A no-frills, simple, classic Korean bakery with competitive pricing and consistency of quality. There aren't a huge selection of breads here but the ones they do carry, they do very well. My personal favorites are the gombo bread, chapsal donuts, and of course, cream puffs. Gombo bread has great texture and a nutty flavor that goes great with the milk teas next door. Chapsal donuts are chewy fried donut balls filled with nuts and sweet red bean paste, best when eaten fresh! And of course, the cream puffs... I know everyone and their dog has commented on this, but again, I reiterate: they use real pastry cream filling for their cream puffs and don't skimp out on the filling! They don't do choux au craquelin so if you're looking for the kind with the thin, crispy shells, this place is not for you. Prices have indeed gone up, but so has everywhere else, and at 50 cents a piece for proper pastry cream-filled cream puffs, you'd be hard-pressed to find a comparable place. Must order 15+ cream puffs for a box, otherwise it's a paper bag. Their korokae are a savory option that you can't go wrong with! Filled with mashed potatoes and meat, filling but not too heavy. Cookies here are also pretty simple but tasty; they're all thin, crispy butter cookies topped with walnuts, sprinkles, etc. I'm more of a soft and gooey, fresh outta the oven type of person, but even I get a craving for their butter cookies once in a while! :) For roughly around $10, I walk out with a bag of goodies that keep me fed throughout the week for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or a snack to look forward to for a midday pick-me-up. read more

Found this little bakery on yelp and after reading all the reviews, I decided to stop by after work to pick up some goodies. I bought some cream puffs, a bag of sprinkle cookies, and a cream filled bread. I wanted to get the m & m cookies as well, but didn't want to be fatty on my first visit here. The cream puffs are pretty good, considering they were only 25¢ a piece...what deal! The sprinkle cookies are yummy as well; it had a nice crisp to it and the tiny little sprinkles are quite wonderful. It's the best warm/ fresh out of the oven! so if you're lucky and get the fresh ones out of the oven they are the best. Otherwise they are good for about two days. Jokes in poor taste aside, this place has become my go to location for all things custard. I was told of this location by my future girlfriend and immediately had to check it out. According to her, Manmi custard was so thick and creamy and delicious that it was worth the arduous 10 minute drive when I had a bakery right down the street. If this place weren't cash only I could have written a really long winded review of all the things I tried. Growing up I always had the same cake for my bday as did all my other asian friends and that was of course the fruit cake. Being it was my gf's mom's bday I knew that was the route we had to go. I decided on this bakery after seeing that they have REALLY cheap cream puffs at .25cents each, what a bargain! =D Once I paid .75c for one cream puff at another bakery and it was disappointing, so I was stoked to have found this place. I drove over immediately and settled on 4 cream puffs and this other bread (forgot the name) that was .80c and it had potato in it. Both were pretty good. The bread with potato in it ended up having a savory taste, a mixture of potato, bean, and I think carrots. My sister and I shared the cream puffs and I think we are both very happy with the taste! I would give this place a 5 stars if the outside of their cream puffs tasted better, but the cream inside was good. Basically, prices are cheap and I would recommend this place. Tip: if you want to snag freshly baked loaf bread, go at 10:45am/11:00am when they are first ready as they often sell out especially if it's a weekend. At 40 each, they're very affordable. A box full can easily satisfy a medium sized office. I came in the morning, so they were still soft, fluffy, with sweet bavarian cream in the middle. By the afternoon they had gotten a bit firmer and a little stale, but that's to be expected (still good though). This bakery shines with their bavarian cream. It's very similar to the light yellow, sweet cream found in Vietnamese fruit cakes or fruit tarts. It is light years more flavorful than the frozen ones at the grocery stores that just have simple whipped cream. These are dense with flavor. We were in the area and looking for dessert, specifically Cream Puffs and this place came up as the top result. I believe this is a Korean bakery and when we walked in we were greeted by the staff, and the smell of fresh baked goods. Lots of pastries baked behind the glass counter, however the donut and Cream Puffs were top of the priority list. The Cream Puffs are currently .40 cents a piece for a 2 bite, maybe 3 bite serving. They were on the chilled side of the glass, but the crust was nice and soft, not chewy as they may sometimes turn when chilled... The cream/custard inside was delicious, not too sweet or heavy and I highly recommend getting at minimum 6 pack per person (fat kid talking)... The Chapsol doughnuts were 2 for $1.10, a great value, served hot! They remind me of the Chinese sesame doughnuts you get at dim sum, however without the sesame. Manmi is the only place I'd actually buy cream puffs. This is my go to place to pick up something to take to an event. I always bring it to work parties and my staff love them - they're the first to go! I actually have to sneak some before even bringing them in because once I set them down, I won't even get to grab a piece. My family also enjoys them and sometimes we just get them to eat after dinner. I looove the cream puffs here. 40 cents for one and its worth every penny. These cream puffs aren't dry and flakey. I've had some where it gets so gross because the dough is dry and the ratio of dough to custard is off. Manmi's puffs have the perfect dough and the perfect amount of custard inside. The custard isn't too sweet and you don't feel horrible eating more than one. Quick and friendly service. read more

I can't say anything else about them that hasn't already been said, but I'm blown away by the prices here. I came near closing, and there was no wait at all, but the later you come, the less of a selection there will be. Also, got the gom bo bread which I thought was just alright, considering that it didn't taste all that special to me, but my boyfriend liked it. Picked up some almonds cookies for my mom, I tried a piece and I think she'll like it. The cookies were crispy and the flavors were all balanced, nothing too sugary. I would give this place a solid 4.5 stars based purely just on the cream puffs, went in today and bought 30 cream puffs at $0.40 a piece and they were truly the best.
