One word... AMAZING! Best crab Benedict I've ever had. Benedicts are hit and miss bc sometimes the muffin is too hard, or the sauce is too much and too overbearing. The ratios and textures were all spot on. The steak and eggs were great, although on the more done side when I asked for medium well. Three ceaser dressing was probably the worst I've ever had, then I ordered a baked potato specifically said with only sour cream and butter, I got rice , my boyfriend ordered rice and got a baked potato, then she brought my potato fully loaded, my boyfriends rib eye, had more fat then meat And no flavor at all, and vmy sister inlaw almost broke her tooth on a piece of plastic in her ravioli. We go there a few times a month and the food and the service is usually pretty good but yesterday morning was the first time we went there for breakfast. I ordered a burrito. I asked if I could have bacon and sausage and they said yes but I did not get it. I only got bacon. If I had a choice I would have preferred sausage only and it didn't have a good flavor to it. It almost tasted like something was burnt in there but it didn't appear to be burned. Also the fruit that they served most of it was cut and it's fresh except for the watermelon thrown in. It looked like maybe it was cut on a Monday and this was Friday and it's a real turn off for me. The service there's usually really good but yesterday there was also a table of gentlemen and it seemed like they catered to that table mainly. So I did not get a chance to complain about the food because they didn't come over. They kept going only to that table and when it was time for us to leave we waited for 10 minutes and we had to go search for the person so we can pay, we had to ask the guy at the door to get someone so we could pay and leave and he went looking a few places for her. He did get her. She wasn't too much in a hurry. She was kind of like dragging her feet and communicating with him and then finally wandered over to get our bill. We've only been here once. It was Mother's Day, so the place was quite busy. For some reason they elected to close early, and we had to come for dinner around 3pm. By far the best served steak in Vallejo! The prices are very decent compared to other steakhouses. I usually get the medium rare rib eye with mashed potatoes and the herb butter sauce is delicious and pair it with the Cabernet. The clam chowder is my favorite here! One of the best deals on a steak dinner I've had. Steaks come with a nice selection of butters, and big side of veggies along with your choice of 2 sides. Their outdoor dining area during covid was comfortable and clean. Had take out a couple times as well and their steak sandwich had a huge piece of meat on it. They are still doing outdoor seating due to Covid but the food was delicious. I had the surf and turf. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The lobster was sweet and tender. The herb and garlic butter was yummy! They didn't have anymore baked potatoes so I got the rice pilaf which was really good. The vegetable medley was great. First time trying this place even though we passed this restaurant often and Jason kept on mentioning on trying this place . So here we are , service wise its good , some hit and miss though like Jason was eating his steak with salad fork . It was a highlight for me it sure was funny . In terms of food portion it's adequate. It felt kind of rushed when they remove the plates of food and not giving enough time before the diners had finished eating . I understand the tables needed to be turned over for the next set of customers . Wow! It was a pleasant surprise for local dining. Nothing fancy here good for casual dining, nice clean restaurant. We ordered the crispy calamari, it was lightly battered and fried just right with just the right amount of crispiness, very good. We also had the ribeye & sea bass and both were grilled just right. Today I experienced the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE from the Owners wife Mora Rodriguez/Martin (yes she gave me two last names, and stated she didn't care if I gave her a bad review on YELP). I called and placed a togo order (steak,veggies, fully loaded baked potato) when I arrived to pick up my food as I was walking out after paying I was informed by the host (A Very polite gentlemen) that they were out of baked potato's so they gave me mashed potatoes instead. I walked to my car, and thought to myself it would have be nice to have been able to select a different side order since they were out of baked potato's instead of someone else choosing for me. - [ ] I put my food in the car and went back into the restaurant and politely told the host that I was satisfied with my order, however next time can I be given the opportunity to pick a different side dish of my liking he apologized and that was the end of it so I thought. This is where things went LEFT, Mora the owners wife marched over and asked me what was the problem?, I simply replied nothing really and went on to tell her what happened. She then got the worst attitude while giving me different side options that I could have chose from had I been given the opportunity to do so. At this point I said, I'll take some veggies or macaroni. This lady insisted that I go back to my car and get my food so she can thrown away the mash potatoes to give me veggies. The right thing to do since they messed up my order by choosing a side for me would have to been to just give me a side of veggies or macaroni due to the inconvenience they caused me, well that was not the case. I went to my car brought my food back in and watched her tell the chefs to throw out the mash potatoes. I then asked her name, she gave me her name and stated " I don't care about your YELP review". I couldn't believe I was experiencing this kind of treatment, I've been coming here for awhile and the food is really good but she was horrible. To be honest I have never seen her before. Thank God the real owner was there her husband I'm not sure if his name is Manny or not but I can say he made everything RIGHT. He was polite and kind, though when he asked me what happened his wife kept on butting in cutting me off (rude, and unprofessional). So glad he was present, He said I was right and that what I experienced should have never happened. PLUS: He had on a Warriors T-Shirt "Go Warriors". We've been going to their original location off Springs and have always been impressed. Their steak, seafood, and desserts have always been delicious. Meat cooked at the temperature you wanted (medium rare is best!). Service is always great. I was hoping they'd remodel their new location. The choices of sauce for the protein is awesome! So many options! The side dishes were all delicious as well!! I have lived in Vallejo a few years and struggled to find a go to for some decent food, I am originally from Oakland where everything is at your fingertips. With that being said, This "steakhouse" has a loooonnngg way to go. We arrived at the steakhouse for an outdoor dining experience. We checked in and wrote our names on a yellow pad. Because they had no waiter station outside we had to wait near the entrance, Additionally since they had no clear system. People were seated before us even though we arrived first. We waited 20 minutes to get seating. Once seated we were given a food menu but not a drink menu which I had to ask for. I ordered the steak sandwich and was okay, I've definitely had better. It had some flavor but not what I was expecting for the price. The had appx 10 tables and a waiting/ host staff of 4 and they were very non-attentive. We had to ask for water refills even though we placed glasses at the edge of the table. They would benefit from a strong restaurant manager that can develop the staff in the art of working at a restaurant as well as norming on a system of check in as well as identify the areas of increased improvement. Covid-19 is here and they will need to evolve to stay open or they will join the ranks of other restaurants in the area and nationally. read more
