Exciting to have this business come to Campbell - it's exactly the type of high-quality business we need downtown. Delicious bread, amazing baked goods, and small bites for lunch or a light dinner. We tried the breakfast sandwich and biscuit sandwich, as well as kouign amann and coffee. All were good but I think service is still figuring out how to operate efficiently. Our hot food came before our coffee and we eventually had to ask for our baked goods from the case that hadn't shown up. Everyone was super nice though so I think it's just a matter of working out the kinks. Brunch menu not up and running yet but was told this will probably arrive in January. read more

Not going with the chorus of raves on this one, I stopped by recently for some Monkey Bread and Ice Tea. OK, not the most usual combination. It was nine bucks for that, and it took nearly 10 minutes to get the iced tea. The Monkey Bread was flakey and sticky, it was good but certainly not stellar. The iced tea had excessive tannins and just wasn't tasty or refreshing. Some places are pricey and have long wait times, but it's worth it. This place seems just pricey with a long wait that isn't worth it. I'll give this place another try or two, but my first impressions were not the greatest. read more

Newly opened cafe that sadly feel short on my expectations. I've heard great things about Manresa Bread and while their bread is good, the toast I ordered was gross. I chose the ricotta honey and nduja and I implore people to never order this dish. The nduja and ricotta was not a good combination whatsoever. What made me more sad was the fact the portions of the toast was so small...For $12, I'd expect bigger portions, like this place isn't even in San Francisco and yet they think they are? TL;DR Manresa Bread has excellent macarons! Highly recommend! This review is for the Mother's Day macarons. My pre-order consisted of a box of six macarons with two vanilla, two strawberry, and two passion fruit. I paid online then went to pick them up yesterday. Customer Service: 5/5 I was helped by a young gentleman and lady, both of whom were really nice. Macarons: 4.75/5 The first macaron I tried was the vanilla. I took my first bite and WOW. It was SO GOOD. The strawberry was just as amazing. The passion fruit had a slightly subtle flavor but I also liked it. All three tasted fresh and were full of flavor. I want to contrast these with other macarons available, for example the ones at Costco. Don't get me wrong, the ones at Costco are also good (more like ok) but nothing compares to the fresh ones sold by Manresa Bread! I'm so glad I got to try these! The only tiny criticism I have is that the macarons were artificially colored (the strawberry macaron was this beautiful hot pink which I'm not sure is possible naturally), so I deducted 0.25 points but overall these were outstanding macarons. Parking: Luckily I was able to find a parking spot right away at a lot on S 1st St. It's about a block from Manresa Bread and just a short walk away. Parking is free and is limited to two hours. If you love "pain au chocolate" aka a chocolate croissant, and have only had it at a chain coffee shop, you owe it to yourself to try the one from Manresa. So much flakey goodness that can only be attained with butter. Lots and lots of butter. Ask them to warm it and you will realize the thing masquerading as this pastry at the other place is just bread. Anyway, there are lots a delicious goodies here, but for the more sophisticated palette. It's not over the top sweet, but always fresh, bread heavy goodness. The Kouign Amann is a perfect example. The butter and sugar form a delicious crust on the bottom that give it just the right balance of bread to sweet ratio. It sneaks up on you. I haven't been here for other meals, but based on the care put into the pastries, I'll go out on a limb and say it's all great. read more

My coconut pearls bowl was, AMAZING. Full of flavor, fresh summer fruit, delicious and vegan. Wine and champagne pricey but yummy. Chill music, full but we found seats at 1pm after Farmers Market. I really look forward to coming back here when they are not out of everything; understandably so- this was a Sunday following the weekly farmer's market, when Campbell Ave. is packed. Post-yoga trapeze session, our group decided on Manresa as I was in the mood for coffee and brekkie, and my friends wanted libations. Fortunately, this place has both. I was a little disappointed that one of the selling points for me was the oat milk, which they had "just ran out of", then the burrata toast, which they had "just ran out of", and even the brown Sugar in the Raw packets, which they had "just run out of." I chose an almond milk latte and avocado toast. I was surprised by everything on the avocado toast- many of the ingredients that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I liked the herb, I liked the pomegranate, I liked the dried fruit- just maybe not all together. I had this fear that if I got all of the things in one bite, the taste would be less distinct and more like the way things taste after my stomach mixes them all together. But in individual bites, very good. Traditionally, I like an avocado toast with salt and maybe a squirt of lemon juice, so this was definitely a surprise to my taste buds. The latte art was lovely, and I like the way the coffee was prepared. All in all, I look forward to coming back and giving a 5-star review when my order reflects the first choice items I would have selected had they been in stock. read more

Came here on the weekend for a sandwich. Food was just okay. Salad was extremely spicy, which isn't what you want in a salad. It would be wonderful if you could just get a turkey sandwich, but it wasn't an option. Ice tea and the waters they once has are also not an option. They can make you an ice tea from brewed tea, but it's strong. One thing we noticed right away was the place needed a deep cleaning. The floor was filled with a lot of food and crumbs, not just under tables. The boards need a good polish and the tile under the coffee bar looks moldy at the bottom. The windows too. This place was so clean and fresh when it opened, but is in need of a deep clean now. I'd love to see it spruced up, and have some realistic lunch options like a sandwich and ice tea! read more

