loved it as well. Although i don't live in this area anymore but will definitely come back whenever i'm visiting my old folks. read more

I like this place. It's not my absolute fav ever, but they do a good job and are very friendly. I've had great gel manicures and great to pretty darn good pedicures. The only "complaint" is that I wish I didn't have to wait for a response for my reservation request when I book online. There have been a few times when it's never accepted.
