Really disappointed in how this place has changed. We had several really good meals here for a few months. But the last two times we visited, the food wasn't good. The service was slow, and the waiter was horrible. He kept making jokes that weren't funny, kind of rude, and we all were just uncomfortable. Uncertain how many Migas folks are out there but Marcos and his staff were kind enough to make them for me on the weekends. Best I have ever had... kudos to the chef! Short story on Migas.. What started out good quickly turned bad at the end. We arrived at the restaurant it was empty. We decided to give it a shot anyway. We were intrigued by the reviews. We ordered Fish tacos, pork tacos, Queso and a chimichanga. We also ordered a large beer and two margaritas. The food was good for the most part. The drinks were pricey but good. We requested a to go box for the leftovers. I then requested a small container of the salsa verde to go. This was the same sauce we had at the table. And...this is when things went south. After about 10 minutes, the waiter did not return to the table. I went around the corner and found him standing there. I reminded about the salsa. He says you have to pay for that. Mind you, it was a really small container. I said sure okay. He charges me $1.89 for a really small container of Salsa. It was probably worth $.25. The old guy wasn't nice at all. We tried to eat here tonight (Tuesday) at 6:30pm. Walked in and waited at hostess stand 10 minutes completely ignored. We were surprised by how busy they were in a Tuesday. FINALLY a nice lady came out and informed us the restaurant had a party of 100 and we would have quite a wait. We decided it wouldn't be a good time to try this place. We absolutely love this place! We moved back to the DFW area from south Texas ( where there is nothing but excellent Mexican cuisine) but this place is absolutely amazing! We have tried so many places since moving back to the area and just weren't pleased . The service, food and atmosphere are excellent! Well what can I say "it's Tex Mex". I had a salad with steak in it. That was okay, they never came by with a refill on chips so big points off for that. We had to ask for refills on drinks. My wife enjoyed her ground beef taco and cheese enchiladas. The 6 dollar flan was good but kind of pricey for a little square of flan. I guess I will give them one more shot before I write them off for poor service. So far what I have eaten has been so so. This was our second visit to the restaurant. As with our first visit, the food was delicious. We started with a cup of queso with ground beef and pico de gallo - wonderful! For dinner, I had the brisket quesadillas tonight. The brisket was flavorful and juicy. Definitely something I'd order again! The difference in our first visit and this visit lies with the server. The waiter our first time around was awesome! It seemed he truly loved his job and believed in the food and the restaurant. He was personable and more than willing to offer opinions and suggestions when asked. Our waitress tonight was very soft spoken and pretty much invisible - we saw her shortly after we were seated then again to order appetizers. Long after the queso was gone, she appeared to take our dinner orders, then we didn't see her again until we were finished eating. I'd highly recommend Mar-Cosina for the food but it seems that service may be hit or miss. read more

The evening setting was very elegant with nice tablecloths and wonderful place settings with cloth napkins. We were seated immediately and were absolutely just taken care of. From water, cocktails, entrees, and dessert. Great job all around. They also have a wonderful outdoor patio covered by a canopy of trees, but it was just too hot to sit out there. It will be wonderful when it cools down, though. The menu has such a variety. It's not just Tex-Mex, but also seafood, burgers, etc. This new little gem will appeal to a lot of people! The plates overall are on the smaller size, not terrible for the price, but definitely smaller than most chains, of course quality is superior here. Two things were incorrect, kids quesadilla was ordered as cheese and received chicken and my husband asked for corn tortillas with his fajitas and got flour. We asked for the quesadilla to be fixed, and it was quickly. My husband kept the flour tortillas. We shared sopapillas and they were served warm and so tasty. I hate to give these nice people a 3, but I know y'all want the truth. Our waiter was super kind and helpful, along with other staff we encountered. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, well spaced between tables, and has white tablecloths (a nice bonus). The atmosphere is a 5. Also, the margaritas are a solid 4. My husband had the jalapeño cucumber margarita which is spicy-spa-licious. I had the frozen top shelf which is decent. The chips and salsa are basic. They bring refried black beans with the c/s, and it is good. The queso is ball park cheese. Hard pass. The guacamole is super chunky and oxidized, but didn't taste bad. The biggest problems: beef fajita meat had a really icky flavor and the chicken fajitas tasted very pre-cooked-frozen. The meal was definitely not worth $75. That's for a small queso, 2 margaritas total, 1 beef fajita for one and 1 chicken fajita for one. Plus tip. Please keep in mind I've eaten looooots of really good Mexican food. I've been here several times. Initially, food was iffy, service was solid. And it smelled bad when you walked in, like mildew. They've fixed that, and the food has been much better since the first couple of visits. They have a lunch buffet--nice option, but better to order from the menu. My favorite--the fajita salad. For 9 bucks, I think, you can get your fajita fix without feeling so miserably stuffed after lunch. I've ordered the beef salad twice, and it was excellent both times, with LOTS of beef, freshly sliced avocado, juicy tomato, etc, on a bed of good, crunchy Romaine. Chips and salsa are solid, black bean dip is similarly good to Gloria's. Food is very good, not fantastic. Service has been good every time. Worth your time and money. read more
