Found this place spontaneously and came here for dinner on a weekday around 7:30pm. It wasn't busy at first but it got busier as time goes by. They are open until 1am so it's a great spot to have a drink and enjoy Korean food until late. The staff is a couple and they are very kind with their quick and generous service. They really hustle for everything you need and move fast. Great suggestions, they don't try to oversell anything and suggested portion was spot on. The meat quality to the broth to kimchi was all spot on. Our entire group was pleasantly surprised. Provided extra broth for our table and those services really go a long way. The assorted ($50) came with broth and it's good for 3 people. Katsu was $20.99 and the individual soup was around $18.99 I believe. I'd recommend and will come back thanks to her positive attitude and great service alone!

Beef soup w/ brisket and banchan

Beef soup with brisket was delicious! Highly recommend for a cold day or anytime. Soup with a lot of meat, noodles and a bowl of rice. Season your soup with salt and the green onions provided, so good. The soup was piping hot and flavored perfectly after adding the salt and green onion. They have 3 kinds of banchan, which includes fish cake, kimchi and radish and each banchan was perfectly seasoned! We couldn't stop eating the banchan and asked for multiple refills hehe and they were was so kind and happy to bring a refill each time! We went on a Saturday night and service was great but there was only 1 person working the front at the time. Luckily there weren't that many patrons hopefully because it was early dinner but hoping this place becomes more popular! Would totally come again.

Stopped by for a bite before hitting the bars and wow, this place is legit. We got the bossam (steamed pork) and the potato pancakes. Both were giant portions and delicious. The banchan was super fresh and delicious. Was enough food to feed 4-5 people. Wish we lived closer, would be here all the time to try other menu items.

I was craving soup at night and found this spot open late. So happy I tried this spot! The soup here is soo good! We got the beef soup with brisket & the rice cake and dumpling soup. They have one of the best beef soups I've had. The broth is soo flavorful & the brisket is tender. The banchan was also really yummy. The worker was super nice & I loved how clean the restaurant is.

First time here! My and my friend got wayyy too much food but we wanted to try everything it was so worth it though.... Food was 10/10 honestly the best korean food we both had in a while. Our server, I believe he was the owner, was super nice and we could hear him cooking the food Ambiance was super nice too and not crowded! Definitely will be back to support. My new late night go to spot!

Will definitely come back. Everything was delicious. Top: Kimchee Stew. Middle: Seafood Pancake. Bottom: Beef Soup w/ Brisket

Date night w/ the BF. We were in the mood for Korean food. Went on good Old yelp and came across this place. Its a quiet little mum and pop shop. Has amazing food and service. I got the the beef soup w/ brisket, the bf got kimchee stew, and we got the seafood pancake. Everything was delicious. Will definitely come back to try their bossam and mackerel. Give this place a try if ure a korean food fan. Cheers

    - Bean sprouts were perfectly seasoned. - Kimchi was good, but a little too salty. - Seafood pancake was soft, crispy, not dry, packed with seafood, perfectly seasoned. - Bossam had thicker cuts than I was used to, but was still decent. - Water tasted good. This review was based on my personal experience at the time.

A gem. This was my 2nd time visiting Mapo Korean, and it was absolutely amazing! The Kimchi stew with poke ribs was gigantic and delicious with so much kimchi and pork ribs. The 6 of us barely finished half of it. Bossam was awesome as well. Service was great and so was the price. This will be our go to Korean restaurant when we crave Bossam and Kimchi Stew with Port ribs and no to mention Soju!

Love this place! Lots of parking outside and plenty of seating available. Very modern vibe. The food is authentic and delicious. Service is great and fast. I would highly recommend.

Wow the food was amazing, we came here after watching demon slayer and was not disappointed. Went here specifically for the Bossam and it was a 10/10z I also ordered one of the soups and it was so gas.

Ordered Bossam and I enjoyed it very much. Portion was very good for the price. We also ordered the lunch special beef brisket soup and that was tasty as well. All the banchans were fresh and plentiful. I will be coming again!

My fiancé had the Pho Chicken, my sister had the garlic noodles with a fried chicken cutlet and Cajun zucchini, my niece had a regular pho (just broth and noodles) and I had the Pho Brisket. We also got a fresh cucumber limeade and a Vietnamese coffee. The service was decent too. Like I said they brought the food decently fast and they attentive with each table. I would recommend this place to everyone and I would be returning to try their other items.

This time we decided to switch it up and try some of the other items on the menu. We came to Soup Shop on a Saturday afternoon and it was moderately busy, but we were seated right away. Even with the crowd, our food came out pretty quickly. Yes, we got the cajun fries. Not my chosen pick, but I'll give my partner credit, they were actually really good. The popcorn chicken was also good, especially with the sauce it came with. The shaken beef was easily the best dish for me. The beef was flavorful, but that green sauce was so good. It brought the whole dish together and was my favorite part of the meal. For drinks, we tried the Thai tea and the cucumber lime refresher, and both were really good. We've already had the pho here plenty of times, so it was nice finding out that some of the other menu items are worth ordering too. If you're someone who always comes here for pho, don't be afraid to wander around the menu a little.
