Okay - so this review is long overdue. I've been to the other maple leafs but THIS MAPLE LEAF is definitely way better as far as customer service, cleanliness, positive atmosphere, and delicious donuts/croissants/coffee. It's amazing and definitely hands down favorite go to spot in my neighborhood. The people that own this place and work here are the sweetest soft spoken humble people ever. I always tend to over spend just so I can give them more of my money and keep them going. The place is Affordable, fresh tasty donuts (they sell out QUICK sometimes FYI), and quality breakfast sandwiches (IMO). Today me and the roomies went for a Vietnamese iced coffee, iced americano, and breakfast croissants. They're a really good size, wrapped securely, and they use some type of white cheese that's just so damn tasty. Tbh I'll usually add jalapeños to give it a little flavorful kick but depends on what you fancy. Such a great menu selection as far as breakfast sandwiches go. This place can get super packed at times but they follow strict COVID protocol - masks worn in store (not chin diapers - over ur nose masks) - and enforce social distancing inside and out with spaced out red taped xs on the floor to help people maintain social distancing. Place is incredibly clean, which is huge. also did I mention their coffee is pretty damn good? I think so - heh. But anywho. The iced americano kicks Starbucks dirt water in the butt. $7.08 for six donuts?!? What??? How is that even possible? I can't eat gluten. Or dairy. (Please go ahead and pity me - I miss both terribly!) So I've been out of the donut loop for quite awhile. But this seems like 80s pricing and I haven't been out of donut touch for that long! Today, I needed to get donuts for a birthday party and so headed to Maple. I'd heard they were good... Staff (owners?) was really friendly and efficient. Super efficient! They get people in and out (good news if there's a line out the door - which I've been told there sometimes is)! I had the #4 croissant with sausage egg bacon and cheese. I thought it was ok, but maybe not deserving of the raves I'd read on YELP. The sandwich tasted fine but I discerned no obvious spreads, and everything in the sandwich was microwaved. Egg, bacon, sausage - all nuked by the quicker of the two young ladies behind the counter. Also, the photos on the menu board showed jalapeños so I assumed I'd get some. None came. I guess I should have asked? My croissant was to-go so when I realized, it was too late. Heat of some sort would definitely have improved the experience. Picked up 18 donuts for my group here, including blueberry, chocolate, crueller, and regular glazed. When I brought them to my meeting, everyone loved them and they even tasted great the next day. My favorite one is the blueberry one, since it's got a nice fruity flavor, but it's soft. read more

I have been here a number of times because I only live a couple blocks away. I have had many items here. The donuts are amazing. My favorite are the classic, the maple glazed, and the French cruellers. The croissants are absolutely amazing. They are huge and crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. They also have really nice sandwiches and drinks. I highly recommend this place. Make it your local donut shop. It's a small family run place. I guess I feel stingy today, but Maple Leaf didn't WOW me....maybe I've had so many donuts now that I am starting to become more of a picky donut connisseur?? Nah...I think I just was hoping for more of a squishy, ooshy kind of glazed donut from this place....it was not gushy enough for that moment in time. Chocolate glazed old fashioned was tasty though. I have lived in Campbell for 5 years and never seen this place! It's right by 7 eleven and Safeway that I go to occasionally on Budd! I walked in and there was a line but right away one of the two woman waited on me. They had tons of donuts there of every kind: raised, glazed, old fashioned, apple fritter, etc. I got a box for the work folks and everyone was very happy! I had the glazed old fashioned and it melted in my mouth and was just heavenly!! I may have to go here again. A dozen was $7.25 and they are 75 cents each is you don't want to share with you coworkers ;)) read more

Yelp reviewers take note - the Google map of this location is inaccurate. I mistakenly wrote a review for this place based on the map (because I couldn't remember the name) when it should have been for Happy Donuts up the street. Anyway, as to this place...I typically come in here on my days off so it's "late" by donut shop standards (usually between 9am-10am) and they consistently have a pretty poor selection of donuts. I could maybe forgive this if it were strictly a donut shop and they closed early, but if I'm not mistaken they serve sandwiches and stuff so there isn't any reason they can't keep the donut selection up through the afternoon. They have a case that holds maybe 10 trays of donuts but I have never seen more than 2-3 trays at the times I come in. There are a couple of women that work here (Mom and daughter?) and while the younger one is always pleasant and friendly, the older lady is often times aloof. Today when I went in she was on the phone the whole time as she helped me and there was basically no interaction other than me pointing to what I wanted and her ringing it up and waiting for me to pay her. The inside looks old and isn't real "eat in" friendly...kinda cramped. In a pinch I will keep going here because it's convenient but I think I might have to really consider driving the extra mile up the street and going to Happy Donuts where the staff is...well...HAPPY! read more

This is a wonderful family owned business, the two fantastic ladies are usually there up front when we normally go here on Saturday mornings. My sons look forward to getting their two donuts each weekend, it has become a family tradition. The donuts are flaky and gooey goodness, we all enjoy our morning when we have a few, and trust us we will continue to show up here on Saturday morning and enjoy these donuts. Went here this morning. It was my third time here. The first two times were pretty basic. I got my dozen donuts, no complaints on the taste. Service wasn't memorable. This time around I showed up around 6am. The ladies up front were no where to be found and a random guy reading the paper at one of the tables jumps up and starts helping me out. One of the workers pops up from behind the counter and takes my order. I ordered a croissant and a half dozen donuts. The lady stuck my donuts in a bag and all the oil started seeping through. I had to lay newspaper in my car. Where the heck is my pink donut box? The croissant was freshly made but not cooked all the way. It was still doughy inside. I only came here because my usual donut shop down the street, Happy Donuts, was closed for a couple days. Happy Donuts is very friendly. I used to come here almost every morning when I worked near this area. Their breakfast croissants are pretty good and filling. I usually get the ham, egg, bacon and cheese croissant with a Vietnamese Iced coffee and a maple donut bar or chocolate glazed donut. I was driving by this place with my girl and I asked her if she wanted the best donut of her life! I would have given this place 5 stars but they ran out of donuts by 11am and I hate disappointing my girl. I ended up getting a breakfast croissant and shared some with her, she said it was pretty good. As for the Vietnamese iced coffee, it wasn't as strong as I like it but it was alright and a donut would have hit the spot. The prices here are not bad, and they have plenty of parking out front. I guess if you really want a donut you could just get one at 7-11 next door when they run out. read more
