My partner and I recently discovered this donut shop by our place and boy are we glad we did. It was a chilly rainy Sunday morning but there was still a line about 5 heads deep. Although the line seemed long, the wait for my breakfast sandwich was not. I had an egg and cheese bagel and it reminded me of the bagel sandwiches I used to get from NYC bodegas. They use real eggs and the sandwiches are made to order. I also could not believe how affordable it was. Only $6.25 for a breakfast sandwich is UNHEARD OF in the Bay Area. I can't wait to return to get another breakfast sandwich and to try their donut holes.

Exterior / outside. Doesn't look like much from the outside but omigod deliciousness inside.

=== Omigod, the old-fashioned buttermilks are outliers here, get the chocolate === I've been wanting to try this place forever. Our entire fam gets their hair cut at Shear Art next door but our appointments are always later in the day when Maple Leaf is already closed. Today, we had a rare morning appointment so popped on by, and this place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. +++ The old-fashioned buttermilk donuts here are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Crispier than the rest with almost a crunch to the edges, great flavor. We got chocolate and maple (no glazed left) and the chocolate was a standout. +++ Ube donut was also surprisingly good. We've had Ube a lot of places, but this donut in the cake (not raised) style was almost creamy inside in a good way. Definitely not your average dry cake donut. + Sandwiches were good. We got three egg and cheese bagels sandwiches - one with ham, one with sausage, one with bacon. Decent but not standouts compared to other places. (Good crust on the bagels though.) + Crossant sandwiches (one ham, one turkey) were solid. Produce was FRESH (again, my big test for a sandwich), entire sandwich was great. Mayo was on the heavy side which I personally love but your tastes may vary. + Super pleasant staff but also kept the line moving. + Really busy which is a good sign. But they get through the line quickly. +++ Prices seemed great. We got the 5 breakfast sandwiches and 6 donuts for less than $50. Small coffee less than $2.50? Where do you ever see that? TIP: GO EARLY. By 10 am, they had less than 50% of their donuts left and were selling out of key things. Good for them but sad for you if you get there closer to noon!

Came here to try their donuts, its a small donut shop but it has few seats to sit at and eat. I asked if they were connected to the other maple lead donuts on saratoga avenue and they said no diff owners. The donuts were fresh and soft, when you bit in you go all the way, no staleness at all. The glaze and chocolate coating was good amount. The coffee was decent and was nice. Just watch out when you park ur car cuz theres few homeless folk around the area so just grab your donuts and go. Great donuts for this campbell area

If you're looking for the best donuts in town, this local, family-owned shop is the place to go! Their donuts taste amazing & are always fresh. They also have the most delicious breakfast sandwiches -- my go to ALWAYS. Beyond the food, the service is top-notch!! You can feel the love and care that goes into running this shop. The staff is always super kind and attentive, and coming here always makes my morning. :) This donut shop will quickly become your go-to spot. It's definitely mine!

Solid spot for breakfast foods and donuts! I got a turkey, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and added avocado for extra $1.50. I also got a maple bar and glazed old-fashioned donut. My favorite was the glazed old-fashioned donut - so delicious!! Croissant sandwich and maple bar didn't stand out to me as much in comparison. I tried some of my friend's tuna sandwich and that was definitely more up my alley. I will be getting the tuna sandwich next time and trying other donuts!

I used to come here all the time as a child. They saw me so frequently that they would often even stash the last cinnamon twist for me if it was a day they thought I was coming in. Now, I don't really eat doughnuts. But, recently I stopped in for one of the croissant breakfast sandwiches. It was made to order, took only about 4-5 minutes and came out piping hot and with gooey cheese. It pretty was good and hit the spot that day!

TLDR: Amazing service! The workers really value their customers. I love this place. My go-to is a croissant with egg & cheese, and they usually put a bit of seasoning on it I sometimes opt out of getting donuts because I find them to be stale most of the time, but my go-to Nonetheless, it's a small mom & pop shop with top tier service. The people working are always very nice and my roommates and I often praise them for knowing our order before we even get to the front. And I've noticed this same service with a lot of their regular customers. I can tell they value community and those that support their business

Croissant with bacon egg and cheese

I would give this establishment an 10 star rating if I could. The service and food is top tier. This family owned business has a great comfy feeling that brings joy to my day. Their donuts are some of the best I've ever had. Other than their exquisite donut selection their breakfast sandwich and Vietnamese coffee are two meal items that are constantly my go to. If you're looking for a good breakfast spot this is definitely the place to be!

It is located next to the grocery store Nobhill and there are quick 20min parking in front of the store. We were greeted right when we entered the door and looked at the delicious treats to eat. The sign in front of the store had some drink specials and I got a strawberry/matcha drink I think it was called Rose. I asked what was good here and the cashier said the mini almond pastries and other treats in the front. The mini almond pastry was really good and also got a crème brûlée which was really good as well. I would come back again and try their hot teas next time. Delicious treats. When my turn came up the barista was short tempered with me for not knowing what sizes the drink came in promptly when those options weren't displayed anywhere on the menu or table (note: what's shown on their menu is price for 8 oz hot and 16 oz iced, but not what the sizes are for hot). Then as she was making the drink, she had mine sitting at the counter for a good few minutes without calling my name because she was busy chatting it up with a customer, handing him a note, talking about travel plans, etc. When I asked where my drink was and that I had been waiting for a while the other barista proceeded to say that they've just been busy. No, the tatted Asian barista with an eyebrow piercing was just not serving each customer kindly. I've come here for years and have had good experiences, but based on my last visit, I'd come back for the quality coffee but not with a high expectation for the service and if I had a lot of time between grabbing coffee and the next thing - I was here for over 20 mins before I got my drink

There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.
