The bakery makes great sourdough bread but the sandwiches they sell in their restaurant are terrible.

First time here. Definitely won't be the last. Super food albeit limited menu choices. But I'm telling you- amazing food. I had the ham and cheese panini. AMAZING, My mom had the chicken salad sandwich. We absolutely loved our choices! The desert choices were so beautiful we couldn't say no! No disappointment with that decision! Yum yum!! May I suggest a handicap or two parking spaces, maybe a handicap drop off. I had to double park to let my 86 year old mom with a walker out and then park a block away. Everything I've tried here has been absolutely fantastic. My husband loves their kolaches - said they're the best he's ever had. I love the cream cheese pastry. Their pastry is so well made and baked perfectly. The cream cheese was not overly sweet which was perfect. I haven't had their keto and gluten free options but they have a lot of them! read more

We loved everything about our visit today. The panini's were delicious, as was every pastry we couldn't help but grab because we couldn't agree on just one. First of all, when you enter, you are surrounded by tropical plants and people seated on couches, chairs, and at small tables, and you just feel like stopping to breathe it all in. Feels like you stepped into another time and place. People drive from quite a ways to get here. Lady behind me in line drove at least 30 min. Someone behind her had driven even further. Coffee, cappuccino, sandwiches and stuffed french toast are really good. Only reason for one less star is that they were running out of things the day I was there and not doing a great job at informing those that were taking orders. I guess you have to get there early for the quiche. Hoping to taste that next time. Running out isn't the problem. This place does not take the Pandemic seriously at all. I was in the other day and over half of the people working there were not wearing masks, even while handling food. When asked why, the poor guy at the counter wearing a mask apologized but couldn't give a reason at all. Just said he would pass on my concern and kept apologizing. My husband and I had our wedding reception here in August and we couldn't have asked for a better location! The bakery is so beautiful and was absolutely perfect. From the live plants, decor, music, toys for kids, and even an outside seating area. Christin and all of her staff were amazing and so helpful with everything. From decorating, multiple different food options, dish settings, time/flexibility with our wedding day schedule, to going above and beyond to make our day so special! I would highly recommend Manna to anyone looking for a venue for a special occasion. There was even a stage with a microphone as well as a private room option for more privacy. I received so many complements on how delicious the food was. The blueberry scones are my personal favorite. I hate reviews based on bad service, but public health has to be the primary focus right now. I stopped by for my third visit to this lovely bakery yesterday to find that is not always the case at Manna. Not only were the two men behind the counter without masks, the manager told me I didn't need to wear mine. Food-wise, this shop is a bit hit or miss. If you catch something coming out of the oven, it is always delicious. Cinnamon rolls are either fantastic or very dry, likely depending on when they were baked. The jalapeño cheese loaf was good, but the pull apart bread was very over-baked. On prior visits, a female baker was masked. She was also very kind and knowledgeable. So my husband and I came here on a Saturday afternoon well knowing that the risk of cinnamon rolls would not be there. I kept telling my husband we should call first but he insisted on going anyways to check it out and I'm so glad we did!! There wasn't any cinnamon rolls left but all the other stuff we got was soo soo sooo sooo good! They did tell us the rolls would be ready in an hour but we had to go to HEB and run other errands. I know next time I'll go first thing in the morning and not wait around till afternoon ha! Some delish things we got were: Lemon cookies --- soooooo good! Probably the best thing we had! Almond bear claw - super fresh and perfect for breakfast or a snack! Pumpkin chocolate chip cookie-- my second favorite cookie!! Chocolate brownie and double chocolate cookie were also really delicious but the others were my top favorites!! I can't wait to go back! This is a cute little spot! We had kolaches and they were really good! The staff was super friendly and helpful! They have lots of options to choose from for all kinds of diets. My only complaint is it's a little on the pricey side for a kolache. Overall it was good and would recommend! read more

I know we're in a pandemic right now, and before someone says anything. I want it to be known this isn't the first time I've had dry cinnamon rolls from here. I was actually given these as a gift this time, and it was so thoughtful, and appreciated. I was ecstatic as previously I've had there cinnamon rolls, and those were dry as well. Unfortunately, this time was the same outcome. As soon as I put my fork into it the rolls they began to crumble. It just started to fall apart before I even began eating it. Which I can only assume as an occasional home baker. That they either added too much flour, or they're old, and being placed out again from the previous day. I'm sure they're trying their best during these times, but just next time please for the love of all that is bread, don't let them be this dry again. I not only rate on quality but also on how an owner handles a hiccup in service. I live in the Tulsa area but got married recently in Spring and after much online research chose Manna for the bread at my wedding. The wedding was perfect but my bread was not. When I complained the owner texted with me personally to make it right and then followed up afterwards to make sure it was taken care of. Because of her willingness to accept responsibility and correct the mistake as best as she could, I rate Manna 5 stars and will definitively be back! read more

