Sushi here is terrific! Ordered the Mansun boat and it comes with varieties of sashimi, sushi and nigiri. Everything tasted fresh. I shared this with my wife and we devoured it. The place for the board is $109 but it is worth the price in my opinion. Compare to other suing places that offer sushi boats, this place by far the best. Also not shown in the picture, this comes with miso soup, some small sides, and teriyaki chicken. These I ate the next day since after finish the whole platter of sushi I was too full! read more

Where do I begin ! our first time here and we were greeted by the sweetest hostess we were attended to right away. We ordered a chicken bento box along with a crunchy shrimp roll. Wait time was not very long . We waited a few minutes . Let me tell you , the abundance of sides provided with the bento box is unbelievable . the food is delicious and the attentiveness from the hostess is far beyond appreciated. This is truly a hidden gem. We will definitely be coming back. to the sweet hostess. Happy Mother's Day to you as well. read more

This is a Japanese restaurant run by the sweetest lady. You'll definitely leave here with your hearts warm with such sweet service from her. Since it is Korean-owned, you will get korean side dishes with your order and sometimes the Japanese dishes have a hint of korean flavors. Their teriyaki beef tasted like bulgogi LOL. I ordered their 3 amigos roll and I loved the big pieces of salmon in the middle, but I just didn't like that the roll was drowned in sesame oil so that's sorta all you taste. To start off the staff are very friendly and make sure you're enjoying your meal. Honestly though they really don't need to because the food is amazing. The prices are very great for what they offer. The atmosphere is amazing, they play great music to make you feel happy. The design of the restaurant is very comfortable. The private rooms for parties are amazing and will not disappoint. If you want great food and the best service for a great price this is the place to go. Don't let the size fool you. read more

This restaurant was by far the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. The place was extremely dirty tables had food stains and the chairs were sticky and filthy. After eating there, I had stomach pain. I even saw the sushi chef picking his nose ...disgusting! On top of that, there were a lot of flies buzzing around. Absolutely unacceptable hygiene and service. I strongly advise against eating here!!! read more

Customer service: 5/5 stars Food quality: 2/5 I really want to give this place more stars but the food isn't great. This is my third time here and each time the quality of the fish has gotten worse. The first time I ordered uni bowl and it was delicious and picture worthy. The second time, I got the dinner special and it was okay. The sashimi platter was fatty so it took forever to chew. At the end, I just got tired and ate banchan (side dishes) instead --amazing by the way. It's also unlimited if dined in. After the meal, they serve ice cream. The third time, I ordered raw fish bowl to go. I loved that they packed everything so well. However, the large salad + rice bowl had only 6 tiny pieces of cubed fish. I was fine with it until I took a bite of the fish. The fattiness made me lose my appetite. So I ended up eating the salad and side dishes again. I really want to be a regular here but I don't think I would come back for Japanese food unless it's for the uni bowl. They haven't been receiving shipments from the dock so they're not selling that anymore. The pandemic has slowed things down but I hope things go well with them again. read more

Don't come here for Japanese food. Come if you're craving Korean food with a side of sushi. Even then their sushi is a joke. I ordered a salmon skin roll and it was 5 pieces even though the menu said 8 and there was literally nothing but rice and lettuce. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and they gave a California roll instead. The sushi "chefs" should be retrained. The only star this place deserves is for the waitress who works there, she's at least super nice. Other than that I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews. You can get higher quality sushi about 2 miles at Ninja Sushi in Walnut or Makomae in Diamond Bar. read more

Oh wow, this restaurant has gone downhill a lot. It's no longer own by the Japanese owner. The food quality is probably the worst I've seen in years. The sashimi taste fishy and for $34. You get very very thin slice of fish. Definitely will not go back again. Around dinner time there's only 34 tables that tells you how good their food is. read more

We stopped by thinking it was going to be a hole in the wall. But it was a huge disappointment.For dinner we ordered a small sashimi plate, bento box, udon, rolls, and fried fish. Minus 2stars for the bad service and experience. We were seated on a long table for 8. The server lady left all the food on the edge of the table expecting us to pass down all food down the table including hot udon noodle bowls. We also ordered a Mansun roll. However, they brought a mansun plate. We told the server lady that we ordered a mansun roll. The lady argued and stated "no you didn't." Ummm what? Yes we did. The food was not good. Udon was too salty. The fish was mid. Nothing special of this place. After spending $200. It was a huge let down. Minus two stars for the quality of food for the price. I tried to try out new places and support our local restaurants and it was a huge let down. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Beautiful presentation of the food but not the most beautiful cuts of fish. I ordered the sashimi salad which had a refreshing Japanese wafu dressing but the sashimi slices were quite smaller than what I had expected. Similarly, the slices on the nigiri for the Man Sun Special were quite thin and some of them were even cut like a rectangle. I'm not a sushi chef but I don't think that's how it's supposed to look. The quality of the fish was good but the cuts of the fish could definitely be better. However, I did like that it came with banchan since it is a Korean-owned Japanese restaurant. I love surprises like this because there's extra sides to sample while you're waiting on the entree. P.S.You get a free appetizer of edamame when checking in through Yelp! read more