I couldn't finish it and I asked if they can reheated .. they said no but they give me a new one which was nice of them but still not hot enough for me as I like my hot beverages to be HOT! Also the prices were a little bit on the expensive side .. I love the bread here! Manresa has a chill vibe and high quality food. I have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. The cons are that it can be crowded on the weekends and it's pretty pricey. I went here recently for a Saturday brunch with my boy friend. We shared an almond croissant and shakshuka. The croissant was buttery and crispy with lots of yummy filling. The shakshuka came with toasted sourdough and the egg was cooked perfectly. It was crowded but we were able to get a table. I am a fan of the bread that Manresa makes (dense and springy on the inside with a crunchy hard exterior) and this location stays consistent with the quality. The cafe is much bigger than the shop in Los Gatos so it's easier to find seats and enjoy some coffee with a baked good too. I didn't try any of their sweets this time around but they all looked delicious. I heard that Manresa Bread has some amazing pastries, especially the kouign amann! I wasn't entirely sure if this location and the Los Gatos location were the same in concept, but I went to this one since it's closer to me. Since I went in the afternoon, most of their breads were already gone...that's disappointing but totally my fault since I came very late! This café was very spacious, lots of tables and seating, this place is very nice to study or relax and have a small lunch. I wound up getting their matcha latte (hot) along with their salmon avo toast. My friend got their (hot) cappuccino and a chocolate mousse. You honestly can't go wrong with such basic drinks, so I enjoyed them to the fullest. My toast was topped a lot with a salad of some sorts? So it was difficult eating, until I noticed they provided the table with a cup of utensils so I was able to eat my toast haha! The avo was super creamy and parred well with the salmon and salad. My friend suggested going here around brunch time. I ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious and filling. The iced green tea was also very good but not very big and no refills. Went to the Campbell farmers market one Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to see that Manresa bread opened here in Campbell. I love their kouign amann. It's a perfect pastry to go along with any coffee or tea! The place that used to be here before was called Panotiq , so if you have been there, its the same layout inside. Staff at Manresa is friendly and happy and always willing to help you out with your order. I just got a cafe latte and the pastry. Next time i want to try the bread! Tasteless, overpriced, inefficient, disorganised chaos. These are the words I would use to describe Manresa bread. Why is this place so popular? From the moment you walk in the door you are stuck in a line in front of the busy entrance with people going in and out because of the poor planning and layout of this establishment. It's uncomfortable, awkward, and inefficient waiting in line at this place, and there is ALWAYS a line. They have the ordering desk stationed at the front of the far right side of the store. Instead it would have been better if they had put it back further into the store to anticipate where a line would go. Okay enough about that. The coffee was good, I ordered the monkey bread latte. It was tasty, but that's no surprise as they use Verve espresso. Although, their cups are MUCH smaller and MUCH more expensive than what you get if you just go to Verve in the first place. The biggest mark I have against this place though is their croissants. They appear to have missed a crucial step in the process of making their croissants. Croissants are supposed to be soft, buttery, flaky, and have a symphony of flavour. We ordered a ham & cheese croissant, pain au chocolat, and matcha croissant. The actual croissant part of all three was soft, but it wasn't flaky, or flavourful at all. These croissants are bad. It appears they missed a crucial step on the dough lamination process. These did NOT have the typical croissant flakiness, consistency, or any flavour at all whatsoever. Costco makes better croissants, and for MUCH cheaper than this place. Oh, also they don't readily have napkins available, even if you take your order to go. You have to ask them for them, to which they seem to give you attitude for. Bottom line If I could give a zero I would. I will NEVER go back to Manresa bread because the ambiance is bad, they're over priced, their croissants are terrible, and they have a pretentious stuck up attitude. read more

Can I give 10 stars? We stopped in one Saturday early morning and lucked out since there wasn't a line. We ordered one bacon breakfast sandwich and one sausage breakfast sandwich. The portions were huge as each came with a side of potatoes (and a delicious aioli). Each sandwich came with a freshly baked bun (bacon sandwich) and biscuit (sausage sandwich). I know some people complained about the higher prices and they should probably just go eat at McDonalds (no judgement), but if you want an absolute treat that will also fill you up, then do yourself a favor and order the breakfast sandwiches...they are divine and so worth the $$ (and calories)! read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in the Bay Area. I have liked everything I have ordered here from food to coffee. I went in a couple weeks ago and the espresso machine was down at the moment I was ordering. So I asked them to surprise me with a coffee similar to my normal order, that they enjoyed. This holiday review is for their panettone only! Having tried From Roy's panettone last year, I wanted to try something new this year, and Manresa did not disappoint! I placed a pre-order online for pick up before Christmas, picked it up with my order number and was on my way with the bread in hand. Everything was easy and organized, and the service was great! Panettone, regarded as the holy grail of baking by some, is not an easy bread to conquer. I was curious to see how it would compare to Roy's, and I gotta say, I liked Manresa's panettone better! It's a triple chocolate orange panettone, and though it sounds like it'd be quite sweet, it had the perfect amount of sweetness. Not only that, but it was suuuuper light and airy - the crumb had huge air pockets and was quite impressive. Can't wait to be back to order more baked goods that exceed my expectations! read more