Went to Manna today for the first time and had a great experience! The aroma of the breads hits you right upon opening the door. I was welcomed right away and she explained there were samples I could try of just about everything. I sampled several breads, my favorite was the jalapeño bread but they were all delicious! Then we went over to check out the pastries and sampled. The scones were a good size and looked amazing. We purchased a cinnamon roll and scone on this trip but we will certainly be back. Literally the best focaccia bread I've ever had (pictured) and we ate the cinnamon roll before we even got a picture! So yummy!! Everything is fresh and flavorful! It was our first time there and we did stumble through figuring out what we picked and put in bags/boxes (typically the stuff in the glass cases: cookies, scones, etc) and what they got for us (the breads, and cinnamons rolls). I was very excited to visit Tomballs newest bakery/coffee shop and had high expectations, on todays visit , it fell short. the flow or ordering was very confusing, to begin with. I had to ask the person behind an unmarked reception type area, if that is where I would order drinks, she eventually answered, but was roaming all over the place. I eventually ordered a blue tea, she yells to the back, asking if they even had that tea. Next to move over to the uncovered, and unlabeled pastry area. we had to ask what. any products were and there was no prices posted. we the. go the area that you"pay" apparently, you have to state your items all over again to the person collecting payment, they don't take cash and we're not even offering receipts. 1. Never received the blue tea 2. Blueberry scone was dry and tasteless,blueberries were frozen berries. 3. Almond bear claw, dry and stale with only a few croissant layers 4. The chocolate muffin was quite enjoyable. 5. Tiramisu was watery, and soggy, did not taste like coffee at all and had some type of "cookie" that was grainy. Sat on tthe patio, looks like a dump of random chairs and couches, most with prices tags still hanging on them. The cinnamon rolls are beyond amazing too and were quickly inhaled by my family. Previously my favorites are the rosemary bread, and the CREAM PUFFS! I don't really even like cream puffs, but Manna's are seriously my favorite dessert ever! Super cute local owner was working with two of her sons today. I have a feeling this place is only open because of the ambiance. I ordered the turkey handwhich with a Cesar salad as my side and water...the meal took 25 minutes to come out which at first I thought nothing of but was a bit in a rush so was getting a little agitated. I heard the bell rung by kitchen staff so assumed the food was mine but instead saw 2 girls having a conversation and eating their lunch behind the counter which seemed unprofessional and neither of them jumped up to grab the ready food to serve. Finally got my food and the sandwich was so underwhelming....like 3 slices of thin turkey with melted provolone and wilted lettuce with 1 slice of tomato and 2 slices of red onion... dry and no flavor. I thought wow I could have made this ins 3 minutes at home and spent 1/4 of the money. So I thought maybe the Caesar salad would be good....wrong. No dressing??? Lettuce, croutons and parm cheese...I thought wow they took 25 minutes to make this meal? I was floored to be honest and the bread wasn't even that good! I had to then track down a lady to ask her for dressing. Train your staff to be more professional and figure out your kitchen and menu options. This restaurant has so much potential but currently is falling short. The pluses are 1) the decor and atmosphere are very nice 2) we enjoyed a sconce which was tasty and the other pastries looked well made. The negatives were 1) as you waited in line to order, they only had one menu available for customers to look at while you are waiting for your turn. There is no signage with the menu, so this of course made ordering go slowly. 2) When we got to the register and reviewed our order, two additional sandwiches had added so that needed to be corrected. 3) I only received my drink after asking for it twice and it arrived at the end of my meal. 4) Tables were left uncleared. Servers would walk past dirty tables repeatedly without ever clearing away dishes or trash. 5) Finally our food was nothing special. We order two breakfast sandwiches, the ham and the sausage. They were edible but with very little favor. The cheese was very sparse and the bread was barely toasted. The sausage was just a microwaved patty. Sadly our overall experience was very disappointing. Hello, this is my 2nd time visiting the bakery. The 1st time I went I got several items and they were a bit dry and hard. So I finally went today, to give it a 2nd chance. I took my Grandson to get a cinnamon roll. He is 9 yrs old and he loves cinnamon rolls. I had a cream puff. It was a bit disappointing. Once again, dry and hard. I would think if you bake items fresh in the morning they should still be nice and soft at 4 something. If were going to spend $8.25...for 2 items.