Cozy family friendly restaurant. They are located on a busy street so you can kind of miss them if you are driving fast. You can either street park or put it in a tiny lot shared with another business. Small restaurant with some private rooms to the side. Right away they offered water and hot tea. I was like what's that stuff floating around in the tea and tried to avoid the tea particles at first but realized they are brown rice and taste deliiiiicious. I uploaded a photo but I think there must be a better more appetizing looking one by another fellow yelper. Lol. I let it cool down and drank mine like a shot. Server said she couldn't help but notice me finish and would i like more. I was like hells yeah. I am so busy once the food comes out I forget to take pics. They start off by bringing a small salad to share. I loved the dressing. I'm not a huge salad person and I'm picky about the dressing but theirs was good. They also gave miso soup and about sixish side dishes or banchan which is the Korean culture. The side dishes were all very fresh and seasoned well. I ordered the soft shell crab. It was good but I would have preferred to have the sauce on the side and it be crunchier. Thats just me. I don't like my fried food to have any sauce on it cuz I'm like the crunchy police. Man Sun lunch special included sashimi, sushi, tempura and a super spicy tuna roll (or you can choose cali roll). I thought pricing was good. Next to us they ordered the uni bowl which looks super fancy like it's out of those food competition tv shows. I actually think I saw someone do that on an episode of Chopped. I also got the roasted Mackerel. Warning you it took a while. Literally came after we were done with everything else. But it's a healthy fatty fish and tastes yummy. Remembered to take a photo since it was right at the end. They were very friendly and gave my son a cool toy at the end. Not to mention complimentary ice cream. We have been ordering from man sun for many years or dine in. But their portion has decreased dramatically. Take the yellowtail collar for example, they charge $28 for 2 pieces normally which is fair. But as you can see from my order today, it was just one small collar, no way any restaurant would charge $28 for this. I called and was told this is a big piece... we just won't be ordering the collar anymore, not at this ridiculous price and small portion. We had a very bad experience with this stupid, rude, and without manner Sushi Restaurant. We would like to share our bad experience with everyone. First of all, on the menu, it doesn't indicate how many pieces what are you going pay for Small Size, Medium Size, Large Size, or Extra Size on Sashimi, Sushi Boat, and Sushi Plate. Second, the restaurant won't provide a correct number of pieces to you on what you ordered. Different waiters tell you different pieces. They are not really honest. Also, their side orders and main entrees are definitely not fresh. Terrible food...awful Service, it is extremely bad and rude. We received a sentence from owner's son (he is a waiter) that" WE DON'T NEED YOUR BUSINESS AND YOU DON'T NEED TO COME BACK". Plus, the Owner is a chef and tries to cheating on the food with short count of pieces more than 4 pieces on your orders. Restaurant environment, it is super dirty and the floor is filled with trash. Final result, we left the place without eating and paying. We couldn't stay there more than a minute. We have a very bad experience with this terrible Sushi Restaurant. I discovered advertisements for the sea urchin with rice special on a social media platform and felt compelled to try it. While there, I also opted for the lunch special. Both dishes exceeded expectations in terms of quality and flavor. Upon arrival, the owner greeted us warmly and was exceptionally hospitable. I've been coming to Mansun Sushi regularly, and it's always a great experience. Their hoe-deopbap is my go-to dish--always fresh and flavorful with generous portions and top-notch ingredients. I like this sea urchin rice very much. The sea urchin is fresh and has plenty of meals, but it is available daily in limited quantities. If you don't want to run for nothing, you can call them make sure if there is still. Authentic sushi flavors are worth trying. This is not cheap, but you will find something worth the price. Each dish was flavorful and you just couldn't get enough. The serving size is generous too. You really get your moneys worth here. The service here is excellent too. They only had one server here when we visited but she gave great service to everyone in the restaurant. She was attentive and very hospitable which made our experience even more pleasant. The place is fairly small and the overall aesthetics of the restaurant is fine. You're here for the food, not the ambiance. Skip those long lines and go here instead. Trust me, it's worth the visit.

A few of the XLB also stuck to the steam tray, so when lifting it, they tore from the bottom. Besides that, taste was spot on. The spicy wontons were also very good and a good portion size. Parking is very easy with plenty of spots in a large parking lot. Service was great as well. The restaurant is pretty small, but when we went, around 8:30pm on a Friday night, it wasn't very busy. Overall enjoyed this spot and will be back in the future.

It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The portion was generous with two large pork cutlets, cabbage salad, and a bowl of rice. However, the salad was simply shredded cabbage with a very basic dressing that didn't seem homemade or unique. I used to order their sweet and spicy fried chicken regularly, but the quality has gradually declined over the years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing enough that I don't plan to order it again. These days, I mainly stick to their noodle dishes and dumplings, which are still the items I enjoy the most.
