Maybe I have high expectations of malasadas due to being a Leonards customer for the last decade. These malasadas don't even come close to comparison. For a dozen Manuela Malasadas, it states $25. They also charge you $1.50 to $2 for every single filling so basically 12 filled malasadas is like $50. So not worth the price for some fried dough with watered down filling, that felt like you were eating a grease ball. Will not be coming back. Sorry. Just my honest opinion.

Hubby can't get enough of these when we are on the Big Island so he was giddy to find Manuela here in Maui. Same way in which you order and then wait as they are made fresh to order so be patient. The wait is worth it! Parking is tight at this location so you could park over at Costco and walk over easily. They have some covered tables which is really great as there was seating anywhere else in the lot

Located across from Costco. I wanted to post the menu. Please come and create your own adventure.

Kids were craving donuts second to last night in wailea. Tried 3 combo. Cinnamon no filling, Sugar Dubai chocolate, cinnamon banana cream. Made fresh to order. So good we came the next night as well. Will be back for sure next trip to Maui.

This spot had so many flavors it was hard to choose. We opted for a 12 count for 4 people. We ordered, ube 2x, mango, Ferrero Rocher 2x, banana cream, lilikoi cheesecake, guava, Bavarian cream, dubai chocolate, & PB&J. The lady who took our order was really nice and friendly! And the trailer was beautiful you cant miss it!

I like plain malasadas so I ordered powdered ones. Sorry to compare, but nothing like Leonard's. Only one was cooked well enough to eat because the other two were doughy/gummy. So much so that it tasted like flour and vinegar. Maybe the filled ones are better, but don't get the plain ones.

Cute food truck located across from Costco in Kahului. Service is good. You may have to wait a little. They make the malasadas hot and fresh! There are other dessert items on the menu to choose from as well. There are tables to sit and enjoy. Stop by and try!

We stumbled across this little malasada spot in the cutest food-truck area, and OMG... easily one of the best finds in Maui. It's super convenient too -- it's right next to the airport, so whether you just landed or you're heading out, you have to stop by. The service is quick, everything is made to order, and the malasadas come out super fresh, hot, and with the perfect texture. They have SO many flavors -- ube, coconut, pineapple, chocolate, anything you can think of -- and every single one is delicious. Plus, the owners are the sweetest people ever, which makes the whole experience even better. They're tucked a bit in the corner of the food-truck area, so don't miss them! I would literally come back to Maui just for these malasadas. Highly, highly recommend

Well... A raging rainstorm is apparently the best time to come get Malasadas here, as there was zero line and it only took seven minutes! And... they were stupid delicious. Exactly what I expect out of a malasada. I had the li hing with the lilikoi filling. My child had cinnamon and sugar with Nutella and then we had one plain coated in sugar. The filling was delicious, but I also enjoyed the plain one coated and sugar because it was hot and squishy and fabulous. Wish I had some hot coffee to enjoy with it. We sat in our car right there and power ate them. The only downside was having to drive to a gas station afterward (with an awning) to get out and brush myself off from all the sugar. The reviews are correct. This place is banging. Would I happily wait an hour? Hard no. Hahaha but if you're going to do that, go down the block to Thai Me Up first, and get some cashew chicken and eat that while you wait. A very delicious food truck excursion was had.

Expensive, dry, bland malasada's. Confusing Ai menu and a Karen behind the register. I don't understand why the ratings are so high.

Update Google & Yelp hours so that people don't waste their time & gas. Drove over an hour only to pull up and it be closed.

I tracked her down to her new location on the west side of the "food paradise" in Kihei. They are sold in 3's. They are made to order and you select the sugar and filling on each one. This is incredible customer service. Each malasada is large and filling and the fillings are delectable. There are tables nearby, but I usually take them home to enjoy while watching my Dodger games. Do not miss out on this treat when you visit Maui. If I'm 3 bills by winter, this will be why! Just in time for whale season!

They are right across the street so I may drive to the lot right next to the truck or just run across the street ! It's a cute, very clean food truck right off the hotel driveway & parking lot with parking stalls right near it in case you buy a bunch to take home. Or have a car full of luggage from your flight to Maui since it's just down the way from OGG airport. Malasadas put donuts to shame!!! ESPECIALLY if you like gooey fillings & toppings. My favorite ones are around Christmas but they have tons of regular fillings. I can never get less than three because I can't pass up my chance to try new ones. They have wonderful staff... especially the manager Sabrina...really know their way around dough and they do not scrimp on the Malasadas itself or the fillings! They ONLY cook just for you... so plan a few minutes wait but they have picnic tables under a tarp right there or you can walk around the other food trucks. But definitely at least take your first bites there while they're hot out of the frier!!! 'Only ONE piece of advice: ... G O. H U N G R Y !!!! ...

My husband and I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of food and quickly realized we may have gotten a little too ambitious. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, and it was exactly the kind of breakfast we wanted before a full day of exploring the island. The staff was friendly, service moved quickly despite how busy it was, and the atmosphere felt very local and welcoming. There are a lot of breakfast spots on Maui, but I can see why this place is always recommended. If you're visiting, it's definitely worth stopping by at least once. Just don't make the same mistake we did and over-order... although I can't say I regret it.

The vanilla latte was really good, and I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles too. The breakfast platter was also solid. Overall, simple, comforting breakfast food. The ordering system was a little weird and chaotic, though. You have to wait in line to order before finding a seat, but then also wait by the counter for your drinks. The space is pretty tight, and with families and tourists coming in, there were easily 20 people packed into the small area when we went. It felt really crowded and chaotic, and it was hard to know where to stand or wait. I also thought it was a little pricey considering how casual and chill the spot is and the amount of food you get. The food was good, but I expected either larger portions or slightly lower prices.
