This is a cute little spot for coffee and a light bite as we were stopping through. Just enough off the beaten path that it wasn't crazy busy. The service was great (they gave us dog treats and water bowl for our pup), and the ambiance is cute and trendy. Only reason for 4 stars is that the coffee was just ok. The Pro's: Super friendly staff. They are patient while you decide and will help you with any questions you have. The baked goods all taste fresh and are amazing. Coffee is pretty good, if you like experimenting with your latte's this is the best lab in town. They have the nuttiest ideas for latte's. I'm a traditionalist (caramel latte). It is very clean inside. The Neither: The price is probably right but tough to pay. I force myself to pay for the coffee and baked goods. The Con's: It can get quite warm inside, as well as sometimes when it's busy you are very close to other people; I can hear their whole conversation. Also during the summer flies can be a problem inside and out not sure if that was just when I was there but it did get to me. read more

Maple Street is a cute little place but unfortunately for how popular it is they don't have ample space for their customers. I waltzed in here this morning around 10:30 and not one spot was open. One of the baristas kindly offered that I could sit outside, but perhaps she didn't see it was raining. I did order the 12 oz. lavender brown sugar mocha and manachevit, it was tasty. This is the bistro of my dreams. I'm originally from Spokane and live in Seattle; I try to hit up the Maple Street Bistro every time I'm in town. I'm pretty picky about my coffee and have never been disappointed. There are a select few cafes that I frequent in Spokane, and this makes the cut. What's more, every single baked good, sandwich, or salad I've had here is out of this world. The staff is exceptionally friendly and patient. They bring your order to your table with a smile. I love everything about Maple Street Bistro. The help is attentive, responsive, and courteous. The baked items are freshly baked on site each morning. There are enough choices to require many trips. Today I had the steel cut oats with pecans, brown sugar, and fresh strawberries. Delicious! I can count on two fingers the number of places in town that can make a White Angel properly and Maple Street Bistro is one of them. Today was our second visit. We came back because the food was good the first time even though we waited a LONG time (our coffee didn't come out for 20 minutes). No dice. When we arrived there were only 2 tables waiting. We sat 15 minutes for coffee and 25 minutes for our food. That included an already made cinnamon roll which was supposed to be heated (spoiler - it wasn't). The staff is very nice but it seems like there's no sense of urgency. The other thing we noticed was the drive through lane was moving at a clip, which makes us think they get priority when ordering. Bottom line: staff is nice, atmosphere is cute and food is tasty, but only go here if you have time to kill. If you want to be in and out in a normal amount of time look elsewhere unless you enjoy looking at your watch every 3 minutes and eating your food like it's a race. The Dave's Club Wrap was by far our favorite and we really enjoyed the Greek Salad - one of the best I've tasted. Not sure where they sourced their feta but divine. We decided to try out this place today for a lazy brunch. We got the Chicken Pesto Panini on wheat, the chicken was extremely dry and therefore the sandwich required much water to be consumed with it. We also got the Homestyle Wrap w/potato hash, this was delicious and moist. The potatoes were a bit dry but the rest of the wrap added moisture to it. We also got the Pesto Pasta salad, this was good, nothing to rave or complain about. Along with our meal we tried the Pumpkin Brown Sugar muffin, amazing and would totally come here again for this alone!!!! The coffees were mediocre, if it is on their "specialties" list you would think that it would knock your socks off....sadly it didn't. This is such a great spot for breakfast on the north side of town. It has a great laid back feel and the staff is always friendly. One time they forgot my order and were super apologetic about it and gave me a coupon for 1 free breakfast sandwich and a free second coffee without me asking -- just really great customer service all around. There is also a drive through that is very convenient! They have tons of coffee/teas, breads, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, etc...I have had their lunch sandwiches and their prepared pastas too and never have been disappointed. Still warm, freshly made, the cheese and cream cheese were melted into the sandwich. The iced tea was good, but not too exciting. My friend, however had a smoothie with blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, spinach, and cucumber (you can choose your smoothie ingredients).
