I called and set up an appointment. I was told my insurance was accepted, drove 40 minutes, and received a call saying they did not accept my insurance. One hour twenty minutes and fuel wasted. Very unprofessional. I used the elder Dr. Mann for surgery back in the 90s. You can tell he has retired. The company and services are not what they used to be. read more

It was time for our family to have our annual eye appointments. Can't let those high insurance premiums go to waste!! We decided to try some place new for the kids and brought them here. From the time we called to make the appointments, to the time we checked out after the appointments, we received stellar service. It was a first appointment for my daughter. She was a little nervous, but that went away quickly after dealing with the friendly staff. Dr. Taylor was really thorough and explained everything that was going on. I have been here twice so far. My first time was a regular eye visit for wellness and refraction for a new pair of glasses. My appointment went very smoothly and I didn't spend that much time waiting to be seen. The technicians were all very friendly and Dr. Taylor had a great demeanor as well. My glasses prescription was also correct, which may seem like a given but my last optometrist got my prescription wrong, so I really value accuracy. My second visit was for some special testing required for a residency application. After I made the call, I was seen the very next morning and did not have to wait at all for the special testing to be done. Overall I think Mann Eye 2 is a great place for a general eye checkup, especially if you value fast service and friendly staff like I do! read more

I had laser cataract surgery in August of 2015 at the main campus of Mann Eye Clinic. After several surgery follow up visits, they put a schedule of yearly exams. At each yearly exam, they performed multiple tests and my pupils were dilated allowing the optometrist to truly examine my eyes. Except for one of the tests, it was billed as a yearly exam fully covered by insurance. After having missed a couple of years due to Covid, I decided I needed to get a yearly routine exam. Instead of driving to the downtown location, I chose the Pearland location which I will never do again. Rather than perform multiple tests like the main branch, they performed one. My pupils were not dilated and the exam was about as routine as one could be. However, rather than bill it as the fully covered routine yearly eye exam that it was, they billed it as diagnostic and treatment and charged me over $200. I have disputed the claim with my insurance as I believe this was erroneous. They did half as much as I receive at the main branch and charged way more for it. My visit included about as routine of an eye exam as one could get and should have been covered as a normal yearly eye exam. While the doctor was pleasant, the billing was inaccurate. read more

I always receive great service when I go in for an eye check up. Dr Taylor is thorough, patient and kind. She answers all of your questions without hurrying you along and she is great with kids! Front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Dr. Riojas was amazing and very patient answered all my questions about lasik and I can see without glasses or contacts now! Awesome staff. Great service. My co-worker referred me to this location. My son needed new glasses because he lost his last pair which means a new pair will not be covered under insurance. The prices are reasonable and the quality of products are great. Dr. Taylor was quick yet efficient. She was patient with my shy 11 year old son and ensured that he had the correct prescription for his astigmatism. Dr. Taylor was also very informative and explained the importance to my son of wearing his glasses daily. I am very impressed with the service and will be switching my family to be clients of Dr. Taylor as well. read more

Terrible service. I concern for patients. I needed eye exam and glaucoma test and they never gave me glaucoma test then they try "refer" me to an expensive clinic. When I called to find out why and what had happened they were completely rude and just wanted money for services not provided. read more

My daughter had been complaining about blurry vision so I decided to take her in to see Dr. Taylor. Kendall is 10 years old and shy. The experience could not have been any better! Gilma, the tech greeted us and was warm and sweet. She was awesome. She walked us through the process and what to expect. Dr. Taylor was patient, funny, fun and engaging. She didn't talk down to Kendall and made sure to take her time explaining things. She was warm, professional and caring. I can't say enough great things about this experience. BE CAREFUL DOING BUSINESS HERE! I bought some glasses in June 22nd. When I arrived home I noticed the frame was warped and the glass case was oversized and the glasses were swooshing in the case. The case didn't even match the frame. When I took the glasses back, the manager (Wendy), pulled the display frame, popped out the lenses, transferred my lenses into the display frame. I also noticed my lenses weren't even glass; I was having double vision that was taking 24 hours to correct. It was SCARY. I left a message for the Director, David Brown, and he never called me. I contacted the president of the company and I got no response. In September I get a call back from David Brown because I said I was going to escalate this legally. David Brown agreed to refund me 100%. October, I called the insurance company and the refund still had not occurred. The insurance calls the manager Wendy and the refund is processed, however, Wendy refuses to refund the eye exam. In order for me to purchase glasses from Mann Eye, I had to have an eye exam. They refused to refund me 100%. Mann Eye sold me used glasses with cheaper lenses and an oversized case that didn't even match. Is it that profit is more important? BE CAREFUL IN DOING BUSINESS HERE! read more

Not too happy that no one bothered to tell me that contact lens fittings were only good for 45 days. For me to try different lenses in order to decide which type to go with, I'm being charged another fitting fee. Ridiculous!! Guess need to find someone/someplace new. read more

The staff was very polite and helpful in explaining things - eg insurance. I have VSP (they accept VSP) and they were able to detail what I could get.
